We are looking for an inspirational person to lead our established team of staff and volunteers, to springboard from the amazing foundations already in place and take Repton Community Trust on the next stage of its successful journey.

Our successful candidate will be highly motivated, passionate about working with communities and equally comfortable negotiating with senior stakeholders as rolling up their sleeves and running community events. They will have a proven track record in securing grant funding from a range of sources and managing the high-quality delivery of multiple grant funded programmes.

Who are Repton Community Trust

·Our thriving community centre has had more than 100,000 visitors since we opened in 2018.

·We opened Kent’s first community fridge in 2019.

·Our innovative Peoples Pantry and 24-hour food lockers supported thousands of people during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020/21.

·We opened our first community shop (social supermarket) in 2022.

·We expanded our services to include a mobile shop reaching rural communities in Ashford and Rural Rother in 2023.

·We rescue on average 0.75 tonnes of food per month in 2024.

We are looking to recruit a Community Development Officer in Stirling, to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region tailoring support, training, and education to create suicide safer communities.

What you will do:

Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.

Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training, and education.

Deliver training and awareness raising products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers, and other trainers.

Contribute to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the strategic plan.

Contribute to and promote campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans.

Represent the charity at events including conferences, panels, working groups and through media channels as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops, or educational activities.

A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience.

Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience.

Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme, or area of work.

The ability to travel to different locations across Scotland and the wider UK to attend meetings, events and deliver training.

Salary: £29,269 per annum (NALC SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (NALC SCP 23)

Hours: 36 hours per week Location: Stirling Office with regular travel across Scotland

Senior Project Officer, Active Travel

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Strategic Partnerships team, working in partnership with Scottish Borders Council to facilitate a strategic approach to active travel infrastructure development and delivery in the council area, as well as providing support with active travel policies and proposals for the council's planning and pipeline projects.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will be working in partnership with external organisations and across council departments to identify and develop opportunities for investment in active travel. This may involve conducting assist research to demonstrate demand for investment in active travel infrastructure.

This role will involve regular travel most weeks. The focus of this role will be across the Scottish Borders Council area. We may occasionally need you travel further during the course of your work including occasional visits to Sustrans Offices and overnights stays.

About you

You should have experience in (at least) one of the following: transport planning, land use planning, urban design, traffic engineering, sustainable transport project delivery. 

You will also be experienced in working with partners across various teams, and able to build strong working relationships.

You should have the ability to work independently and be able to make decisions with minimal supervision, as well as have excellent report writing skills.

The Café forms part of a central hub, housing a daytime café for the community and an after-school Youth Café that connects vulnerable young people to positive and inspiring role-models from their community, empowering and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community. This role is responsible for the daytime café and related income generating activities.

An initiative of the Matrix Trust, our café has built an excellent reputation, with the vision to provide a space for local people to retreat to, where they will find a friendly welcome and an opportunity to give back to the community. Key elements include: quality coffee, delicious healthy food, a calm but welcoming environment, and an eco-friendly, low waste ethos.

The Café is open 5 days a week, 8:30am to 3pm on Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

● Oversee the efficient daily operation of the café, ensuring high standards and excellent customer service.

● Engage customers, take and serve orders, and drive sales.

● Ensure all health & safety and food safety standards are met.

● Maintain a clean, welcoming, and friendly environment for customers.

● Manage stock levels, place supply orders, and handle cash management, including cashing up and reporting till adjustments.

● Develop and maintain a visually inviting space with up-to-date menus and quality food offerings.

● Implement and follow food rotation and waste management procedures to minimise waste and maximise margins.

● Utilise and develop methods that encourage repeat business.

● Secure the café at the end of the shift.

● Ensure all food and drinks served are of the highest quality.

● Achieve and maintain an excellent food standards rating.

● Liaising with the Head of Operations, oversee maintenance and repair of café equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.

Customer Service

Building and Event Management

● Liaise with the Head of Operations about any building maintenance issues.

● Manage café events, ensuring the team sets up the space as required and that the hirers are properly looked after.

● Be a proactive part of the wider Matrix team, getting involved in projects that benefit the mission of Matrix, such as fundraising activities or team projects.

This role will be responsible for developing and nurturing strategic partnerships with key LSE stakeholders and leading the successful and effective delivery of the LSESU Account Management Programme. We have an exciting opportunity for an Volunteer Coordinator to join our team covering Scotland. Your role will require you to oversee and run the volunteer programme, including recruitment and training of volunteers to support the delivery of contracts.  You will also be supporting the Operational Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbilitiy’s volunteer work in the area to meet the needs of the service and those that volunteer.

About you

Desirably you will have some experience of volunteering or, working with volunteers/ vulnerable people, or delivering advocacy.  You will have a knowledge of advocacy in health, social care and other settings and an understanding of the issues affecting adult social care, disability, autism, and mental health service users.

You should also understand safeguarding in relation to volunteering and the people we work with and the social values of volunteering and volunteer projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring that we select the best volunteers for our roles; ensuring that they receive appropriate training and development to ensure that we are delivering the service required by our clients.

