Rays of Sunshine exits to brighten the lives of seriously ill children aged three to 18 across the UK by granting magical wishes and providing ongoing support within the community. Our work creates a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
You will be joining a small but passionate team, full of positivity, energy and drive to succeed and we need someone who will be a part of our success, helping to achieve our new vision for the charity to ensure we can creating lasting memories for all children and young people with a life limiting illness.
In this role you will be responsible for working across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts and foundations, with a prominent focus on supporting with account management of existing partnerships and developing our pipeline of prospects. The charity has a history of success in these areas and we would love to have someone join the team to build upon this success.
Ideally the candidate would have existing experience in corporate partnerships, but we are open to candidates with experience in one or more of the fundraising disciplines mentioned above, with a willingness to develop their skills and experience, through a supportive, coaching and a mentoring leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships
- Support with creating proposals and pitches to secure Brand, Corporate and Commercial Partnerships, with a strong focus on shared purpose and mutual benefit, to create successful long term strategic partnerships.
- Support with relationship management of current partners of Rays of Sunshine, ensuring they have materials to aid their fundraising.
- To manage the input of corporate partnership data on the CRM system (currently Donorfy).
- Manage the updates to the corporate pipeline master document, ensuring appropriate actions are met within deadline.
- Supporting the Corporate Volunteer Researcher to undertake the necessary research to support our pipeline of approaches.
Philanthropy
- Creating supporter updates and reports to demonstrate the impact of funding received from our Patrons and Major Donors, providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
- Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day.
Trusts and Foundations
- Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations
Stewardship
- Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.
General
- General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
- Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

Context of the role.
The successful candidate will be guided by the Communications & Fundraising Officer to communicate the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and demonstrate the impact of Upbeat Communities to our supporters and followers, as well as to new audiences. They will have a positive attitude and love communicating what we do as a charity.
The role can mostly be done remotely; however, it will be required for the candidate to travel to our base in Derby a minimum of 1 day a week to stay connected to the team, and for team meetings and training as and when they occur.

Content creation
- Creating written and visual content for social media and our website.
- Finding useful resources, articles, and news to be shared on our website, blog and social media.

- Day-to-day management of Upbeat’s social media accounts including creating and scheduling content, replying to messages, and interacting with followers.
- Updating the website with relevant images, statistics, and news.
Supporter stewardship
- Following Upbeat’s donations process, ensure donors are thanked in an appropriate and timely manner, and that all communications are logged on to our database (Donorfy).

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Sittingbourne shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day, so some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. We work 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Shrewsbury shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.
About you
You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. You will also demonstrate an appreciation of Scope’s values and ambition of achieving Everyday Equality for disabled people.

The Educational Partnerships Manager role will suit someone that is able to work with young people, build rapport and engage young people from a range of backgrounds. Your experience of relationships development and management will help with developing new schools as well as supporting existing school relationships. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.

About the role
The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward.
