This is an inspiring role for someone who wants to contribute to our success by providing strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions supporting the Dementia Adventure business plan and charitable mission and objectives.

Managing a team of five across fundraising, communications, special projects and data management, the successful applicant will lead the development of partnerships and campaigns to raise funds for Dementia Adventure’s unique work to support people with dementia and their carers to have a more active and fulfilled life by getting outdoors and experiencing the benefits of nature. 

You will provide strategic leadership and direction for income generation through various fundraising disciplines and joint fundraising partnerships, ensuring the charity's diversification of funding and financial sustainability. Funding sources include major grantmakers, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, challenge events, and an individual giving campaign.

Hand in hand with leading fundraising, you will oversee the Communications team, supporting, developing and monitoring the communications strategy, associated budget, resources, systems, processes and operations. This will involve overseeing and directing a communications plan that promotes the work of Dementia Adventure to a broad range of audiences through various channels and campaigns, while also increasing online and social media presence.

Ideally, we would like the successful applicant to be able to come to the office in Essex at least once a week.

About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts and grant givers, corporates, major donors and other individuals. In addition, you should possess a strong understanding of marketing and communication principles and practices, as well as digital marketing and social media. You should also be confident in engaging audiences sensitively with real-life stories to demonstrate impact and create a compelling case for support.

Treasures Foundation provides housing and support for women recovering from addiction, trauma, and involvement with the criminal justice system. We help women rebuild their lives through safe housing, access to essential services, and programmes focused on rehabilitation and long-term recovery. We are now seeking a Full Time and/or Part Time Keyworker to join our expanding Treasures team. 

Key Responsibilities

The Keyworker will report directly to the Specialist Support Manager and will play a critical role in maintaining the effective running of Treasures Foundation’s supported housing. The core responsibilities include:

Beneficiary support

Person Specification

About the role: 

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan. 

The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team.

Main Duties/Tasks: 

You will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated employees and volunteers, fostering strong community engagement and maximising the shop’s impact. This includes encouraging and harnessing the gifts of time from volunteers, goods from donors, and income from customers. As a visible and active ambassador for Alder Hey Children’s Charity on the high street, you will ensure the shop reflects the Charity’s values and purpose in all that it does. You will also support van collections and deliveries, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient transport of donated goods, while representing the Charity with enthusiasm and professionalism. 

Income generation: 

• Work with the Shop Manager to maximise sales and profits ensuring weekly targets are met. 

• Support the team to maximise income from Gift Aid on donated products. 

• Support the team to maximise income via our online platforms. 

• Support the team with arranging van deliveries/collections daily.

• Work with the wider Charity team to promote and support fundraising activities and events. 

• Explore ways to maximise sales via events, donation drives, pop-up shops etc. 

• Cash up the till at the end of shift and ensure banking documents are completed. Investigate any discrepancies and report them to the Manager. 

• Support with ensuring the money is ready and accessible for cash collection.

• Open and close the shop at the appropriate times.

Volunteers: 

• Support and management of a team of volunteers. 

• Utilise volunteer skill sets and motivate them to deliver great customer service and perform tasks in-line with charity standards. 

• Maximise the shop’s opening hours and ensure the shop is open and managed by the shop team in the absence of the Shop Manager. 

• Help to provide and support ongoing training and development for volunteers.

The Charity retail team are currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. We are confident that by embracing a more flexible and balanced approach to work, we can continue to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment while driving growth and success for our charity. A decision will be made before the 30th September 2025 to agree the next steps, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four-day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently.

Who are we?

St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. Yateley Industries is a unique and ambitious charity which has provided employment in our factory, training, accommodation and community engagement for disabled and neurodivergent adults for over 90 years. Our mission is to create a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive.

Purpose of the role:

The primary focus of the Data Officer role is data quality. Data Officers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Helpline data through a data cleaning regime, maintaining adherence to published data standards. Data Officers will also work with Helpline Advisors to address common data errors and improve quality at point of entry. Additionally, data Officers will be involved in analysis of data for periodic statistical publications as well as ad-hoc requests and bespoke reports. Data officers will also contribute to the ongoing improvements of the Helpline’s data model and Salesforce instance.

Key responsibilities:

1. Complete data cleaning for Helpline cases in line with Helpline data standards

2. Support management to formalise data standards and contribute ideas to streamline or update the data model to ensure capture of relevant data

3. Utilise Salesforce reporting and Excel tools to extract and analyse data for statistical reports

4. Support the Data Manager to implement data model changes and basic Salesforce changes such as creating and updating fields and objects, implementing validation rules, and updating page layouts

Key responsibilities of our Learning and Engagement Officer include:

• Deliver daily programmed activities encompassing both formal and informal learning 
• Develop Learning and Engagement (L&E) activities and resources for both formal and informal learners of all ages and abilities

Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) works to reduce undernutrition globally. We enhance the effectiveness of nutrition policy and programming by improving knowledge, stimulating learning and building evidence. We are passionate about being network-driven, independent and evidence-based.