Stonewall Housing is the delivery partner for the HouseProud Pledge Scheme, which aims to improve inclusion for LGBTQ+ social housing residents across the UK.

Joe Lyons was a caring son, brother, a wonderful friend and a talented, award-winning Radio Producer. Known as “Producer Joe”, he became Senior Producer of the Roman Kemp Breakfast Show at Capital Radio. Very sadly in August 2020 Joe passed away in totally unexpected circumstances at just 31 years of age.

During Joe’s life he brought a cheeky spirit and constant laughter to all those that met him. His selflessness and commitment to helping others touched so many, and in loving memory and as a legacy to Joe, his friends and family set up Joe's Buddy Line in January 2021.

We are now looking for a resilient, driven and inspirational individual to provide energy, strategic vision and operational management for our small and growing charity.

The successful candidate will bring a track record of effectively overseeing the day to day service delivery for a small charity, prudent financial management and an innovative approach to source and secure new opportunities for the Charity.

Key Responsibilities

National Growth

• Develop strategy for national growth and ensure effective delivery of strategy, with a focus on growing our work in unserved and developing regions of the UK and building a diverse range of church partners
• Engage with thinking around the intersection between social impact, employability and the church to ensure we are at the cutting edge within the sector, developing an understanding of local needs and challenges and how Resurgo can best inspire and equip partners to catalyse sustainable and impactful social change.
• Work with wider leadership team to understand and fine tune barriers to growth, including considering recruitment and operations support needed by partner churches, and funding avenues and the operation of the seed fund, which provides start-up funding to churches in the early years of launching a Spear centre.

Pipeline Development

• Identify, build, and develop relationships with potential partners through networking at Christian conferences and running our own events, identifying and introducing our work to key networks, and offering relevant coaching sessions as a means for churches to understand Resurgo’s coaching, employability and impact management.
• Introduce potential and existing partner churches to the Spear programme as a means of creating sustainable social impact in their community, particularly with young people, and provide opportunities for them to engage with the programme with a view to considering launching a centre in their own community where this is a good fit.
• Build a pipeline of potential Spear partners, and steward these relationships from the point of introduction, through to confirmation of programme launch, reporting to the Senior Leadership team against monthly KPIs and annual growth targets.
• Work closely with the Impact team and Director of External Relations to consider the ‘client’ journey of a church from point of initial interest to uptake of one of our programmes

New Centre Set-up and Implementation

• Oversee a team who project manage the launch of new Spear centres in partnership with local churches, including overseeing all
  practical and operational aspects of the centre setup, recruiting new coaches, and ensuring required policies and systems
  are in place.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK. You will assist the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers in their operational work on the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Officers to support in liaising with FareShare food suppliers, transport partners and our Regional Centres in order to distribute food to our beneficiaries. The provision of excellent operational support and customer service is central to this role. It is essential that you are passionate about our vision, ensuring that no good food goes to waste. We are looking for organised people who are good at multi-tasking and problem solving. Your time management skills will be exceptional and you will be comfortable working under pressure.

Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Assist in capturing key account information in our CRM system

Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres

 Logistics and transport

• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and analysis

• Analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues

Team coordination and representation

• Support the Team providing assistance and cover when required e.g. during busy periods, annual leave and sickness to ensure an even spread of work across the team
• Support the training of new team members
• Keep team process instructions up to date

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• An understanding of food insecurity and sustainability issues, and passion for the mission and values of FareShare
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Evidenced problem solving ability
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organisation skills – able to prioritise with competence managing ongoing projects alongside reactive daily tasks
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and Word
• Self-starter, ability to work within clearly defined and agreed parameters with limited supervision

 Desirable

• Salesforce or similar CRM system experience
• Experience of working as part of a project team with some responsibility for delivery of a project
• Experience of working in a fast paced and pressured operations role
• Experience of working in a customer service environment

The Director of Corporate Partnerships will lead the development of strategic corporate partnerships with key organisations in priority sectors, generating significant income for Kew, influencing and supporting the implementation of nature positive strategies across the business sector and helping to facilitate business voices in influencing key audiences. The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Senior MEL and Reporting Specialist to join our Breathe Cities Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

Under the supervision of the Breathe Cities MEL Manager and working closely with the Funder Relations Specialist, the role tracks programme performance, coordinates processes for donor reporting, generates learning and embeds evidence from Breathe Cities. This role ensures the MEL system drives maximum impact for the Breathe Cities Programme, and provides high quality and timely updates are provided to donors on this impact.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrable experience synthesizing learning from large volumes of data and communicating this in a clear and structured manner. 
• Demonstrable experience writing externally-facing reports. 
• Demonstrable experience in designing, managing and leading on the coordination of data collection, quality assurance, analysis and reporting processes and systems.
• Skilled communicator, especially in written form.   
• Experience in implementation of MEL frameworks (including Theories of Change and results frameworks) for large international projects and programmes. 
• Adept at managing projects, highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines to meet agreed objectives.   
• Strong data analysis skills and experience, specifically in MS Excel.
