A leading UK healthcare charity is currently recruiting an Interim Senior Management Accountant to to provide extra capacity across the management accounts and finance business partnering function during a busy time for the department.

The core duties of the role will be as follows, though as you will be supporting with extra capacity other duties or projects may be available:

• Work with the Head of Finance to support in the improvement of the month-end processes

Summary

Are you passionate about fostering ecumenical relationships and shaping the strategic direction of ecumenically-based collaboration? We are seeking an experienced ecumenist to become National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations to support the Archbishops and Bishops in their ecumenical responsibilities, ensuring meaningful partnerships with churches across the UK and beyond.

The ecumenical sub-team is currently composed of three staff, two of whom (including the advertised post) are full-time, and one part-time, with access to administrative support from a fourth (half-time). The National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations is the sub-team manager. The sub-team is part of the Faith and Public Life team and is based at Lambeth Palace. It operates under the aegis of the Council for Christian Unity, reporting to the Archbishops' Council and also to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.

What you'll be doing

The National Ecumenical Officer is a senior post, and the person appointed will work with the Council for Christian Unity to direct and manage the Church of England's ecumenical relationships at home and abroad and will work through the Office of the Archbishops to support the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in their ecumenical engagements.

As National Ecumenical Officer, you will promote, sustain and develop the Church of England's ecumenical relations, with a focus on enabling cooperation between churches in mission and evangelism. This involves working on cross-cutting issues with a bearing on ecumenical relations with other churches.

As someone considering this role, you will have extensive experience of ecumenical dialogue, whether locally, nationally or internationally, and a vision for ecumenism which holds unity and diversity together creatively. You will be driven by a theological vision for the work and have the pragmatism to know what is achievable and at what cost. You will be skilled in working with a range of senior stakeholders, with the wisdom to advise them authoritatively on ecumenical matters.

Interviews are expected to take place on 30 June 2025.

Summary of main responsibilities

• Provide ecumenical guidance to Archbishops and bishops in their ministries.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the F&PL team, shaping ecumenical priorities.
• Represent the CCU and the Church of England at ecumenical bodies and key events.
• Offer theological expertise, collaborating with FAOC and integrating insights into the F&PL team's work.

Key role requirements

• Because of the representative role of this post and the nature of the relationships it involves, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the person appointed be a Communicant member of the Church of England.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and abroad, including overnight trips.
• Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation to work from the office (Church House, London or The Old Brewhouse - Bishopthorpe, York). Details about working arrangements for this post will be discussed further at the interview.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

For over 20 years, we’ve provided accommodation and specialist support to people who are facing homelessness and destitution because of their insecure or unresolved immigration status. You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. We are looking for someone to bring enthusiasm, personal credibility, discretion and sensitivity. You will be ultimately responsible for Finance and Resource Management within the charities.
You will work directly with the trustees of both charities and the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) which comprises of the Director of Development, the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) (Director of HR and Programmes), and the Chief Executive. You will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the charities meet their statutory obligations, that financial functions are well ordered and support the work of the charities.
Managing and leading a small and diverse team through high pressure periods including month end, year-end and annual budgeting, you require high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with staff at all levels, often having to mentor the charities’ managers to help them plan and manage their own budgets.
Your financial responsibilities are substantial as you will have overall control and responsibility for all financial matters. You will be thinking both strategically and seeing the big picture, whilst also analysing figures in detail to ensure that the financial management of both charities are sound. In periods of change and growth, it is critical that you are effective in coordinating corporate finance (funding sources, non-profit capital structuring and investment decisions) and managing charity policies regarding capital requirements to deliver against each charity’s objects and plans, taxation, equity and investments as appropriate.

We are seeking a Finance Officer with a keen eye for detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills, to take on purchase ledger and payroll administration duties in our Finance Department.   You will have either begun on the path of attaining a financial qualification or had some experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all purchases, payments and returns, including supplier invoices, staff payments (salaries, expenses and advances), project and contractor payments and credit card transactions.  Responsible for project reporting against budget.

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.

Some of the work will be providing specialised wrap around support to children and their families where the child has been, or is currently being sexually exploited (CSE support). You will provide information about reporting processes; support CYP who have reported to the police; provide emotional support to CYP when they give their evidence in court and provide information about other options, such as civil action and Criminal Injuries Compensation.

