Engaging increasing numbers of schools in ACN’s Membership programme, fundraising initiatives, and developing new initiatives and resources working strategically with the Community Fundraiser in Scotland.

Administratively responsible for all ACN events in Scotland, in close cooperation with the Manager of Operations in Scotland, the Community Fundraiser for Scotland, Administrative Support in the Scottish Office and the Fundraising and Marketing Team. Responsible for promoting events via social media posts leading up to and during events. Using social media after events to recognise success and encourage future engagement.

Main areas of responsibility:

o Line management of up to 5 staff
o Build and maintain a vibrant volunteer community ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported and motivated to support Loveworks in a variety of roles.
o Ensure good practice, policies, procedures and appropriate training is in place for staff and volunteers.
· Operational management:
o Oversee the operational running of the charity, as delegated to the charity officers, ensuring the governance is fit for purpose and maintained.
o Manage and ensure maintenance and running of Loveworks assets including the warehouse, van and two allotments
· Budget management:
o Create and manage the overall budget as agreed with Trustee Treasurer
o Monthly and annual reporting
· Governance:
o Work with the Board of Trustees to ensure the charity commission governance requirements are operationally in place and maintained.
o Manage operational risk and health & safety across the charity.
· Stakeholder management:
o Relationship building e.g. agencies, schools, corporate organisations and fundraisers, developing and maintaining links with local community groups, organisations and businesses.
· Marketing and fundraising:
o Oversee the funding bids, grant applications, sponsorship campaigns and fundraising events.

About the role
As part of this exciting role, you will be responsible for successfully planning and delivering our UK campaigns. You’ll achieve this by leading a dedicated team to develop integrated strategies across multiple areas, managing campaign budgets and coordinating political and public engagement efforts. As Product Manager for digital learning, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our Sustainable Laboratories learning and certification products. We need an events manager who is adept at managing projects and events, working with our fundraisers and encouraging our supporters to get involved in our events such as our annual trek, the prestigious Care Sector Ball, and all the other events we’re involved in. The right person will have the confidence and persistence it takes to persuade, cajole, prod and encourage fundraisers to do as much as they can to raise funds for us. You need to be proficient at managing the admin that goes with events, including using fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse to engage with fundraisers and provide regular reports on the income raised. We will also need you to organize hotel, travel, conference arrangements for the team.
You must be based in England, to help us keep travel costs down as much as possible. The role is home based, with travel to fundraising events, conferences and network meetings, and with travel every 10 weeks or so to central London for team meetings.
You must be a determined self-reliant professional though also a team player, to effectively coordinate and execute events and other activities, and be passionate about events management and fundraising to enable us to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

Job Description – Operations Manager
IcFEM Dreamland Mission is a Christian charity set up to help fund and support the work of IcFEM in
Kenya. We had been running for almost 20 years with volunteers
running a home-based UK office. Three years ago we employed staff in the UK for the first time. We
currently have income of £350k- £400k a year depending on the projects running. IcFEM Kenya is a
locally run organisation based at Kimilili in Western Kenya. IcFEM Kenya runs community projects as
well as a school and hospital. The past five years has seen our work grow significantly, including the
school and hospital which have developed into large institutions that are valued by the community
in Kimilili and fit well into the local government set up.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to see our ministry grow and is experienced at
blending trust in God with human endeavour.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who has experience of the charity sector and is prepared to
be flexible and adaptable to the needs of this small charity. There is the potential for flexibility within
this role and we would be willing to discuss a variation in hours worked. Some occasional evening or
weekend work will be needed, and occasional travel to Kenya is an important part of the role,
particularly to build relationships with the Kenyan team.

Role Information
The Finance Manager is a key strategic role within the organization and will be part of the Senior Leadership Team. As Family Gateway enters into year 2 of its 3-year strategic plan, this is an exciting time in which the Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership team, staff and volunteers will shape the future of service delivery for the community that it serves in Howdon and Wallsend and as it reaches beyond and across the North East with its Barefoot Professional Model of service delivery with steady growth in mind. The post holder therefore will be required to have a good understanding of the political and funding landscape and be able to form good stakeholder relationships.
The post holder will manage a small core staff team and will oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including Payroll, Debtors, Creditors, and Banking. The post holder will be responsible for Budgets, Management Accounts, Taxation, and all income streams including Grant Funding. In addition, the postholder will ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, Companies House and the Charity Commission. Key Accountabilities:
• To be responsible for the oversight of all Financial Services including risk management systems and processes within Family Gateway reporting directly to the CEO.
• The post holder will stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes and oversee all IT and data functions within the organization

• Liaise with IT provider to ensure Cyber Security integrity measures are in place and working effectively. Control and Monitor IT access via Role Permissions and Passwords.
• To Control and Monitor as the GDPR Lead for the organization, keeping up to date with ICO registration and guidance and overseeing a robust Data Breach Register, ensuring all staff are trained annually in line with company policy
• Produce accurate and timely financial management information on a monthly basis to support decision-making and to present information to the Board of Trustees, attending Board meetings as required
• Establish and maintain appropriate, robust and secure financial recording processes for purchasing and payment of items and management of petty cash, including Cash Floats, Fixed Asset Register, Banking, and Taxation including VAT.
• To produce and prepare annual budgets and cost scenarios for the Board of Trustees, CEO and SLT and to host monthly finance reviews with SLT
• To ensure timely payroll data is prepared, checked and processed prior to submission to third party provider and thereafter import to Finance system via journal entry. To oversee appropriate pension and insurance provision is in place on behalf of the company and that legal compliance is followed.
• Prepare ad hoc financial and activity information to support new project development plans as required
• To engage fully in management meetings, supervision and appraisals
• Demonstrate professionalism, tenacity and empathy in their work
• To undertake any reasonable task as requested in line with the senior nature of this role
