Overview:
The role of is a senior position within the Young Lewisham Project. The role is responsible for the workshop staff, young people and project management of the referral groups and activities. Managing staff, maintaining participant’s records and ensuring all administration required for OCN and other qualifications are kept up to date and in order.
Accountability
The post is accountable to the Managing Director.
Purpose
The purpose of this post is to provide leadership and management of the Young Lewisham Project workshops to achieve the operational goals of the project.
To be responsible for the achievement of project goals, measurable outcomes and outputs.
To continually develop and improve the Young Lewisham Project’s offerings.
Oversee and improve attendance
Principal Duties
To oversee the delivery of Young Lewisham Project programmes and activities.
To provide supervision and support to workshop project staff and volunteers to ensure co-ordination and effective team work within Young Lewisham and individual projects/groups.
To actively promote the services of the project through appropriate channels and on appropriate platforms.
To co-ordinate and facilitate good relationships with partners and attend multi agency meetings where necessary.
To have some oversight of IT system Monday and the collection and analysis of performance data, producing management information and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
To act as one of 3 designated safeguarding leads and attend all training to ensure current compliance.
Support young people with SEN
Support tutors to work with young people with challenging behaviour
Specific Duties Management
To plan and facilitate team meetings, multi-agency meetings, consultation and co-operative working with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
To manage the risk and safety of young people, service users and be responsible for their care whilst they engage with Young Lewisham Project along with other management team.
To ensure that Health and Safety processes and policies are followed and that risk assessments are in place, up to date and complied with.
Manage workshop equipment - service, maintenance, repair and replacement
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and policy in areas of education and youth work.
Oversee risk assessments and health and safety of workshops
Specific Duties Human Resources
Responsible for the supervision and management of workshop staff and volunteers involved in specific groups / projects within Young Lewisham.
Involvement in the recruitment and induction of new staff or volunteers involved in specific groups / projects within Young Lewisham.
Specific Duties pertaining to individual Groups and Projects
Responsible for workshop and tutor spending according to specific project budget and Young Lewisham finance policy and any funding agreements in place.
To work in a multi-agency setting e.g. schools, Youth Services, specialist projects/agencies to maximise development and learning opportunities for young people.
To work in a multi-disciplinary way by: building and maintaining relationships with partners, sharing information in line with the Data Protection Act and Young Lewisham policies; attending relevant meetings as necessary
Monitoring and Reporting
Responsible for maintaining and developing systems of monitoring that can capture and analyse performance data to track progress of individual projects against outputs and outcomes
Responsible for producing timely and accurate reports for the Management Committee and external funders.
General
In carrying out the above role, the post holder will:
Be available to work unsociable hours when necessary (this may include some weekends and overnight stays).
Work with young people in accordance with the core values of mainstream education & youth work
Manage accident and incident reporting processes

The Rio Ferdinand Foundation are recruiting to 5 new roles for an exciting new cross-border PEACE Academy programme in Belfast and Sligo, funded by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)
The aim of this new three-year programme, is to deliver and evidence a PEACE Academy pathway of engagement, learning, social action and employability that will inspire young people from communities in Northern Ireland and Ireland to create shared experiences and build a long-term response to sectarianism, racism and hate on a cross community and cross border basis.
We are seeking an experienced administrative professional who can lead on the operational and back-office administration of this programme.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will:
§ Work with the Programme Manager to devise appropriate administrative processes to support the regional delivery teams together with senior management.
§ Work with our regional Coordinators on the administrative function of sessions and events i.e., booking and risk assessing suitable venues, disseminating promotional materials, booking travel arrangements, arranging refreshments for young people, equipment orders etc.
§ Work with our Training Officer on administrative function of workshops and training course delivery including course paperwork, learning materials and resources, venues, certificates distribution etc.
§ Work with our Finance Officer on the financial administration of the programme.
§ Organise and order any staff kit required from our approved suppliers.
§ Disseminating project materials as well as communications outputs circulating to the wider team and partners as required.
§ Attend partnership meetings to take minutes and follow up on any key actions.
§ Input to funder reports and attending meetings as and when required.

§ Degree level education or similar experience

§ Collate monthly invoices and expenditure receipts to share with the bookkeeping team ahead of monthly payment run deadlines.
§ Collate monthly timesheets, cross-reference for final sign off and send to payroll for processing ahead of the monthly deadline.
§ Ensure all programme expenditure is shared with the bookkeeping team for uploading to our accounting software Xero clearly marked to aid filing under the appropriate cost centre and category.
§ Oversee financial reporting and income draw down under the PEACE Academy programme.
§ Provide regular financial reports to the Programme Manager and Directors as required
§ Work with our Admin Officer on the financial administration of the programme.
Person Specification/Key skills:
§ Degree level education in finance/accounting or similar experience

§ Work with regional Coordinators and our Training Officer to ensure all monitoring data is captured and recorded against targets
§ Work with our regional Coordinators on the development of qualitative data capture e.g., case studies and feedback sessions/surveys alongside quantitative data capture tools.

