The Head of Research and Involvement is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering APF’s research and involvement ambitions. The role will lead thedelivery of our new research strategy, oversee APF’s research funding portfolio, and embed meaningful involvement of people affected by pulmonary fibrosis across the organisation’s work. About the Role   

As our Financial Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and efficient processes that support our mission. You'll oversee month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing clear insights to inform decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues throughout the charity, you'll manage grant and restricted fund reporting, support annual planning, drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes, and lead a small finance team. You'll also play a key role in ensuring compliance with charity accounting standards, governance requirements and best practice.

About you 

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ,CIPFA or similar) with at least five years' post-qualification experience and a proven track record in senior finance or audit roles. You'll be confident leading finance operations, managing staff, and turning complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.

You'll bring experience of charity finance, including grant management, restricted and unrestricted funds, and Charity SORP, alongside strong skills in Xero and Excel. Experience with Fathom and Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM/database systems) would be an advantage.

Our client operates a Superannuation Society which his both an occupational pension scheme and a Friendly Society run by our client.  The scheme has around 800 members including 164 active members and assets of around £115m. 

The post holder will provide administrative support to ensure that the scheme is run as effectively as possible.

The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining various governance materials including the business plan, risk register, trustee policies, conflicts register, trustee training logs and other documents. In addition, the post holder will play a key role in preparing the Scheme’s Own Risk Assessment and assist with the production of the scheme report and accounts.

The Head of MAT and School Partnerships will build and lead a high-impact portfolio of strategic MAT partnerships that improve recruitment, retention and long-term success for career change teachers while strengthening outcomes for schools and pupils. 

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Now Teach’s next phase of growth and impact. The postholder will play a central role in shaping how we work with MATs nationally and how career change teachers are recruited, supported and retained within schools serving disadvantaged communities.

You will also work closely with the Director of Network and Head of Impact to develop a school engagement, impact and advocacy strategy across the 500 schools where our 1,000-strong Now Teacher Network currently teach.

Lead the design, delivery and evolution of Now Teach’s MAT partnership strategy aimed at ensuring Now Teacher impact in schools. You will support teams to deliver on their agreed recruitment targets and network offer commitments , establishing and growing a portfolio of deeply engaged partners who get it right for their career change teachers.

You will create and maintain strategic relationships, act as a sector expert for growth opportunities, influence and negotiate at senior levels and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Now Teach is looking for our first Head of Impact as we embark on an exciting new organisational strategy to understand, articulate and maximise our impact. In this pivotal role, you will lead the ongoing development of Now Teach’s monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring we are able to clearly evidence our impact, evaluate and strengthen our approaches, drive continuous improvement and strengthen the case for career changers in teaching. 

We have identified four key areas of impact delivered by our network of Now Teachers and are now in the process of defining overarching organisational impact metrics and building our measurement systems. You will take on this role at a key point in our impact journey, embedding our strategic impact framework and strengthening our internal impact capabilities.

At Christian Aid, we believe lasting change happens when people work together for justice. Our supporters are at the heart of that change and we’re now looking for a Supporter Experience Manager to shape how thousands of people connect with our mission.

This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver Christian Aid’s first unified supporter journey framework, creating seamless, inspiring experiences that drive engagement, giving, and long-term loyalty.

Reporting to the Head of Public Fundraising, but working across the wider department and beyond, this role will:

• Lead our first Supporter Experience Strategy, uniting teams across the organisation.
• Map, refine, and innovate supporter journeys, identifying opportunities for deeper connection.
• Harness data and supporter insights to drive evidence-based decisions.
• Foster innovation, testing new technologies and approaches to enhance engagement.
• Train and equip teams to deliver consistently excellent supporter experiences.

About you

In addition to a passion for Supporter Experience, some of the essential skills and experience we’re looking for are:

• Significant experience in a supporter experience role or delivering journey strategy.
• A track record creating and delivering multichannel communications.
• Strong data and analytical skills to refine approaches and measure success.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing, and project management abilities.

Experience with CRM systems, matrix management, KPI measurement or leading change initiatives is desirable, but most importantly, you’ll have a supporter-first mindset and the drive to inspire meaningful connections. You’ll also be committed to Christian Aid’s vision to see a world where everyone can live a full life free from poverty and injustice.
