About the role:

• As Area Manager you will oversee delivery of high-quality services across Lancashire.
• Facilitate consultation across the teams and other key stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice, implement and support the strategic direction of the area business plan.
• Drive continuous improvement of performance through use of data and other operational information to ensure teams perform to the highest standards at all times.
• Help build on and lead external relationships promoting positive working relationships to ensure the best possible support and outcomes is provided to eligible service users.
• Ensure we are meeting the needs of our service users to a standard as expected of our commissioners and partners.
• As Area Manager, you will develop and maintain effective relationships and formal partnerships across organisations and with key stakeholders, and promote and develop the services of VS. You will be responsible for leading the designated area strategically and ensuring it complies with national service delivery standards and best practice guidelines. You will also represent the charity in an appropriate and professional manner to commissioners, stakeholders, external bodies and the media, whilst acting as a voice for victims to the wider community.
• Key responsibilities of the role are to ensure the successful delivery of a high quality, efficient and responsive services to victims, the identification of income growth and partnership opportunities and building relationships with relevant commissioning bodies and other stakeholders. A focus on team development, and the monitoring of performance and quality are key within the role.
• Please note that travel across a large area is an essential part of this role and you may be asked to work unsociable hours on occasion. You must be able to attend in person meetings with commissioners and partners across Lancashire well as attending offices to meet returning staff.

Job Title: Family Housing Management Officer

Location: Luton (Actual location hidden due to the confidentiality of the service) 

Salary: £24,500

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00 - 18:00 with flexibility around these hours as necessary

About the role

As a Family Housing Management Officer, you will be based within a women's accommodation based service which supports homeless families in Luton. The service has 7 units of accommodation which supports: 

• Expectant mothers
• Mothers with up to two children under the age of 10
• Single women aiming to have guardianship of their children

You will join the service which is designed to work with families to gain the valuable skills required to end the cycle of homelessness and enable future independently sustained living.  Assistance can range from basic interventions and guidance around resettlement and gaining/sustaining independent living to more intense support in areas such as domestic violence, offending/ex offending, mental health, substance use, parenting skills, and safety in the home. 

You will provide support in a flexible, individualised approach so that families can progress in a way that suits both parent and child’s needs whilst in a safe and stable environment. This can include through support sessions, projects and activities, signposting and general wellbeing support. You will support in wider areas which can include supporting with custody arrangements, mediation, supervised contact, and creating a safe space for families. 

You may also be expected to support in our other services, one which is a residential for males, which can include lone working at times. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support women who face various obstacles in their daily lives, which can affect their family relationships. You will be driven to support them to being the best versions of themselves, able to build trusting relationships in a professional setting and able to provide positive outcomes which are personalised to their needs. You will be creative in your approach to find new ways to bring people together to gain a sense of community and belonging through various events and activities both in house and externally. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs. 

You will have an understanding and ability to help others overcome their personal barriers, and will be motivated to want to make a difference to people's lives. This is a fulfilling role, and is the perfect fit for someone who has a real passion in helping others. You will have:

• You will be able to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• You will be able to motivate, and empower others to achieve their personal goals and overcome barriers
• You will need some level of IT ability as we record records using our online CRM systems and use Microsoft programs daily
• You will have previous experience working with people with multiple and complex needs, ideally in mental health
• You will have previous experience in creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care plans
• You will understand the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager (Grants & Trusts) will be responsible for developing and implementing a successful fundraising strategy focused on trusts, foundations, and statutory grants. They will identify new funding opportunities, build relationships with funders, and write compelling applications that align with St Bride Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities.

This role is crucial in securing core funding, project-specific grants, and capital funding, enabling us to expand our heritage, learning, and community engagement programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Grant & Trust Fundraising

• Develop and implement a revenue and capital fundraising strategy, identifying compelling propositions and packages, and setting and securing agreed targets.
• Research and identify trusts, foundations, and grant opportunities aligned with our mission.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of funding prospects, ensuring a strategic and proactive approach to fundraising.
• Write and submit high-quality, compelling funding applications for core, project, and capital funding.
• Track and meet application deadlines, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
• Work with the Board of Trustees to establish and manage a Fundraising Committee.

2. Relationship Management & Stewardship

• Build and maintain strong relationships with grant funders, trustees, and key stakeholders.
• Prepare engaging impact reports, updates, and presentations for funders.
• Ensure timely and effective stewardship and recognition of funders, increasing long-term support.
• Building internal relationships to developing an understanding of the work/projects and funding needs.

3. Strategy & Income Growth

• Develop and implement a trusts and grants fundraising strategy, setting targets and KPIs to maximise income.
• Work as part of the Senior Management Team to align funding applications with strategic priorities.
• Identify opportunities for multi-year funding and partnerships that provide sustainable income.

4. Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, including progress towards goals, donor acquisition, and retention rates.
• Ensure all grants and funding received are managed effectively, with clear budgeting and financial reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date records of applications, funding received, and reporting deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Management team to ensure effective grant delivery and reporting.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Several years of proven experience in trusts and grants fundraising, with a track record of securing funding from foundations, trusts, and statutory bodies.
• Strong research and prospecting skills, identifying the right funders for key projects.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, able to create compelling grant applications and reports.
• Experience in relationship management, with the ability to engage funders and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and financial reporting for grant-funded projects.
• Knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising best practices.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience securing capital or heritage funding (e.g., National Lottery Heritage Fund).
• Knowledge of arts, culture, or heritage funding streams.

Citizens Advice Camden is looking for a Generalist Adviser (or Trainee Generalist Adviser) to deliver a dedicated advice service to hospital workers at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

As the adviser delivering this particular service, you’ll provide one-to-one advice and casework on a range of issues, from housing and benefits to debt and employment, helping staff navigate the real-world pressures they face. You’ll be based within the hospital's staff support environment and work alongside other Citizens Advice advisers delivering a separate service.

Whether you’re an experienced adviser or looking to train, we’ll support your development with supervision and access to the full Citizens Advice training programme. You will  manage your own caseload, shape how the service is delivered, and build strong links with hospital staff and departments.

I’m looking to speak to a Content Manager who will join a fantastic health charity, and produce high quality, compelling and insight-driven content for use across multiple channels to raise the profile the charity and their impact. This includes video and multimedia content, written stories and blogs as well as leading their podcast production.

Relationship building is key in this role, you will manage the Multimedia Content Producer, work closely with storytellers on commissioned projects and support teams across the entire charity, including Fundraising, Campaigns, Clinical and Service Delivery. You will also manage agencies and freelancers.

As Content Manager you will;

• Work with the Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and deliver the content strategy; assessing content production needs across the charity, generating content ideas with the wider team and managing content production – with the aim to maximise opportunities to communicate the impact of charity’s work.

Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for an Support and Outreach Assistant to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our Roma Communities to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. Where local services and resources are not available you will also support the Outreach Team with the delivery of information, guidance and some direct interventions, such as training sessions, directly.
 
This is self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the Roma community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.
 
The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role, as well as your ability to speak Romanian. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.
 
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:

• Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to Roma Big Issues vendors
• Delivery of direct intervention to Roma vendors using guidance and resources provided
• Join meetings with Roma Vendors and Outreach Workers to support with action planning and provision of support and guidance
• Support with translation and interpretation within your local team to enable accessibility of the service for Roma vendors
• Support the local Hand Up Service to build current knowledge of local and national agencies that can support Roma vendors
• Support the organisation and delivery with Roma Vendors of 1-2-1 and group training sessions and drop-ins
• Ensure that your work meets service standards and targets and complete surveys with vendors as required
• Involving Roma service users in the service design and delivery as local and national opportunities arise
• Adhere to all required policies and procedures including with regards to safeguarding, lone and safe working, case work management and expenses and finances
• Undertake any other duties as required by your manager (within reasonable expectations)

 
You need to be:
 

• Passionate about and committed to supporting those living in poverty
• Confident communicator face to face and on the phone in both Romanian and English, with ability to convey information clearly
• Able to build rapport with diverse individuals from the Roma community
• Knowledge and understanding of the challenges and inequalities that individuals from the Roma community may face in the UK
• Excellent time management and very organised, with the ability to complete tasks by agreed deadlines
• Good data entry skills
• Able to represent the organisation to other professionals and partner agencies
• Able to work with individuals in both one to one and group formats
• Able to follow guidelines and work within policies, seeking support from line manager as needed
• Willing to work in flexible locations including our community office, as well as visiting vendors at pitches and attending community meetings. This role is not suitable for home- based working.

The Refugee & Migrant Services Caseworker will join the Refugee & Migrant Services Support Team, who work alongside our ESOL team and volunteers to meet clients’ needs as directed by the R&MS Team Leader.  The post is based at our offices in Bedford but will involve some local travel to deliver support and home appointments.  Our team deliver a number of services, including:

• Welcoming and providing holistic integration support to resettled refugee families, empowering them to live independently with less support as time goes on.
•  Providing vulnerable migrants with high quality information and advice, empowering them to make well-informed choices.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building trust and maintaining positive working relationships with all clients, external agencies and other areas of KAP.
• Systematic recording of all notes and actions related to client support, maintaining up-to-date risk assessments and support plans using our case management system.
• Fulfilling funders’ & commissioners’ reporting requirements; generating statistics, case studies and keeping detailed records.
• Meeting resettled families at the airport and bringing them to their new homes.
• Ensuring clients understand their rights and responsibilities regarding their accommodation, supporting them to fulfil these.
• Supporting clients through advocacy to access; health & wellbeing services, welfare benefits, housing, immigration advice, community events, education, training, volunteering and paid work.
• Assisting resettled families’ children to access education and ensuring appropriate support is in place for them.
• Provide advice and support to resettled families through home appointments in Bedfordshire.
• Provide advice and support to clients both remotely and at in-person meetings

• Maintaining working practices that reflect the overall ethos and vision of KAP, including following our policies, procedures and code of conduct.
