The new role of Philanthropy Manager is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, fundraising-savvy candidate to help Fauna & Flora achieve its ambitious fundraising goals. Job Summary
Taking a leading role as part of the Individual Giving management team, you play an important part in helping to achieve a step change in the growth of the net voluntary income of St John. The role will work closely across Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising Directorate to develop an evolving supporter acquisition strategy that will aim to recruit new supporters with a focus on digital. The role needs to focus on managing the implementation of the strategy including using insight and data to develop, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate campaigns across a range of channels, with a cutting edge and contemporary approach whilst staying current with the continuously changing legislation and support climate. Responsibilities include working with agencies and suppliers to project manage the full cycle of direct marketing campaigns.
About You
- Significant experience in a third sector direct marketing role
- Track record in managing effective digital campaigns on a national or regional basis
- Experience of using fundraising databases e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Extensive experience of using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email social media, direct mail, telemarketing and SMS
- Experience of leading a revenue generating team, including generation of six figure acquisition income
About the Role
- Oversee the supporter acquisition programme, taking responsibility for outstanding donor recruitment with the highest standard of quality and compliance and ensuring a diverse programme mix; ensuring they are in market on time, on budget and on brand.
- Develop an annual plan of acquisition activity; monitoring and analysing all campaign results, with ongoing test and learn mechanisms in place to drive continuous improvement and making recommendations for future activity to effectively maximise income and ROI
- Working collaboratively with key fundraising and data teams; lead the development and continuous improvement of new supporter product development
- Strong agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, from building relationships and negotiating to contract and routine performance reviews
- Lead on all KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels; including programme optimisation to ensure targets are met and contingency planning as required.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the heart of a truly exciting heritage restoration project to restore, renew and open up to new audiences, a nationally-important building in a thriving but economically and socially challenged central London neighbourhood.
In November 2024, St Peter’s Walworth submitted a First-Round application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for Development Phase funding for the “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” project. The request was for a First Round Pass of £3.1m and a Development Grant of £438,000. A decision was received by NLHF on 13th March 2025 and pending Permission to Start, the Development Phase is set to run for 18 months, at which point a Delivery Round application will be submitted to activate a Delivery Phase. Staff, a Design Team, a QS and specialist consultants will need to be competitively appointed to complete a list of required documents/studies for the Delivery application. Design development needs to be completed to RIBA Stage 3, planning, Faculty and consents need to be in place and all partnership funding raised or pledged.
Capital works are proposed to the exterior of the Church, respecting its heritage integrity, making it more sustainable and putting it in good order throughout. Similarly inside, where improvements will make the Church more welcoming, improving infrastructure and circulation and accommodating planned activities. Works will take place over the three floors: Crypt Basement, the Ground Floor and the Gallery/First Floor.
A full time Heritage Manager will need to be appointed at the beginning of the 18-month Development Phase. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the Project reporting to Claire Maugham (Chair of the Steering Group Committee) involved in strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. In order to achieve the goals of St Peter’s Walworth, they will oversee design development to RIBA Stage 3 of “Building Beyond: Soane Reimagined” and oversee the preparation of key NLHF checklist documents, supporting on the roll out of a successful fundraising campaign - with a target to raise just over £1m working with a Fundraising Appeal Board, and a F/T Trusts and Foundations Manager.
The Heritage Manager will be a strategic thinker with an understanding of the planning and delivery of major projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). We are also looking for a candidate that will successfully integrate partnerships that are being forged in the local area. They should have a strong background in project management and possess the ability to move adeptly between big picture thinking and day-to-day operations, where it will be necessary, for example, to process their own admin.
The Heritage Manager will have some experience of fundraising, networking and financial management and be comfortable working in a start-up environment, being able to demonstrate experience of extensive community engagement, as well as an understanding of and empathy with the ambitions and vision of the St Peter’s Walworth PCC (Parochial Church Council) and the needs of a Grade 1 listed building.
They will bring an inclusive approach to their work, able to centre and involve the church and local community in the project while integrating the experience of a wide range of volunteer professionals
Their task will be ensure that the project is delivered within time and to budget in accordance with an agreed programme, budget and checklist of deliverables, as well as working closely with all project stakeholders and partners.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision.
APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support.
The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, and part of a small but ambitious fundraising team, you will lead our relationships with many of AfriKids existing
and prospective major donors, as well as have oversight of our small individual giving and community & events programmes.
Your role will focus on building existing relationships, developing stewardship plans, identifying and researching prospects and forming proposals and appeals.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting the development of the team’s fundraising strategy, using your experience and knowledge of the fundraising landscape to
help us devise an ambitious but sustainable plan to expand and safeguard our
work into the future.
With an eye for detail and the creativity to identify new opportunities, you will bring the energy and drive to deliver results for children.
In short, this role will require you to:
Manage relationships with prospects, donors, an volunteers
Secure donation from 4 to 5 figures from major donors.
Prospect research
Prepare budgets and forecasts etc.
Assist arrange and launch cultivation events.
Experience:
A proven track record in successfully securing five and six figure
donations from high-net worth individuals
In-depth experience of major donor fundraising and knowledge of
best practice fundraising techniques
Experience in researching and developing prospecting pipelines
Experience in building excellent relationships with donors that
result in long-term partnerships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to communicate passionately and persuasively while
communicating complex information in a creative and accessible
You may also have