12 month fixed-term contract with opportunities for extension (funding dependent)

Untrained ISVA: £31,067 (NJC 19) full time equivalent plus 3% employer pension contribution

Hours of work 

Full-time | 38 hours per week | Working hours pattern: 3 days working 9am-5pm, 1 day working 9am-3pm and 1 day working 11am-7pm | 2 days working from home a week

Purpose of post:

To provide a high quality and victim/survivor-focused advocacy service to CYP who have been subjected to sexual violence, abuse, sexual exploitation and/or coercion, in order to:

• Provide emotional and practical support, at every stage of the victim/survivor journey
• Pro-actively and assertively advocate for those who have reported to the Police, are thinking of doing so, or choose not to report (safeguarding guidelines will be followed at all times).
• Ensure that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of children and young people are heard, understood and acted upon by all individuals and organisations.
• Following safeguarding assessments and reduce risk to keep children and young people (and others) safe
• Ensure that victims/survivors can access the health and other support services that they need.
• Support the work of the CYP ISVA Team, and the wider ISVA Team (Adult, LGBT, Sex Worker and Race and Equality ISVAs) which may include working within Umbrella sexual health settings and other appropriate services as required.
• Work closely with our Counselling and Wellbeing Services Teams.

Our Lay Worker will work in partnership with clergy and lay volunteers to meet the spiritual needs of older people in Colchester and the surrounding areas,  including those whose independence and/or social engagement are challenged, owing to their advancing years, by:

• Offering spiritual support to older people who are living at home, in care homes and sheltered housing complexes; their relatives; and staff who look after them.
• Promoting the spiritual welfare of older people at home, in the Church and in the wider community.

The role will include working with existing groups within the church and in the local community, in addition to identifying new opportunities for work and outreach.

The post is home based, travelling extensively across the area.

Hours are 20 per week, to be worked flexibly.

Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust is the largest LGBT+ youth service in Greater London. We have more than 550 members: around 350 12 – 18 year olds (young persons) and around 250 18 – 25 year olds (young adults) using one of our many services each year.

We believe that a good job, where you can earn a decent salary and where you can be yourself as well, can transform your life. So we are working on a series of actions which will increase the chances of our members to get such a job. 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the program end to end. It involves finding opportunities for our members to have work experience - that requires sales skill and tenacity.  It also involves supporting our member and the workplace mentor - that requires you to want to work helping people and providing advice and support. 

Mosaic Works provides work experience opportunities for our members. We place them in businesses being mentored by an LGBT+ employee in that workplace. We ensure that they are paid for their work.

We have found social action / volunteering programs also give an excellent start to the world of work and enhance a CV.

We also provide career advice, CV and interview preparation. Experience shows us that this is a great start to them moving on and more easily getting permanent employment.

As Business Development Manager you will run these programs end to end, in a full 360 sales role.  We will provide support to you to ensure you are successful. We have a sales plan which enables you to over achieve and increase your earnings.

As our Service Desk Support Coordinator, you’ll be the friendly face of IT support at the Royal College of Radiologists. You’ll be the first point of contact for our staff, Officers, Examiners, and remote users delivering support across IT and Audio-Visual systems. From troubleshooting tech issues and managing service requests to supporting high-stakes examinations and ensuring our meeting rooms run smoothly, you’ll play a vital role in our reputable team.

What you’ll do :

• Providing responsive, customer-focused support via Freshdesk, Teams, email, and in person.

• Assisting with onboarding, training, and documentation.
• Helping deliver seamless AV and video conferencing experiences.
• Supporting exams and events—sometimes outside regular hours.
• Collaborating with HR, Digital Products, and external tech partners.

What you’ll need :

• ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience in IT Service Management
• Hands-on experience with ticketing systems, Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A proactive, self-starting attitude and a love for learning
• A commitment to data protection, security, and sustainability

As Hospital Engagement Officer you will be the key link to the charity in our hospitals, meeting, motivating and inspiring patients, visitors and staff. Based primarily from the Charity Hub desk in the John Radcliffe Hospital, this varied and interesting role will make the most of your skills in customer care and building relationships. Whether you are speaking to new NHS staff at the weekly staff induction, inspiring visitors to fundraise for the charity or working with our incredible team of volunteers, you will enjoy proactively increasing the profile of Oxford Hospitals Charity across our hospitals.
