To provide safety planning, support, advice and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge.

The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation

The post-holder will work to empower and support children to make positive choices.

To establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge accommodation.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours service on a rota basis.

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in the communications with, support for and retention of volunteers. You will also help develop the volunteer experience across the organisation, ensuring continuity and quality in our volunteer involvement practices.​

Primary Responsibilities​​​

• Work with the Volunteer Services Manager to deliver the Volunteer Strategy and Bookmark’s vision​

This role will work closely with the Head of Support Services supporting our volunteers and wider community through a range of services and events. 

You’ll work with our incredible volunteers to support others living with conditions and raise awareness and understanding of our work.  You will recruit and support people to engage in volunteering in the way that best suits them.

Alongside this you will undertake administrative work to ensure the smooth running of Support Services, and deliver our flagship in person events. 

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely day to day with the Head of Support Services. It’s an exciting role which offers the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in a supportive, can-do, values led organization.

Role Description

Volunteers

o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.

o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.

o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.

o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.

o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.

o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.

o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.

o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.

o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;

Helpline and Telephone Buddies

o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme

o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme

o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group

o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.

Local Support Groups

o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.

o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.

o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.

Other Volunteers

o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.

o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.

o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.

Support Service Coordination

o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.

o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.

o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.

o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.

o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.

o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.

Support Services Events

o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually.  These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community. 

o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.

o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.

o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. This role and why it’s important 

It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.

Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.

This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities: 

1. Youth Advisory Board support: 

• Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends. 

• Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

• Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment. 

• Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members. 

• Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members. 

• Coordinate YAB attendance at external events. 

2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications: 

• Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team. 

• Work with the communications team to amplify young people's voices on social media. 

• Assist young people in sharing their views and stories through various communication methods. 

3. Managing grants and contracts: 

• Maintain records of payments and tasks using Salesforce. 

• Assist stakeholders and team members in using Salesforce effectively. 

• Support in procurement processes and grant management by organising documents and scheduling meetings. 

• Proactively identify and address issues. 

4. Collaboration and support: 

• Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

Main purpose of post  

The main purpose of this post it to work alongside the Events Manager and Fundraising team to help deliver a range of charity events, both Weston Park Cancer Charity led and third part events, throughout the year. This will also involve seeking out new opportunities and events that the charity can get involved with in order to continually grow the events portfolio year on year.

This Role will also involve working closely with our supporters, especially those attending/taking on an event for the charity by providing a high level of donor care.

We are looking for someone with a passion for events and the charity sector, and the ambition to help continually grow our event generated income.

What you do  

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Events Manager to plan, organise and deliver the Weston Park Cancer Charity key events across the year including: Doncaster Race Evening, Golf Days, Walk as One and Sing Under the Stars.

• Work with the Events Manager to deliver third party active events including: Skydive, Yorkshire Three Peaks and Great North Run.

• Provide support as well as lead on other events that the charity may be involved with throughout the year including hospital engagement events.

• Work with the Events Manager to continually develop the charity events portfolio for 2025 and beyond

• Provide high level donor care to support donors on their ‘journey’ for those taking on an event for the charity, through exploring opportunities to feel connected and enthusiastic about the work that we do. This will involve welcoming supporters, sending them good lucks and following up with them post event to see how they got on.

• Work closely with our fundraising platform, Raisely, to give our supporters the best stewardship journey possible.

• Seek new event opportunities that Weston Park Cancer Charity could partner with or be involved in.

• Represent the charity at charity events across the region and the UK

About the role:

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.

The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.

The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.

Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

About the role

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Legacy Fundraising Officer. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.

Over a third of Sense’s voluntary income comes from gifts in Wills. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and delivery of the legacy marketing programme for existing and new supporters, in order to increase income from legacies and maintain and grow .our pipeline of legacy prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Legacy Manager and Head of Individual Giving & Legacies in shaping and delivering the legacy marketing and administration programme to achieve annual income targets and other KPIs.
• To manage the delivery of legacy marketing projects from conception to delivery and evaluation in conjunction with the appropriate team members.
• Negotiate project costs with key suppliers to ensure projects are as cost-effective as possible.
• To actively participate in planning and review meetings with the Legacy team and other colleagues and key suppliers, and maintain a thorough understanding of latest developments, current trends, and legislation as it applies to the fundraising and legacy landscape.
• To project manage the development and delivery of legacy marketing activities across a variety of media to acquire new or steward existing legacy supporters to Sense. 
• To manage the annual legacy ‘Remember A Charity’ campaign raising awareness of legacy giving among internal stakeholders, their networks, supporters and the public

Key skills and experience

• Proven experience of managing all aspects of the delivery of successful fundraising direct marketing campaigns in a charity or not-for-profit setting from inception stage to post campaign analysis.  
• Self-starter and highly organised with an ability to work systemically to targets and deadlines.  
• Demonstrable experience of supporter acquisition, retention and development of supporters.
• Confident with data selections / segmentation and campaign analysis principles.
• Ability to confidently manage all stages of direct marketing based fundraising campaigns across a range of media including Telephone, Direct Mail, Email and SMS to deliver successful fundraising campaigns. 
• A good eye for design and a proven creative flair, with some copywriting / editing experience and an impeccable attention to detail.

Administration Officer – England Central

We are recruiting an Administration Officer to provide an effective and comprehensive range of administrative support to workstreams/projects, which will enable the charity to fulfil its function across Central England to a high-quality standard.

What you will do:

Coordinate training bookings, using the diary system, email and databases to ensure training is organised, allocated and delivered.

Create resource pack for colleagues delivering training courses and workshops.
