This is a new role, as we are looking to appoint our first Fundraising Manager.

Currently, we have a strong programme of Trust and Foundation fundraising, delivered by our CEO and functional managers, and a small programme of individual giving managed by our Communications and Campaigns team but no dedicated fundraising staff.

We are looking for an efficient fundraiser with an understanding of various fundraising strategies, from individual giving to trusts and foundations.

You will have to opportunity to build this role within a supportive and friendly organisation, and as part of our dynamic Communications and Campaigns Team.

The Individual Giving Manager will play a vital role in fundraising activities to support our mission of providing care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As the Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage individual donors and supporters, cultivating meaningful relationships, and maximising their financial contributions.

At Haven House the focus within the Income Generation and Marketing Team is to put the supporter and donor at the centre of everything we do, ensuring they feel inspired by our work and the children and families we support; engaged and committed to our cause and ultimately make a commitment to do something amazing.

Join The Society as Communications and Membership Manager to drive our strategic objectives and elevate the profile of physiology among the public and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective integrated communications plans, supporting the development of resources for the Training Hub, and leading strategic initiatives for membership recruitment and retention. Additionally, you will oversee the efficient delivery and maintenance of grants, ensuring good governance practices. 

The Physiological Society 

The Physiological Society has made significant contributions to our knowledge of biological systems and the treatment of disease. The Society promotes physiology and supports those working in the field by organising world-class scientific meetings, offering grants for research, collaboration and international travel, and by publishing the latest developments in its leading scientific journals.

The position 

In this role, you will coordinate The Society’s communications activities to ensure a coherent and impactful narrative, manage the Communications Grid, and act as a brand champion. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining networks with partner organisations and third-party suppliers, managing the communications and membership budget, and leading the establishment of key performance indicators for communications and engagement activities. You will also develop targeted narratives, oversee the production of various communications content, and monitor trends to propose innovative projects.

The Communications and Membership Manager has line management responsibility for a Senior Communications Officer, Membership and Grants Officer, and a Communities and Contents Officer.

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will have a Life-Science degree or relevant experience in Life Sciences. They should have a strong track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications for diverse audiences, including translating complex research for lay audiences. High digital literacy is essential, encompassing digital design tools, content creation, website management, email platforms, and social media management. Experience in project management, creating accurate visual and written content for various platforms, and excellent organisational skills with a proactive problem-solving approach are required. The candidate should also have experience maintaining professional relationships, working collaboratively within a team, and line management.

Community and Engagement Manager

Position: Community and Engagement Manager

Location: Teddington, TW11 8HT

Salary Range (depending on experience): pro rata of £32,910 – £38,745 incl. OLW

Hours: Part-time 21 hours per week. We are able to offer some flexibility with the role such as term time only or flexibility with days/times.

About the role

Richmond AID is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who will support our vision of putting Deaf and Disabled people at the centre of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced person who can develop and implement an engagement and co-production strategy. You will work closely with our other managers and play an integral role in the management team.

The role involves leading the delivery and development of our dynamic Community and Engagement team. This multidisciplinary team currently has 6 direct reports and services include: BuddyUp, Spade gardening service, Mental Health Peer Support service, Connect to Tech digital training, Campaigning and our wide range of peer group activities.  There is a variety of skills and experience which will require someone to We are looking for someone to not just manage these services, but to lead their development and widen our coverage across the borough of Richmond. This will predominantly involve supporting the people involved to be leaders of their own projects, developing/modernising our delivery model, ensuring projects meet targets and quality standards and when required also being involved in supporting direct service delivery.

About you

You will have strong leadership skills with experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team. You will lead our engagement, co-production and campaign strategy and manage our Community and Engagement team instilling these values through all our work. You must be committed to the value of participative community engagement, have a great understanding of the needs of diverse communities, and a passion for social justice and supporting Disabled people.

You must have experience in the delivery of community facing services and be able to  demonstrate an understanding of the challenges faced by Disabled people. It is essential you bring passion, dynamic ideas and creativity to the role.

You will be an excellent networker internally and externally. You will have strong influencing skills, and will have the right blend and balance of people skills with excellent communication and project management abilities. You must be comfortable connecting with the wider community, able to listen, gather the views of local people, and feed these back into our wider programme of work. You’ll be confident in participative strategies and tools such as facilitating groups, arranging events, developing surveys, gathering views and responding to consultations.

You will have experience of managing a team covering a wide range of projects and interests. You will know what it takes to set up and manage a project and ensure it meets the intended outcomes.

You will be skilled in managing group dynamics and supporting your team to have boundaries with clients. You will also have experience of managing Safeguarding issues. Above all you must bring a positive, solution focused attitude.

Experience of campaigning work, with a track record of delivering innovative digital campaigns that have led to real change, would be an advantage.

About Richmond AID

Richmond AID offers 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays pro rata. Normal office hours are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. About the position

Are you a highly-creative communicator with a sharp eye for visual impact and a way with words and design? Can you help us tell the story of our programmes, including School Plates, which makes school meals healthier and more sustainable, as well the upcoming Hospital Plates and our policy work? We want to create engaging content to explain the need for better public sector food, to showcase our services, and to illustrate our impact. 

