We are seeking a Facilities & Events Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of our events and facilities hire at our historic Richmond site. It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we continue to further develop our visitor experience and facilities hire offer.

The Facilities & Events Assistant will be the first port of call for enquiries, and will provide excellent customer service and front desk support to our customers. You’ll be responsible for organising the staff and volunteer rota, and ensuring that all the logistics are in place for a smooth customer experience.

You’ll be involved in donation processing, and maintaining records in our supporter database. The role will also have the opportunity for involvement in high profile events such as the Field of Remembrance and VIP/Royal visits.

This position is ideally suited to someone who thrives on a high degree of autonomy, enjoys a varied role with the opportunity to think creatively to solve challenges, and can flex their pinpoint attention to detail in our events and facilities hire operations.

We are seeking a highly experienced Trusts and Foundations fundraising consultant to spearhead the Trusts programme at Dreams Come True. The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) has embarked on a new exciting five-year strategy – ‘Becoming Seamlessly Inclusive 2023-2028’. Role of the Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer:

1. Overall

1.1 To support and develop the volunteer and work placement programmes.

1.2 To practically support two of our trainees with neurodiversity.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 To oversee the volunteer programme with support from the Head of Programmes.

2.2 To manage the ‘access to work’ programmes.

2.3 To act as a work coach to the trainees, helping them deliver their work plans.

2.4 To support the ‘Learning Manager and Collections Engagement Officer’ with the provision of volunteers for their programmes of work.

2.5 To support the work placement’s programme and individuals completing them, by planning out the work in liaison across the team and helping the ‘Head of Programmes’ carry out the work.

2.6 To support the Trust’s community liaison.

2.7 To support other programmes of work as directed.

3. Meetings and reporting

3.1 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’will be employed by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and be responsible to the Board of Trustees.

3.2 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’ will report to, be managed and supported by the ‘Head of Programmes’.

3.3 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer will have monthly meetings with the ‘Head of Programmes reporting on progress and raising any areas of concern.

4. Period of Contract

4.1 May 2024 to the end of April 2026.

5. Contract fee/Pay

5.1 The proposed fee is £25,000 a year pro-rata - three days a week (24 hours).

5.2 In addition to the payment outlined above the ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’ will be paid reasonable agreed expenses incurred subject to the supply of receipts/travel expense claim. The post holder will also be eligible for a stakeholder pension.

What are we looking for?

Sue Lambert Trust are looking for a resilient and experienced  counsellor ready to take on the challenge of a leadership and management role within an organisation passionate about offering a kind, safe and supportive therapeutic service to survivors of sexual abuse and violence. In this role you would be responsible for the professional development of our team of counsellors as well as supporting both trainee and experienced counsellors in their work with us.  

Background Information:

Sue Lambert Trust provides kind, safe, supportive help for people who have experienced sexual or domestic abuse at some point in their lives.

We provide free, specialist support that enables people to recover, heal and build resilience to face the future. Our support is organized around a three-phased trauma informed approach.

Phase One Groundwork is designed to support clients with practical issues as well as providing stabilisation in preparation for counselling. Around 200 clients per year access this service.

Phase Two Counselling is the core provision and is delivered by 50+ trained counsellor volunteers working with around 300 clients weekly.

Phase Three aims to build resilience and includes interventions such as self-help groups.

We are funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, Ministry of Justice, National Lottery and several local and national Trusts and Foundations.

With the launch of a new strategy to guide us through to 2026 it is an opportune time to be joining an organization that is ambitious in its support for its clients.

Job Title:Counselling Support and Development Manager

Responsible to: Head of Counselling

Job purpose:

1. To ensure that all counsellors and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge to deliver and develop Sue Lambert Trust services.
2. To support the Head of Counselling to manage a team of staff and counsellors in delivering effective, safe and quality counselling and other appropriate therapeutic services.           
3. To support the Head of Counselling in the development of clinical services, and work collaboratively with the Service Support and Development Manager to implement Trauma Informed Practices (TIP)
4. To support the Head of Counselling in creating a safeguarding culture throughout the organisation.

Main responsibilities:

Operational Delivery

1. To develop and lead a needs-based plan for the learning and development of the counselling team aligned with Sue Lambert Trust strategy.

