The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.
The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics. The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.
The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.
Who we are looking for
You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.
An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence.
This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called 'honour' based crimes such as forced marriage.
Our free, women-only and survivor-led service offers a holistic response to women and girls who have experienced, or are at risk of, gendered violence.

The new Reading Housing First service aims to support hard to reach clients with complex needs by sourcing independent tenancies and providing intensive support into long term accommodation. The innovative new Housing First and Complex Couples Move on Support service will continue to support individuals, as well as helping couples who have experienced homelessness and struggled to stay in long term accommodation to find and keep a home, together.
- In the role of Housing First Worker, you will work 9-5 Monday to Friday, working with a person centred approach to support clients in their own homes as well as in the community.
- You will be responsible for managing a small caseload of client’s day to day, delivering ongoing and intensive support to help people set up their home, with the overall goal of supporting them to sustain their tenancy and achieve individual goals and aspirations.

The Role

Overview of the role
The Executive & HR Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that BRAC’s office in Europe operates efficiently and effectively to deliver its mission to support BRAC’s work. Working within the Programme and Business Development Department, you will support the embedding of all climate related activities across Reall’s existing programmes and future work.
The Role
We are seeking an agile, smart, confident individual with a can-do attitude to support Reall’s Climate Advocacy and Green Building Programme. You will work with the Programme Lead to drive the organisation’s capacity to become a thought and practice-leader in climate-smart and affordable homes across Urban Africa and Asia. Acting as an agent of change for the climate, the role will support, enable, and coordinate all climate related activities to help Reall deliver climate-positive work and monitor its impact across its markets.
You will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Ability to build and maintain momentum ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Experience in completing research-based tasks and gathering critical information with the ability to share findings in various written and spoken formats when required
- Understanding of emerging markets or the ability to gain insight and learn about the sustainable cities sector and green affordable housing.
- Excellent coordination, facilitation, planning capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for a wide range of audiences.
- Responsibility for and experience in administering and coordinating work streams and ensuring deadlines are met by all
- Ability to work with directly and effectively or facilitate interactions with diverse stakeholders, including governments, civil society, and private sector partners.
- Experience in supporting projects and delivering high-quality results and outputs.

Salary – £28,000 - £36,000 per annum dependent on experience
Working hours – Normal office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We are open to flexible working patterns subject to the objectives and outcomes of the role being met. We are currently working hybrid with blended office and homeworking with the ability to work up to three days from home.
