About Us:
Combat Stress is the UK's leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we've been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Planned Giving Officer to join our growing award winning team. We are responsible for both legacy fundraising and administration as well as in memory giving. This is a real growth area in the fundraising team and one you will be an integral part of.
You will be working with the Head of Planned Giving and the Senior Planned Giving Officer. This role will involve a certain amount of administration, complying with Charity Commission Guidelines. Also you will be helping with supporter enquiries and interactions so must be comfortable talking with supporters. This is an exciting role as you will be part of the team which ensures supporters are aware of how vital gifts in Wills are as well as sharing the work of Combat Stress.

You will be excited about the opportunity and will have a 'can do' attitude. You will be happy taking the initiative to ensure tasks are completed. To help us work towards our plans for embedding participation, we're looking for someone to join our Engagement and Inclusion Team to work with the communities we aim to serve, with a focus on those who are underrepresented within Lancashire Mind services. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within communities and knowledge of the barriers that people face to achieving mental wellbeing and accessing services. The focus of the role will be to ensure that more people with lived experience of poor mental health know who Lancashire Mind are, what we do and how they can influence our work. You'll work with the Community Engagement Projects Lead to create a range of opportunities for people to participate, including establishing formal structures, for example a lived experience panel and youth advisory group, which you'll design with the people who want to get involved. You'll work with colleagues across all teams to ensure opportunities to influence Lancashire Mind's work are promoted to everyone who uses our services.

Crucially, you’ll be responsible for building effective working partnerships with professional services through the delivery of presentations, networking and creating new referral pathways. Your role will be integral in making the service accessible, by embedding support for gambling related harm across communities in Greater London.
Working hours are usually 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however, to meet the needs of the service the role might include some evenings and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Participation in service promotion, networking activities and events to support visibility and ongoing development of the service
- Development and maintenance of relationships with local services and communities, providing information to support identification of gambling harms and pathways into service
- Development of collaborative working relationships with external agencies, professionals, and groups, and delivering presentations on gambling harms and how to support people to access the service

Culturally Responsive Independent Sexual Violence Advocate
West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) is looking for an individual who has experience of the sexual violence sector or an aligned field and a knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impacts.
You will be part of a supportive team that brings together all the skills that WMRSASC has to support survivors of sexual violence
- The Culturally Responsive Independent Sexual Violence Advocate will have a caseload, which will include supporting survivors from Minority Ethnic communities.
- This post aims to identify clients from Minority Ethnic communities who do not access the Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy service, identify barriers to them seeking support, and find innovative ways to overcome those barriers, so that they feel able to access the service if they wish.
- The role will aim to promote self-referrals and to reach out to Minority Ethnic communities. Making sure that the role meets the diverse needs of the communities.
- The role will raise the profile of and promote the Specialist Minority Ethnic Service across statutory and voluntary agencies, and establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with partner agencies to create straightforward referral pathways for clients from Minority Ethnic communities.

The Early Intervention and Prevention team within West Mercia Rape and Sexual Assault Support Centre provide assessment, psychosocial education and time limited non-criminal justice advocacy to support the needs of children and young people who have experienced sexual harm or exploitation or who have caused sexual harm to others.
We are looking for two new team members to join us in this critical work in preventing ongoing sexual harm.
