As a Chef you will be operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, 'pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.

If successful, the main duties of your role will be:

• Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of our visitors
• Adopt operational responsibility for one area within the kitchen (for example one of the preparation areas, baking, hot meal production, etc)

• To operate across two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings to supply a 380 cover self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, events and functions hospitality, coffee shop, and 'pop up' outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum.

• Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
• Ensure that all areas within the kitchen and dining room areas are clean and tidy at all times, and all relevant documentation is up to date
• Daytime and evening Events catering up to and including formal banqueting for up to 500 attendees

You will have experience of working as a Chef in a busy kitchen together with a catering qualification and food hygiene training.  Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure. 

You will be working 5 days out of 7 with the occasional evening work at events.

Key responsibilities 

Organisational Leadership and line management 

• Deputise for the Director when necessary 

• Provide leadership and positive role modelling to the First Give team 

• Support organisation-wide improvements and innovation, including strategic planning and organisational structure 

• Develop connections and networks that increase the profile and opportunities for the charity 

• Work with the Director and Head of Programmes to create opportunities for young people to influence and engage with our work and impact 

• Line management of our Administrator 

Fundraising 

• Work with the Director and consultants to own and implement a robust fundraising strategy to support the organisation as it executes its new strategic plan 

• Develop processes for managing fundraising applications and stewardship of existing funders and supporters 

• Write and submit high quality, inspiring and tailored funding applications and reports for trusts and foundations (expected to be in the region of £10,000-150,000) 

• Identify and develop potential new funding opportunities for First Give, including major donors and corporate funders 

• Manage relationships with a set number of key funders, ensuring that we proactively seek feedback, engagement and involvement in our work 

New School Partner Recruitment 

• Oversee and co-ordinate all new school partner recruitment sales and marketing activity 

• Work with our marketing agency to develop and implement marketing campaigns 

• Support the Programmes Team to recruit new partner schools in priority regions 

• Proactively seek opportunities for growth of the First Give partners network 

• Develop and design and production of marketing and sales resources to support all sales activity

Communications 

• Lead the development and manage the delivery of our communications strategy, including all messaging to key stakeholders via a range of appropriate channels, including newsletters, social media and our website

Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team in London, Delhi or Accra. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

As Finance Officer with Clean Air Fund you will support the finance team with a growing organisation and complexity, helping to ensure that the financial processes and procedures of the Clean Air Fund run smoothly, efficiently and effectively, enabling other team members to be effective. 

This role will be responsible for managing all expenses, payments and month end information and processes, such as accruals, bank reconciliations. In addition, they will manage a contracts database and reconciliations between the finance system and the grant management system.

CDAS (Stoke on Trent Community Drug and Alcohol Service) is a new, all age service supporting individuals, their families and communities. Our busy team currently helps around 1500 people at any one time and we want to help even more by transforming our service to deliver from multiple venues and make more effective use of the resources we have.

You will lead on and be responsible for the provision of clinical care in our service, ensuring that our standards of care allow clients to achieve their recovery goals. A dynamic leader, you will guide and support clinical staff working within the service, working hand in hand with the service manager to foster a continuous improvement mindset and ensuring that evidence based best clinical practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards.Working in co-production with operational managers, you will lead the continuous development and governance of high quality, effective and safe services within the budget and the contract. You will also lead on building service accessibility and trauma informed care by delivery of culturally sensitive, safe clinical services that people trust and want to use.

It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners for the continuity of service, as well as leading on delivering opioid substitution and detoxification treatment, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention treatment and other clinical interventions.

This is a full time and permanent post. Working hours will cover Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, late shifts from 12.00pm to 8.00pm and some Saturdays.

You will be a compassionate and motivated registered nurse or pharmacist who holds a prescribing qualification, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. We’re looking for substantial experience working within the substance misuse arena, as well as experience working in a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively. This role sits within our Youth Impact Domain, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need it. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services around the country. 

Climb are an Prevention and Early Intervention Service for 10-17 year old's who may vulnerable to criminal exploitation and/or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. We offer 1-1 outreach support and access to positive diversionary activities in their local areas.

This is an exciting role within an established and expanding service across West Mercia. There are a number of varied, practitioner roles that are set to increase. We are currently looking for a Exploitation Practitioner to join our dynamic, ambitious team. 

This role will support young people at risk of criminal exploitation or entering the criminal justice system; at an early intervention level. This will be through 1-1, direct work and support in accessing positive diversionary activities, therefore reducing the risk. It will also require excellent mutli-agency work.

This role is for people with a passion in supporting vulnerable young people on a 1-1 basis, in raising their aspirations, building their confidence, working together with professionals to ensure the most appropriate, robust and holistic support is offered to meet each individual's needs. A key part of this role will be your ability to positively impact the lives of Children and Young people.

You will need to be able to engage with professional colleagues also, have presentation skills, and be able to bring people together around mutual goals.

Although the contracts are home based, there will be a lot of daily travel across Telford or Shropshire area. Although there is no specific office base, you will be part of a geographically based team and will be well supported by the management team and all of your colleagues.

As the Training Programmes Manager you will have oversight and responsibility for the healthcare professional training projects and activities, as well as growing the M4RD network within HCP groups and training institutions.

You will be key to rolling out Rare Disease 101 training for healthcare professionals all over the UK and potentially abroad. While you are not expected to deliver training yourself you will be pivotal to creating opportunities and facilitating all aspects of the programme.