Experience in global development and in particular with an education/child rights focus,
Experience of living/working in Ghana or other “Global Majority” settings.
Experience working in individual giving and/or community and events fundraising
Working with programmes and country teams to prepare proposals and reports for donors
Experience of working with fundraising development boards, high-value giving circles and other fundraising products in the notfor-
profit sector as part of a major donor fundraising/philanthropy strategy
Experience with Salesforce, Xero, Adobe InDesign.

You’ll be working on direct marketing campaigns that engage and inspire people to donate. And make it as easy as possible for them to choose the way they give. As part of the team, you’ll be innovative in a changing fundraising and external environment, to achieve ambitious annual income targets.
You’ll assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing activities through campaign, project, and agency and supplier management in order to retain existing donors and acquire new ones. To ensure everyone feels good about their donation.
This role will primarily have a focus on cash appeals and raffl es at Parkinson’s UK.
What you’ll do
- Assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offl ine, maximising income through acquisition and stewardship communications to secure one-off and regular gifts.
- Manage relationships with creative, print and response handling agencies working on campaigns.
- Support the Senior Individual Giving Offi cers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme.
- Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets.
- Excellent copywriting, creative and proofreading skills for both online and offl ine materials.
- Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools, platforms and techniques to work collaboratively and productively.
- Ability to review and evaluate data and campaign results and pull out key trends to inform future work.

West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (WYPP) is to be launched as a 12-month pilot, following successful programmes in other UK areas. Staying Put are proud to lead this partnership of 5 exceptional providers of domestic abuse services; Leeds Domestic Violence Service represented by Leeds Women’s Aid and Behind Closed Doors, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership and Wakefield Domestic Abuse Service.
We are now looking to set up our team of dedicated and passionate Family Court IDVAs. There are vacancies in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees for this post, the salary will be the same across the partnership, however the terms and conditions may vary.
You will be employed by one of the above organisations and be based in one location, however there is the need for flexibility and expectation of travel across all areas, at times.
About the role
This role will play a crucial part in supporting individuals, families and children through the family court process as part of the Pathfinder programme. Working as part of a strong multi-agency team across the courts of West Yorkshire, you will ensure the voice of the survivor informs every stage of the process. Using a client-led and trauma-informed approach, this role provides high-quality advocacy support to survivors of domestic abuse.
- Various hours available – Between 15 hours or 22.5 hours (2 or 3 days) Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- £27,898 – £28,898 FTE per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
- 12 month fixed-term contract initially. There is the possibility of extension, depending on successful outcomes of the pilot.

The Role
Yorkshire Cancer Research currently operates 15 shops across Yorkshire and are embarking on a retail expansion programme, with plans in place to open a further 20 shops across Yorkshire over the next three years. This is a role which forms part of the retail expansion plan. Reporting to the Head of Retail, the Retail Area Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of existing shops, and for the new shops as they open.
The Retail Area Manager will lead by example and ensure that employees, volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
Specifically, you will:
· Provide day to day line management responsibilities for Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers, including coaching, inspiring and motivating team members so they are clear about their role and feel fully supported in driving the charity forward.
· Work closely with Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers with regards to rota management and provide support where necessary to ensure each shop is sufficiently staffed.
· Be accountable for an area budget and achieve or exceed budgeted income, expenditure, and contribution (net income).
· Ensure that all charity policies, shop standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all Shop Managers and effectively cascaded to volunteers. Regularly review that they are all maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
· Ensure our shops are presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays and coach the Shop Managers to continually improve visual merchandising standards and share best practice.
· Lead, coach and develop the Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers, role modelling the internal PDR approach and wellbeing focus.
· Act as the “go to” lead for the Shop Managers on a day-to-day basis to help resolve operational issues, referring to Head of Retail for support with more complex issues.
· Act as an ambassador of the charity’s values, challenging misaligned behaviours and ensuring the values are integrated into all aspects of management.
· Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of service for all employees, volunteers, customers and supporters.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To be educated to A-Level or equivalent.
· To be trained as a First Aider, Fire Marshal and a Mental Health First Aider where appropriate.
· To have experience of multi-site retail management in a charity or commercial retail organisation
· To have experience of building and leading a team of employees and volunteers including recruitment and development.
· To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.
· To have experience of setting, monitoring, and reporting of sales and cost budgets.
· To have experience of using own initiative and taking accountability for all aspects of day-to-day retail operational management.
· To be highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise a workload to meet deadlines.
· To have the ability to lead teams of employees and volunteers, providing support, motivation, and encouragement.
· To have excellent IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· To have the ability and willingness to frequently travel across the Yorkshire region, access to own vehicle, and a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
