The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.

Situated in the Thames-side town of Erith, The Exchange is dedicated to creating opportunities for people to come together and celebrate life, craft, and community. Ideally located on the border of London and Kent, The Exchange is a perfect venue to attract guests, offering them something unique and memorable in intimate and unique surroundings. Our aspiration is to develop a craft focused venue hire programme, where every detail has been carefully thought through, leading to unique and inspirational experiences – this will be the role of the new Venue Hire Manager.

Principle Duties:

• Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
• Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
• Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
• Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
• Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
• Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
• Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
• Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
• Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
• Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
• Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
• Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education.  In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. This includes provision of nutritious school meals, school uniforms and shoes, learning equipment and feminine hygiene products.  We also support initiatives focused on the empowerment of the wider family unit of each supported child, such as providing workshops on parenting skills, sustainable food production, nutrition, entrepreneurship, and business skills. To further support this, we work with our partners on infrastructure development projects which have the potential to transform the local community and deliver increased self-sufficiency and sustainability.

The charity is seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager to support the programme of work.  The successful candidate will be one of only two paid employees, working with the Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development. 

Job Description

Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.

Contract: Permanent / Part Time (30 hours per week)
This role is envisaged as permanent part time for 30 hours per week over a minimum of four days. However there is some flexibility in this, and consideration will be given to applicants either looking for a full time role or who can offer a minimum of 24 hours over 3 days per week. This can be discussed at interview.   

Location:The role is currently based at the Stoke Mandeville office, but this environment is shared with another charity and is not always conducive to office working. There will therefore be the opportunity for a significant element of home-based work as appropriate.

Reporting to: Board Chair. Working closely with: Chair of Fundraising Committee (Trustee position), wider Trustee team, Trust Fundraising Manager, and Kenya partner projects

Role purpose:

To manage the UK Office activities and support Trustees in administrative tasks relating to Fundraising, Finance and Operational matters.

Key work areas and tasks:

a) To provide high quality administrative support to key functional areas such as Fundraising, Finance and Operations, ensuring that UK processes are fit for purpose to support the long-term goals of the charity.

b) To ensure the effective day-to-day running of the Karibuni Children Office, based in Stoke Mandeville, Bucks.

c) To oversee management of the new Salesforce donor database, and other IT systems (Microsoft & Google) in use by Karibuni Children and to ensure that the systems provide effective support to all functions of the charity.

d) To oversee the management of the charity website and social media channels, maximising the effectiveness of these channels to raise awareness of charity activities and raise donor funds.

e) To participate in the recruitment of volunteers

f) To promote and actively support Karibuni Children’s fundraising activities and events, taking the lead in the organisation of agreed major events.

g) To provide effective support to Trustees, Staff and Volunteers in all areas of the organisation’s activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Unless otherwise stated, the term "staff" will include any paid staff and volunteers. Following are the key tasks that the successful candidate will be expected to perform:

Administration & Operations

● Develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems

● Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines with regard to staff, equipment and premises

● Provide support to all IT (Microsoft & Google) and CRM (Salesforce) users and ensure data integrity and reconciliation to other systems

● Maintain staff records and contact lists, ensure good HR policies and practices are maintained.

● Create and maintain an asset register for all Karibuni owned items

● Assist the Governance and Risk sub-committee in any matters relating to Karibuni Children risk management

 Finance

● Assist the Finance and Operations sub-committee in any matters relating to Karibuni Children finances

● Carry out bookkeeping activities, creating banking schedules and ensuring that all cash and cheques received are banked within agreed timescales

● Oversee Gift Aid claims and ensure that compliance with regulations is maintained

● Assist volunteer Treasurer with preparation of management accounts as necessary

● Maintain records for restricted and designated funds, reconcile Charity Gifts income and other income sources.

 Fundraising

● Ensure postings to CRM are accurate and reconcile to financial systems

● Manage receipts from online sites and ensure that CRM system is updated accordingly

● Ensure that all donations are appropriately acknowledged

● Organise and manage Karibuni’s own-organised fundraising events, marketing events on internal and external platforms, registering participants, overseeing risk assessments, and maintaining related records.

● Provide a focal point for 3rd party fundraising events, ensuring proper communication and recording
(Pending the ongoing automation of some of these processes, there is the option for them to be delegated to a part time bookkeeper)

 Marketing & Communications

● Make updates to the charity website and social media channels

● Design and publish the bi-annual print and email newsletter including writing and collating stories and images.

● Write and publish regular email communications to supporters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Eclipse is looking for a competent, organised and experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join the organisation during a period of transition.  The Finance and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the finance support service for the organisation together with operational support for Governance, Admin & HR.

