As part of this role you will be responsible for developing a service for young people predominately across a selection of secondary schools and in the community. You’ll be part of a team that is developing relationships with young people and staff within schools, the community and across the partnership with the aim of improving the mental health of young people.

Base: Manchester Mind CYP Service / predominately working across schools and in the community / home-based as required
Reporting to: Manchester Mind CYP Service Manager
The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:
- A relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Counselling, or Youth & Community Work (at graduate level).
- At least two years’ experience of working with young people aged 11-18.
- Experience in providing effective individual support to young people who are under stress/have mental health difficulties.
- Awareness of the impact of mental health on the lives of young people.
- Experience of delivering psycho-social support to young people with learning disabilities. (DESIRABLE)

About you

We’re looking for a capable and caring person to join Lancashire Mind’s existing Housing Team. Under the direction of the Housing Operations Lead, you will manage a caseload of tenants with enduring mental health conditions living in properties that are managed by Lancashire Mind.
Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.
You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants.
You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.
Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

In this role you will support adults living with mental health difficulties by providing trauma informed relational peer support, nurturing relationships which are mutual, explorative and share power, helping people to overcome the distress they experience and achieve the goals which are important to them.
You will be responsible for a case load of individuals who you will support either face-to-face or via telephone, on a one-to-one or group basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care.
Due to the nature of the role, it requires applicants to have personal experience of mental distress to meet the job requirements.
You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. You will also be involved in the on-going development of Peer Support Worker practice across the Service, including things such as training programmes and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, accepting referrals from the MDT for individuals who are identified as benefiting from support. Managing and prioritising your caseload, in accordance with the needs, priorities and any urgent support required.
·Engage empathically with visitors in distress, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, predominantly face to face but occasionally via telephone.
· Co-create personalised support plans alongside individuals, exploring their health and wellbeing needs, to support them to navigate their experiences of distress.
· Manage client data appropriately, ensuring records are accurately kept in line with our policies and procedures.
·Work closely with the VCSE Service Coordinator to support the development of the service across the project.
Supporting Clients
· To establish supportive and respectful relationships with people using the LW service, informed by trauma informed practice and recovery orientated approaches.
·To support those people using the LW service to identify their strengths, personal interests, and goals, drawing on your mutual resources as peers and utilising a range of recovery tools, techniques, and experiences.
To share own personal experiences with those you support when therapeutically appropriate.
· To support people using the LW service to identify and overcome fears and within a relationship of empathy, trust and honesty, challenge negative self-talk and self-stigmatisation
·use own initiative, personal experience, and job-related training in deciding on the approach and interventions required when supporting individuals assigned to you.
Service Delivery
· To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contribute to team meetings and MDT meetings to ensure continuity of care for people and to ensure their safety.
· To work with colleagues to develop and facilitate therapeutic groupwork.
· To liaise with carers, other health professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies to enable the recovery needs of people using the service.
·To raise awareness of recovery language with all staff/partners by modelling positive strengths based, non-discriminatory, non-jargon, trauma informed language in all areas of work.
·To support other members of the multi-disciplinary team in promoting a recovery orientated environment and in identifying recovery focused activities facilitating the sharing of information/education as required.
· Provide referral partners with timely updates about the support provide to ensure the support and care individuals receive is delivered collaboratively and well-coordinated.
· To comply with all training requirements aligned to this role including mandatory training. To actively identify training needs and be prepared to engage in any other training/development opportunities relevant to this role.

Service Development
· Support the VCSE Service Lead with the delivery of the VCSE service as a whole, contributing to its ongoing improvement and development.
· Assist management in preparing quarterly monitoring reports outlining progress of the work, assessment of the project impact and outcomes, and key issues raised by members and other stakeholders.

Liverpool SHS is a mental health, 12 hour supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, tenancy support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will be renamed to reflect the new organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Grants Writer and Coordinator to lead on expanding income from a sustainable portfolio of trusts and foundations. The post holder will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to significantly increase our restricted and unrestricted income, aiming to surpass £500,000 this year. This role involves coordinating a diverse portfolio of high-value trusts, foundations, and grant-makers, including the National Lottery, Children in Need, and other major grant schemes, charitable trusts, and foundations.
We are looking for a skilled bid writer with extensive project management experience to transform our core and project work into compelling fundraising propositions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a proven track record in high-value fundraising from trusts and foundations or a similar field. The Grants & Trusts Coordinator will cultivate and maintain key relationships with funders capable of contributing four to six-figure sums.
The key tasks for this role include working closely with the CEO to develop a plan for multi-year income growth from grant funding, aligned with the Charity’s strategic objectives and income targets. The role requires developing the strategic direction for grants and trusts funding, ensuring a pipeline of high-value bids and a sustainable income stream. You will identify, engage, cultivate, and coordinate a portfolio of high-value trust and foundation supporters, providing effective relationship management alongside the CEO.
Securing both restricted and unrestricted income for Platform for Life involves initiating, managing, and developing a comprehensive programme of applications to a wide range of funding sources. You will identify funders that align with the work carried out by Platform for Life, and collaborate with the CEO, colleagues and trustees to produce high quality, innovative bids, ensuring the strongest possible application is submitted. You will then coordinate and create the funding, mid-term and completion reports for funders.

We Are Survivors are currently looking for an individual that has the passion, drive and determination to help us deliver our OUT Spoken Talking Therapy Services in our Greater Manchester and Merseyside estates (on a part-time basis) – As we continue to provide services in prisons across the Northwest.
For nearly 16 years, We Are Survivors has provided survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male (including Trans and Non-binary) victims/survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a ‘trauma and recovery’ framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.
We are currently commissioned to deliver trauma-informed therapy services in 15 prisons across the Northwest of England and are looking for motivated and skilled practitioners to work in a fascinating, vital, and sometimes challenging environment.
Believe you are right for this role?
You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.
In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £27,810; 25 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days) plus bank holidays; birthday leave; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; a range of training opportunities; and access to different benefit schemes.