In February 2025, the Church of England's legislative body, General Synod, voted on a motion brought by the Lead Bishop for Safeguarding on future structures for safeguarding in the Church of England.
This work was the culmination of a response by the Church of England to two reports published in 2024 about safeguarding structures and operations. The General Synod motion, as amended, sets the direction of travel for safeguarding structures and operations in the future.
The lead safeguarding bishop and her team are in the process of constituting a Programme Board, which will oversee two Project Boards delivering major workstreams:
- Scrutiny of Church Safeguarding
- Operational Delivery of Church Safeguarding
The day-to-day operation of delivering the work that General Synod has commissioned is the responsibility of the Safeguarding Structures Team. This team will deliver work to develop a scrutiny body which will scrutinise the Church of England's safeguarding activities, through the Project Board delivering Scrutiny of Church Safeguarding.
The Survivor Participation Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the work of the Safeguarding Structures Team, taking responsibility for enabling and supporting victims and survivors to participate in the work of the Safeguarding Structures programme.
The Safeguarding Structures programme includes:
- Setting up an external scrutiny body, which is likely to be on a statutory basis in order to give it "teeth" and so would require legislation
- Transfer of most functions currently delivered by the National Safeguarding Team (NST) - except policy development - to an external employer, eventually and after all development, consultation and legislative processes complete
- Further work to determine the legal and practical requirements necessary to implement model 4 which would involve the transfer of safeguarding teams in dioceses and cathedrals to the same external employer as the NST.
- A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
- 25 days annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus eight bank holidays and three additional days (pro-rated if working part-time).

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.

Netherton Feelgood Factory, a community-based healthy living centre, is offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people and the environment by taking forward the development of the Netherton Community Garden and Green Hub. We are looking for an imaginative and committed person with knowledge of horticulture but also with the people skills to support and help people from the local area.
The Netherton Community Garden started life in 2016 as a vision to develop a piece of waste urban land into a garden that could be enjoyed by the community and that also would produce fresh produce to promote health and awareness of growing skills.
Since then, and thanks latterly to a National Lottery grant, the garden has begun to develop as a Green Community Hub with the aim of enabling local people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. The garden has a positive impact on the local community by providing a meeting place, a venue for skills training and a place to promote positive mental and physical health.
The Co-ordinator will also work within the Feelgood Factory as a member of the Community team.

Job Purpose:
The co-ordination of the Netherton Community Garden to:
- promote its movement towards greater financial stability through encouraging income generation
- train, facilitate and manage volunteers and community groups to deliver projects in the Netherton Community Garden which support the Garden’s overall vision of promoting a greener local community.
In addition the postholder will operate within the Feelgood Factory as a member of the community team, facilitating at least one group aimed at socially isolated people.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Garden and maintenance
- To work closely with the Community Garden Steering Group and the staff of the Feelgood Factory to maintain the Community Garden, leading on overall scheduling for dedicated work and seasonal priorities
- To work closely with the Chief Executive in identifying and implementing moves towards making the Community Garden more financially sustainable.
- To oversee planting and re-planting areas throughout the year on an agreed schedule
- To oversee and undertake general garden maintenance, including weeding, hedge trimming, strimming and leaf blowing
- To ensure that tools are in good working order and deal with any defects immediately
Garden project facilitation
- To work with the Steering Group to develop the practical concept of the Community Garden and work with the local community to attract people into it.
- To lead on the development and subsequent delivery of garden based training and community programmes, within agreed budgets and schedules
- To ensure that volunteers are trained in the safe use of tools and equipment and supervise this where applicable
- To work with the Feelgood Factory and other local groups in recruiting local volunteers to be part of the project
- To work with the Steering Group and the Feelgood Factory to coordinate and deliver community growing days and garden-based events
- To work with the Feelgood Factory marketing team and other colleagues to ensure effective communication of the Community Garden
- To work with the Steering Group and the Feelgood Factory’s Fundraising team to undertake fundraising for the Netherton Community Garden, researching opportunities and providing materials for applications
Community work
- To work as part of the wider Feelgood Factory Community Team
- To facilitate at least one group within the Feelgood Factory aimed at alleviating social isolation
Health and safety
- To adhere to and be accountable for the health and safety procedures of the Community Garden
- To develop existing Feelgood Factory procedures and risk assessments to incorporate garden specific health and safety planning and/or risk assessments
- To ensure volunteers and visitors comply with legal and Feelgood Factory requirements

About the role:

Launched in 2024, Making Waves is our flagship one-to-one music-making programme designed for people at risk of offending or those leaving prison. Over 10 sessions, participants work with a professional producer in our private studio to create, record, and release their own music, building confidence and gaining new skills along the way. Alongside music-making, participants can also gain a King’s Trust qualification in Personal Development and Employability Skills, receive tailored mentoring from Trailblazers to support them into employment, and join our alumni programme for live performance opportunities, industry masterclasses, and ongoing support.
The Programme Coordinator is a new role within the Finding Rhythms team. Based on the success of the Making Waves programme over the last year, we now are in the process of expansion - with plans to increase delivery and engage more participants. The Programme Coordinator fulfills an essential role to support successful expansion of the programme whilst maintaining maximum impact for participants and partners.

REFERRALS AND ON-BOARDING
● Processing a high volume of referrals of participants onto the programme, in a time-effective manner, ensuring all essential information is gathered and recorded

● Responding to general enquiries about the programme and distributing relevant information
● Encouraging participants to attend including identifying issues and providing solutions

● Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and processed

OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATIONS
● Organising and attending outreach and taster sessions across multiple locations (some of which will take place in prisons)
