As the Trusts and Fundraising Officer, you will maximise income from trusts by the creation of high-quality applications and reports to funders, and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration. A leading literacy charity is looking for a Finance Assistant to join its small, closeknit team. The charity empowers children, young people and adults from disadvantaged communities with the literacy skills they need to succeed. The post holder's main duties and responsibilities are:
- Undertake month-end bank reconciliations, monitor balances and make transfers when required
- Process bank transactions including depositing cheques

- Understanding of UK financial regulations and tax laws, with specific knowledge of VAT and GiftAid advantageous.

- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