2. To organise and manage trainee counsellor placements, working in partnership with counsellor training providers to support and develop trainees in their ongoing training.

3. To act as the Senior Counselling Lead for all trainee counsellors, undertaking case management monthly

4. To work collaboratively to develop and support the implementation of consistent working practices across our sites with a focus on our Great Yarmouth office.

5. To lead on the development and training of a dedicated team of EMDR practitioners.

6. To act as one of the designated safeguarding leads within the organisation, providing support to Senior Counselling Leads and counsellors

7. To deputise for the Head of Counselling as and when required

Service Delivery

1. To provide one to one counselling and other therapeutic services as appropriate in line with the policies and requirements of the organisation

2. To ensure a skilled clinical team can deliver initial assessments, review and top-up calls, effective allocations, and any other services as directed.

3. To line manage the Senior Counselling Leads based in Great Yarmouth

4. To lead on best practice in clinical service delivery as outlined by BACP guidelines and statutory and regulatory requirements throughout the organisation.

5. To liaise where necessary and appropriate with external supervisors to support counsellors and clients.

Service Development

1. To ensure the clinical team collect client outcome measures and experience of service feedback to inform the ongoing development of the organisation.

2. To lead on recruiting, interviewing, inducting, and training new volunteers and trainees

3. To lead on clinical development within the counselling management team working alongside the Service Support and Development Manager to ensure quality of policies and procedures is client centred and trauma aware.

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Counselling Support and Development Manager

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Diploma level qualification in counselling

2. Minimum 450 hours clinically supervised counselling experience

3. Achieved or working towards BACP accreditation.

Skills/knowledge required:

1. Experience of planning and implementing a needs-based training and development programme for a team

2. Experience of working and understanding the needs of trainee’s and volunteers within a service

3. Experience of working in a client focussed multi disciplinary service

4. Experience of implementing quality standards and training across teams of staff, volunteers and trainees.

5. Experience of implementing and managing change

6. Current ongoing and proven counselling experience within an organisation

7. A deep understanding and empathy with people who have experienced trauma particularly in relation to sexual violence and abuse.

8. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to communicate with a range of different people

9. Clear understanding of the person-centred counselling approach and/or EMDR or Somatic therapy, within the context of a person centred service.

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and with the support of Head of Developments, the CEO will lead the management of the organisation, drive its strategic development and, together with the Board, secure the future success of the organisation.

Main responsibilities will include:

Administration

• Be responsible for securing contracts by confirming booking information and working with the Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy to ensure freelance trainer contracts and Service Agreements are in place

• Oversee the general administration of all APD functions including responding to customer queries and feedback

•  Process course bookings made via Thinkific and other platforms, ensuring all requirements are noted and passed on appropriately

• Ensure effective contribution of accurate and timely data required by Artswork and its funders / stakeholders

Finance

• Be responsible for APD budgets including raising sales invoices, reconciling payments and managing deferred income

• Follow anti-money laundering procedures to ensure APD sales are compliant with legislation

• Ensure all finance and operations processes and procedures are rigorously implemented in collaboration with the Finance & Operations team

• Produce budget forecasts for APD and provide monthly updates on current financial position to the Deputy CEO and Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy

• Chase debtors and regularly report any overdue payments to the Finance team

Strategy

• Contribute to the APD growth strategy through ideas and practical solutions

• Work with the APD team and Deputy CEO in the development of new programmes, routes to market and audience development

Communications

• Help to maintain strong communication channels with all partner organisations and customers

• Provide administrative support in developing regional networks, contacts and partners

• Assist with the engagement of employers and partners for projects and programmes

Administration and Legal Compliance

• Maintain positive professional relationships with our participants, partners and stakeholders •

The City and Guilds of London  Art School is a small, independent Higher Education Institute. The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.

As the Trust and Grants Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts and grants. Based within the Development Team you will look to identify funding opportunities to secure funds to ensure the Hospice successfully achieves its objectives and development plan. With experience of writing bid writing, trust applications and reporting you will have excellent attention to detail and effectively manage deadlines. We are looking for an excellent team player and communicator who is ambitious and solution focussed and has the energy and passion to drive forward our aspirations and operational goals.
