We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant at York Minster Fund for an initial fixed term contract of 12 months, commencing summer 2024. York Minster Fund is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work. Established in 1967, as an emergency response to an urgent restoration project, we secure funds from charitable foundations, major and corporate donors, legacy donors, individuals and events.
Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management.
In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. As part of our small but highly experienced team, no two days are the same and the role could see you supporting with many different projects and tasks including donor events administration and delivery, correspondence and research.
There is some flexibility for home working, but we do need regular office attendance for this role in York.

The Inclusion Officer will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes across Northamptonshire, this includes the Premier League Kicks programme and anti-crime initiatives. The Premier League Kicks programme is a flagship targeted project, which uses the power of football and sports participation, alongside personal development activities, to help hard-to-reach young people in some of the most high-need areas.
The Inclusion Officer will be integral to the successful delivery and growth of the Kicks Programme across Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the Kicks programme, as well as other disability and inclusion projects that help to connect communities, leading a team to deliver these initiatives. In addition, the post holder will have frontline delivery responsibility, engaging with young people, leading on the delivery of youth engagement sessions, and the delivery of educational workshops in the local community.
These will be based on themes including knife crime, equality, anti-social behaviour and mental health. You’ll be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential. You’ll use your skills to help inspire, motivate and engage young people so that NTFC CT can enhance life chances and contribute to building stronger, safer, connected communities. Main Purpose of Job
To ensure the smooth running of the sales floor and main office to offer a high-quality service to donators and customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving customers, dealing with enquiries, arranging delivery when necessary
- Processing cash, card and other customer payments
- Arranging for approved donations of furniture to be collected
- Handling product returns and payment refund requests
- Helping with movement, inventory and presentation of stock in the warehouse
- To assist in the movement of stock by road transport, including van driving.
- To assist and support new volunteers as directed. Ensure that volunteers understand the customer service standards that we aspire to as an organisation
- To follow all statutory Health and Safety requirements and those detailed in the organisation’s Health and Safety policy and risk assessments
- Work flexibly and to be prepared to contribute to all areas of work in the organisation
- Collect and share feedback from volunteers, work placement trainees, donors and customers with the CEO
- To undertake any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary by the CEO

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

We offer a service to people who live within the Torbay, Teignbridge, and the South Hams area. Devon Partnership Trust staff Devon wide can also access our confidential Job Retention Service. You’ll need to be a proactive coach who is able to ensure that customers receive timely and efficient support that meets their individual needs. You’ll need to have drive, determination and motivation to encourage and inspire and have a naturally creative and empathetic nature.
This is a pivotal role in supporting our clients, so our ideal candidate must be able to build strong relationships to bring clarity and understanding to offer practical advice and guidance to support and encourage. You’ll need to be able demonstrate effective coaching and mentoring skills, have the ability to build rapport and engage with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