As well as being a strong writer, you’ll be a creative designer, comfortable with handling design requests among your other tasks in a busy workload. Reporting directly to the UK Director, you’ll also work closely with the rest of the UK team as well as some international colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Complete a range of design tasks including printed materials such as leaflets and banners, as well as slides and digital assets for social media and newsletters,  ensuring all designed materials align with brand guidelines

• Write and distribute our various newsletters on Mailchimp and LinkedIn, while also building and engaging our supporter base

• Create relevant web content including regular news stories, recipes and blogs 

• Improve SEO

• Manage and grow our social media channels with creative and engaging content focusing on School Plates

• Contribute to written reports, often liaising with external designers

• Proofreading and editing all external content before publication

• Produce detailed case studies to support our School Plates programme, including some occasional UK travel

• Provide communications support for School Plates across the different UK nations including Scotland

• Provide technical/logistical support for Zoom webinars and meetings

• Liaising with external partners/alliances and working together where appropriate to raise brand awareness and further our mission

About us: 

The Childhood Trust is London’s child poverty charity. Children growing up in poverty face multiple and complex challenges which limits their potential and development, leading to poor health and life chances in adulthood. Our work is focused on supporting the 700,000 children living in poverty in London.   

Since 2013 The Childhood Trust has raised more than £31 million through our matched fundraising campaigns that have enabled us to fund the delivery child poverty projects across all London boroughs, engaging more than 390,000 children and young people to date.We are now looking to take our fundraising to the next level and need a talented Senior New Partnerships Manager to help us get there.

The role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our fast-growing Fundraising Team, and leading our new business efforts by identifying, cultivating and securing new corporate partnerships at the six and seven-figure level as well as playing an active part in the wider team’s endeavours to secure and uplift our corporate partnerships.

You will report to our Director of Development and will manage and grow our relationships with like-minded businesses across multiple industries to generate income and engage new audiences for the Childhood Trust to achieve our strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:  

· Build cases for support to engage funders. This will involve working with the Corporate Partnerships Team and wider organisation to build compelling cases for support for a variety of corporate partnerships, including strategic partnerships, COTY, Cause Related Marketing campaigns and sponsorship opportunities.

· Identify corporate partnership opportunities. This will involve conducting research to manage and grow a pipeline of corporate partnerships opportunities worth £50k+ and/or with significant media and communications value.

· Develop cultivation plans for key prospects and target industries to increase support for the Childhood Trust.

· Proactively approach and build new relationships with corporates, securing and attending meetings.

· Develop and deliver high quality communications to secure new corporate partnerships. For example, this could include brochures, proposals, and pitches which communicate the charity’s work, strategy, and a case for why companies should support the Childhood Trust.

· Work collaboratively with the Account Management team to embed new partnerships to ensure they are managed appropriately.

· Contribute to setting the annual budget and carrying out regular review of the pipeline

· Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of The Childhood Trust’s strategic goals.

 Person Specification:

· Proven track record of personally soliciting corporate partnerships at the six-figure level and above

· Experience of dealing with C-suite individuals and senior volunteers

· Excellent personal presentation and communication skills, and attention to detail

· High level of numeracy, IT literacy and competence

· Experience of budget setting and monitoring

· Use of Salesforce

· Solid knowledge of governance and regulations related to fundraising and the charity sector

AAUK are seeking a Head of Trusts and Global Markets to lead  our dynamic Trusts and Global Markets team to deliver a target of ~£4.5M in 2024 while seeking growth for the future. The role provides leadership across four key areas; Trusts in the UK (including our strategic partnership with the People’s Postcode Lottery), Trusts in Liechtenstein, Partnerships and Philanthropy in the Gulf (primarily Qatar and UAE), and Philanthropy and Partnerships in Singapore and Hong Kong. The role provides strategic direction to each of these areas, supporting the Senior Managers to navigate internal systems and relationships while seeking opportunities for growth and innovation. 

The post holder willplay a key strategic and lead role in the Philanthropy & Partnerships team (P&P), comprising Philanthropy, and Strategic Funding & Insight sub-teams, in order to ensure maximum collaboration, a joined-up approach to donors and increase income across the P&P team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to raise funds from trusts and foundations, as well as managing our global investment portfolio. Working  collaboratively with the Co-CEOs, board and Senior Leaders  to engage and promote  the work of the Trusts and Global Markets team, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues on humanitarian emergencies, ensuring Trusts/regional markets' support is maximised at these times.

Key responsibilities include:

Building and maintaining relationships with key trust and foundation donors
Developing fundraising strategies to secure funding for our programs and projects
Managing our diverse global investment portfolio to achieve financial growth and stability
Monitoring and evaluating the performance of our investments and adjusting strategies as needed
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in finance, fundraising, or investment management, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A solid understanding of trusts, foundations, and global markets is also essential.