This is an opportunity to play a vital role in the organisation as it develops and instigates an exciting and ambitious new set of plans over the next six months.  You will be working directly with senior leaders and trustees, and line-manage an Administrator utilising strong financial and administrative skills to manage the charity’s finances and day to day operations.

Purpose of the Post

• To Provide financial leadership and to be accountable for financial reporting to the leadership team, Board, and stakeholders.
• To be responsible for effective management of the day-to-day office administration, and HR processes.

The Finance and Operations Manager is a key relationship for internal staff and suppliers as well as fielding enquiries from artists, partners and the general public.

Terms and Conditions

Location: Working from home with some working from company office in Leeds with reasonable notice

Role responsibilities
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for:

Finance

• Preparation, monitoring, and control of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provision of clear and timely management accounts to the senior team and Board of Trustees.
• Administration of the company’s financial systems through day-to-day bookkeeping including data entry, management of petty cash, processing of invoices and bank reconciliation.
• Liaising with the external payroll provider and payment of monthly salaries.
• Overseeing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and management of the annual independent examination.
• Supporting in the delivery of an annual report or funder reports as needed, including Arts Council England NPO reporting requirements and quarterly payment conditions. 

Governance

• Leading on the arrangements for Board Meetings and Away Days: minute taking, writing and circulating agenda and documentation, post-meeting minutes and communicating with the Trustees pre-meeting on location, time and attendance.
• Regularly reviews the company’s policy making – ensuring the company maintains and abides by its policies e.g. Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Environmental and Staff Handbook.

Administration & HR

• Day to day responsibility for managing the HR function of the company.

Delphside Limited is entering an exciting phase of change, but is mindful of the challenges the mental health care and charity sector as a whole is facing.

Main Responsibilities :

Key duties will include;

Recruiting volunteers through a variety of job boards, community pages and platforms.

Arranging and carrying out interviews with potential volunteers to assess the value and contribution they could offer the charity.

Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).

Inter Mediate

Inter Mediate (IM) is a unique and discreet London-based peacemaking organisation established in 2011 to support behind-the-scenes peace negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the senior management team of a small high-impact organisation working at the leading edge of international peacemaking.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO and working closely with the CEO and the Financial Director, the Operations Director will lead Inter Mediate’s institutional, Human Resources and project-support systems to keep the organisation running smoothly and ensure we are equipped to deliver the best results.

A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with senior management experience in operations, preferably for a non-profit organisation. You will be familiar with the fast and sometimes unpredictable pace of an international operating environment, and confident in handling challenges as they arise. You will be comfortable working collaboratively within a small team and engaging credibly with a wide range of people from senior government officials to project interlocutors in the field.

Key Responsibilities

A) Governance and Institutional Compliance (with the Deputy CEO and senior management)

• Lead the development and implementation of IM’s operational planning, in coordination with the CEO, Deputy CEO, Finance Director, staff, Trustees and supporters.
• Ensure that Inter Mediate complies with its charitable and legal obligations.
• Prepare, attend and minute Trustee and Committee meetings.
• Develop and implement quality improvement process for institutional policies and project delivery to keep Inter Mediate ethical, efficient and delivering value for money.
• Source, manage and review all professional services and suppliers engaged by Inter Mediate including banking, legal advice, accounting and auditing.

B) Human Resources and Office Operations

• Oversee Inter Mediate’s recruitment process and work with the Deputy CEO to ensure that we have fair procedures for benefits, training, probation, diversity and inclusion, gender pay gap, safeguarding, grievance and disciplinary matters.
• Oversee the contracting and on-boarding for new staff, consultants and trustees.
• Manage day-to-day HR functions and queries, including leave recording systems.
• Conduct staff remuneration and salary benchmarking exercises with the Deputy CEO.
• Update and maintain the employment handbook policies and procedures.
• Oversee office operations, equipment and facilities management.

C) IT, Security and Risk Management

• Ensure that the IT and communications systems are optimally configured for effectiveness and security, and that staff can operate them as necessary.
• Ensure Inter Mediate has robust risk mitigation systems and training for staff.
• Ensure Risk Assessments and security plans are completed by staff prior to staff travel.
• Ensure Inter Mediate has a viable business continuity plan.
• Maintain and review the Risk Register for the organisation with the Deputy CEO.

D) Financial Management (with the Finance Director)

• Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure that operational and financial planning processes and decisions are mutually informed and fully aligned.
• Strategise with the Finance Director and Deputy CEO to ensure all wings of the organisation work together to advance the best interest of the institution, its staff, projects and donors.

