As the Community Shop and Online Manager for our flagship store in Mere Green you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have great commercial skills, an understanding of how online selling works and why customer service is key and want to be part of a successful team. To manage and develop the b inspired Neighbourhood Support Service in Braunstone, ensuring that business plan targets are achieved and positive community impact is delivered.
Responsible for operational management of the staff team, volunteers and site. Oversee and develop partnership working arrangements with other agencies and providers, to enhance the offer to local residents. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Staff Management:

2. Provide day-to-day management and supervision of service-based Co-ordinaters and other support staff, ensuring business plan targets are achieved.
3. Recruit, select, train (product, systems and procedures), coach, motivate, supervise and appraise staff in order to meet the Neighbourhood Support Business Plan targets.
4. Analyse the training needs of staff, identifying skill sets and the need for development where appropriate. Work with the HR Officer to ensure training is relevant and conducted in a structured manner as part of a personal development plan.
5. Plan and arrange staff work patterns, in conjunction with Service Co-ordinators, ensuring that annual leave and flexi-leave arrangements meet the needs of the service.
6. Ensure that team members maintain accurate, comprehensive and current records via the company management information system
7. Lead the development of a robust Volunteer Strategy.
Direct Services & Project Management:
8. Plan new projects in collaboration with senior management.
9. Source and respond to funding opportunities (grants, donations, contracts) – completing applications and tenders with associated budgets.
10. Create work plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully deliver and complete projects.
11. Control projects and write reports for management and for funders
12. Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.
13. Prepare financial, monitoring and evaluation reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.
14. Ensure that maintenance schedules for the neighbourhood Support Base are adhered to and that an efficient and cost effective method of repair and replacement is in place, to keep the housekeeping standards at a high level.
15. Supported by the Head of Operations, maintain operational policies and procedures and ensure that day to day health and safety standards are maintained in line with legislation.
Financial Management:
16. Ensure that the Neighbourhood Support Service and associated projects remains cost effective by ensuring expenditure is contained within agreed budgets. Tracking expenditure and reducing or eliminating unnecessary costs while maintaining quality.
17. Ensure Service Co-ordinaters fully understand and adopt financial systems and that adequate records are in place to exercise budgetary control.
18. Regularly report progress against the Business Plan targets and budgetary information to the Chief Officer for reporting through to the Board.
19. Supported by Head of Operations, create annual budgets and Business Plans for the service and projects in line with the company planning cycles.
Neighbourhood Development & Resident Engagement:
20. Promote and develop good relationships with local service providers and delivery partners - helping them to be responsive and sensitive to local needs.
21. Oversee the maintenance and promotion of the Braunstone Neighbourhood Management Board.
22. Co-ordinate and organise local surveys and consultations in the Braunstone area and collate/ analyse the findings for dissemination.
23. Oversee the creation of the bi-annual Braunstone Neighbourhood Action Plan.
General Duties:
24. Carry out work in such a way as to promote the Company’s wider aims, objectives and agreed policies.

Caseworker
Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.
This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.

Role Overview:
For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.
The successful applicant will be providing activities and support to clients within a formal contractual framework working to challenging targets.The role holder will need a strong beneficiary focus and the ability to rapidly form relationships with partners and local agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with partners to identify and engage veterans with the CFO Programme.
- Undertake needs assessments with each veteran and jointly develop their support plan.

- Ensure that all activity is recorded on the MOJ CATs system, or other system as required by the contract.
- Deliver any further activities reasonably required by the Op Nova National Manager or CFO Contract Manager, the Nova National Manager and the Forces Employment Charity.

- Understanding, empathy and knowledge of ex-forces personnel and the challenges they may face.
- Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely from their line manager.

1. Background and Purpose
The Deputy Director works in close partnership with the Executive Director (ED) to enhance the work of the small, dynamic secretariat team to create more momentum across its network. This new role will be instrumental in delivering on the strategic objectives and securing sustainable funding through its continued evolution. The person will be responsible for connecting the various programmatic areas of work quality assurance and impact, capacity support and its new country level work. They will guide planning processes to be able to track and analyse our impact. 2. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Guide and facilitate the team’s delivery of the CHS Alliance strategy:
· Work with the ED on delivering the strategy to position CHS Alliance as a network driving system change for greater accountability to people in crisis, creating relationships within teams and externally to influence change across the global humanitarian sector.
· Develop processes to support the team track progress on how we are meeting our objectives so they can be clearly communicated and analysed to continue to deliver on the ambitions of the Alliance’s strategy.
· Facilitate a strong culture of organisational collaboration to achieve goals and objectives; developing a framework that support the team’s cohesion in delivering the goals of the organisation to create greater impact.
· Provide oversight of the funding needs and priorities and support strong proposal development and compliance with donor funding and guide decisions on how to allocate and manage resources.
· Work closely with the ED, to establish and execute a fundraising plan to achieve the strategy and workplan of the CHS Alliance, including donor intelligence.
· Provide support to ensure staff can complete their responsibilities to their highest potential.
· Initiate programmes and activities that are resourced and effective and efficient as possible.
External partnerships & donor engagement:
· Stay abreast of emerging trends in the volatile context of humanitarian action and provide strategic thought leadership on the dynamic and shifting priorities and what it means for the Alliance network.
· Work closely with the ED to create a strong donor advocacy and engagement plan that goes beyond fundraising to work with donors as drivers of accountability.
· In coordination with the rest of the Alliance team, engage with external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships contributing to the CHS Alliance strategic objectives.
· Work closely across the teams to keep abreast of the Alliance members’ needs to meet the CHS commitments.

- You’ll manage the delivery of our Independent Living Skills programmes across our sites, looking to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard

The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join our warm and friendly charity team on a full-time basis for a period of one year, with the possibility of a part-time position thereafter. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive greater funding to expand our reach. The nature of the job responsibilities may require occasional flexible hours, including some evening and weekend hours up to 6 times per year, or adjusted beginning and ending times, for example to support with monthly evening training sessions.
Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. Dose of Nature is a fun, supportive and lively organisation that encourages creativity and independence, as well as a strong sense of working together as a team.
The role is 37.5 hours per week and will involve working at Pensford Field, Kew, Monday to Wednesday from 9am-5:30pm and from home Thursday and Friday 9-5:30pm.

Key responsibilities and duties
• To oversee the smooth running of the studio and field, ensuring Dose of Nature’s operational systems, processes and policies are fit-for-purpose, compliant with current legal requirements and are maintained effectively and efficiently.
• To be the initial point of contact for all enquiries, responding quickly and efficiently to requests for information and other enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, volunteer guides and trustees, health professionals, supporters, media, and academic institutions.
• To be the main point of contact for volunteer guides; leading all aspects of the recruitment and induction process with the support from our Senior Administrator; and providing guidance and support to existing guides – including management of the on-going training programme.

• To manage communication and marketing materials, including maintenance of website, developing and updating printed materials including promotional leaflets, training booklets, and weekly timetable communication emails and bi-annual newsletters. • To lead community relationship building for Dose of Nature, to include attending promotional and networking events from time to time.
• To assist the Chief Executive in the implementation and continued development of the Growth Strategy, including providing regular updates to trustees.