Our vision is that every individual caught up in a nutritional emergency, or suffering from malnutrition anywhere in the world, gets the most effective help possible.

Terms and Conditions 

• Type of contract: Permanent contract 

• Location: ENN’s office in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. ENN operates a hybrid model with most of our Operations Team working Mondays and Fridays from home and Tues/Weds/Thurs in the office. 

ENN will consider requests for further flexible working arrangements. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis, balancing ENN’s needs with the successful candidate’s other commitments. 

• Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. ENN also provides additional paid office closure days between Christmas and New Year. Pro-rata for part-time staff. 

• Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5% 

• Salary: circa £45,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience

• Hours of work: Part-time at 22.5 hours per week (can be worked as 3 full days or 5 shorter days)

Purpose of the Role 

The HR Manager plays a key leadership role, working on, and closely with, the management team to ensure effective HR support across the organisation. This role combines strategic HR advice with hands-on operational delivery, helping to shape a positive working culture and ensure compliance with employment law and best practice. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic HR Support 

• Advise the management team on HR strategy, policies and people matters 

• Help shape and promote a positive organisational culture and embed the organisation’s values 

• Identify and implement improvements to policies, structures, and staff processes 

• Produce quarterly HR reports and plan for the Board and Governance & People sub-committee meetings 

Compliance & Policy 

• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with UK and international employment law, as well as donor requirements 

• Keep policies up to date in collaboration with external HR support 

• Develop, monitor and maintain HR metrics and Management Information, preparing and presenting quarterly reports to Senior Management and Trustees. 

• Oversee mandatory training completion and procurement of training providers (e.g. safeguarding, data protection) 

• Act as the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Officer and Data Protection Officer (training can be provided) 

People Practices & Support 

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes for staff and consultants 

• Provide guidance to line managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and staff training and development 

• Oversee monthly payroll and pension processes

• Keep the organisation’s reward policy under review to help ensure fair and competitive compensation packages 

• Oversee that accurate and confidential HR records are maintained 

• Lead on staff engagement activities, surveys, and follow-up actions 

Learning & Development 

• Oversee professional development across the team through internal and external training 

• Work with managers to identify development needs and embed learning into performance appraisals 

Line Management & Coordination 

• Line manage the HR Advisor and Office Manager 

• Work with third-party providers such as benefit providers and Employers of Record for overseas staff to sustain cost-effective solutions whilst meeting compliance requirements 

Other Responsibilities 

• Due to relatively small size of organisation some critical roles/functions are shared between Management Team members. The HRM is the designated Safeguarding Officer and Data Protection Officer for which training can be given if required. The Management Team members rotate some other responsibilities

• Carry out other HR-related tasks as required by the management team 

Person Specification 

Essential 

• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience 

• Strong HR generalist knowledge and understanding of UK employment law 

• Experience advising senior leaders and managing employee relations issues 

• Proven experience of change management and nurturing a positive culture 

• Line management experience and ability to support a small, diverse team 

• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively 

• Commitment to the values and mission of the charity 

Desirable 

• HR experience in the charity or non-profit sector 

• Experience supporting international recruitment or working with Employer of Record services 

• Knowledge of EDI policy development

About this role

As the Counselling Coordinator your responsibilities would include: -

· Developing and managing a quality counselling service which meets the needs and diversity of Essex carers, and is delivered according to the standards set out in the BACP Ethical Framework

· Line managing and recruiting staff, placement students and qualified volunteer counsellors to deliver SFBT counselling interventions to carers face to face, virtually or on the phone

· Managing all referrals into the service, assessing them against the service criteria, referring on as appropriate, and managing the waiting list.

· Monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the service regularly, ensuring it’s both meeting the needs of carers and is being delivered according to the BACP Ethical Framework

· Reporting to Service Manager and provide monthly reports on delivery for contract reports

About you

To be successful in this role you will need -

· A relevant counselling qualification (BACP approved).

· Registration with BACP or other professional counselling body

· Working knowledge of social care and health, particularly as it relates to working with carers and adults

· Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

· Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction

· Knowledge of the challenges affecting Carers.

· Competent in use of IT (Microsoft Applications Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Power Bi), mobile telephony and social media platforms.

Strategy

• Lead on the development and delivery of an overarching fundraising strategy for Grow