Experience, qualifications and skills:

• At least 8 years experience leading charity operations at a senior level spanning institutional compliance, Human Resources, IT, security and project support services, ideally in the non-profit sector.
• Track record of excellent business decisions for institutions under UK charity law operating in an international, multi-donor environment.
• Extensive experience of supporting Boards and Board committees at a senior level in a non-profit context.
• Some knowledge of project support mechanisms required for smooth delivery of peacebuilding, humanitarian, human rights or political projects in high-risk environments.

• Evidence of ability to both lead and service a complex network of external relationships.

• Graduate with a relevant degree and, preferably with relevant post graduate qualifications or relevant experience.

Working at Inter Mediate

A normal working week consists of 35 hours (or pro rata for part-time). Our office operates between 8am and 6.30pm with core hours from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Inter Mediate operates a hybrid working model, with at least 2 set days per week in the office in London.

Burnham and Weston Energy CIC is looking for a programme manager to nurture and grow our energy advice service.

The service is delivered by a small team of trained Home Energy Advisors who visit people in their homes to provide advice on how they can save money on their bills and make their homes warmer and healthier to live in. They also install small energy efficiency measures such as LED lights, draft proofing and radiator reflectors. Households are then referred on to further support to help them access welfare payments and grant funding for home upgrades including insulation, boiler replacement and energy efficient appliances. 

The current team of 2 Home Energy Advisors have capacity to deliver around 700 home visits per year. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations. We employ a Programme Co-ordinator to manage and generate home visit referrals and bookings, provide follow up support, and manage events and communications.

From this foundation, our growth objectives for the Home Energy Savings service are to:

• Continue to raise awareness of the service amongst local organisations and the public, and increase the number of referrals and vulnerable householders who benefit.
• Grow the team of Home Energy Advisors as demand requires, to at least double the team by the end of 2025.
• Secure additional funding to support the service.
• Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households, including unlocking funding and support for energy efficiency retrofit.

Role responsibilities

• ​Manage, mentor and support our team of Home Energy Advisors and the Programme Co-ordinator, and oversee its growth.

• Responsible for team safeguarding, H&S, mental health, team building, mentoring and training;

• Manage the delivery of our Home Energy Saving Service across North Somerset and the former districts of Sedgemoor and West Somerset and Taunton, seeking opportunities to strengthen and grow the service.
• Manage the delivery of grant funder requirements including ensuring KPIs are met, budgets managed and reports provided.
• Manage the delivery of our referral partnership contract with LEAP AgilityEco including ensuring KPIs and contractual requirement are met and that households referred to LEAP receive the best possible support.
• To secure and manage further funding partnerships (such as Redress or MCS funding),
• Responsible for ensuring company policies relating to the advice programme are kept up to date and consistent with requirements or partners. Responsible for ensuring working practice is in accordance with our policies and that risk assessments and management plans are in place and adhered to.
• Manage relationships with organisations referring households to the energy support programme and receiving onward referrals from us.
• Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households.
• Develop our CRM and IT systems.
• Represent Burnham & Weston Energy at local events and forums, nurture and grow our networks and relationships with local stakeholders and deliver our comms via the website and social media channels.

Essential requiremnts:

• Experience of leading and managing home visit teams including safeguarding, H&S, mental health, risk assessment and management, team building, mentoring and training. Experience of managing front line service teams is more important to us than energy advice experience. We can organise mentoring support from other community energy enterprises who have developed and scaled up local energy advice services.  
• Experience of overseeing complex case work.
• Experience of grant programme and service contract management including management of budgets, KPI delivery, reporting and meeting funder requirements.
• Experience of securing grant and service contract funding including applications, contract negotiation and ensuring funding requirements are in place.
• Committed to and rooted in the communities we serve: Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge, Mark, Winscombe and the surrounding rural areas.
• Understand the local public, community and private sector landscape and be well networked.

Spectra are looking for an experienced Therapeutic Services Manager and Clinical Lead to lead, develop, coordinate, and represent Spectra’s counselling services internally and externally at Senior Management level. You will ensure delivery of consistent, high-quality counselling across all of Spectra’s teams (Young People, Sexual health, Trans and Non-binary (TNB) people), supporting and empowering our service users, whilst ensuring clinical work is carried out in accordance with BACP ethical guidelines and Spectra’s protocols.  You will also conduct some clinical assessments and provide some weekly 1-to-1 counselling/group therapy sessions.

You will be confident working with diverse and intersectional groups who face social exclusion and inequalities around access to appropriate health care, wellbeing and holistic support. You will be able unequivocally to respect, support, promote and work within LGBTQ+ and other diverse communities.

£40,000 - £44,000 FTE per annum according to experience, pro rata for 4 days per week (£32,000 to £35,200). Hybrid working (office in Ladbroke Grove) with 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata), plus a pension scheme.
