We are looking for a Product and Portfolio Manager within our Porfolio Development Team. You will have demonstrable experience in product/portfolio lifecycle management as well as a proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy. You will need significant experience of meeting new business targets and driving business growth, as well as the development of a new business pipeline.

Salary: £40,708 - £46,523 per annum

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to introduce new products and services that will support our growth and charitable impact. The role will include responsibility for meeting a new business target, through lead generation. This is an important and dynamic role that will require strategic thinking and a strongly collaborative approach. 

This role

In this role, you will:

• Manage the existing product portfolio, reviewing the existing offering in relation to market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape and the Charity's strategic goals
• Develop detailed product knowledge across the portfolio of products, leading development activity for each area alongside ongoing assessment of financial performance and product/service viability.
• Recommend and oversee product improvements, using market demand and customer and colleague feedback to identify and prioritise change.
• Working with the Chief Operating Officer and service leads to understand trends and opportunities across the portfolio and associated markets.
• Engage with expert colleagues from across the organisation to understand and support the development of their product ideas, evaluating these against internal and external factors including feasibility, expected value, and market demand.
• Financial and strategic modelling of new product options based on market demand, fit to Picker strategy, impact/income potential, strength of offering and ability to reach target audience.
• Work in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Service Delivery, service leads, and the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop marketing plans to support demand generation on a thematic basis, providing expert product knowledge, customer insight and new business leads.

• Demonstrable experiences in product/portfolio lifecycle management.
• Demonstrable experience of managing project timetables, including reviewing progress and amending plans to address changing requirements 
• Proven track record of successfully developing a cohesive portfolio strategy that supports brand integrity/growth, whilst growing individual business lines/products/services

• Experience of success in the development and qualification of a new business pipeline (including campaign management and follow-up)

To be successful in this role, you will also have;

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit to join the wider Compliance, Audit and Risk team at SIG! You will have the overall responsibility of keeping participants, residents, and staff safe. The team manages the development, monitoring, and reporting of several areas including but not limited to accidents, incidents, and near misses (AINMs), safety reviews, safeguarding, whistleblowing, complaints, policy and procedure, health and safety, internal audit, business continuity planning and data protection.

As The Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit, you are the lynchpin of the wider team, linking strategic vision with solid and accountable implementation. You will be responsible for developing the team in the broad space of compliance as well as in their own areas of specialism, ensuring that a transparent and accountable compliance framework is implemented and embedded in line with regulatory and legislative change.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At least 2 days per week in central office (Islington) and our services which are in and around London, Brighton & Hove, Kent, Havering, Bedford, Luton, Nottingham, and Liverpool.
The additional 3 days can be worked from home. You may at times be required to visit a service more than 2 times within a week.

ABOUT YOU

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Line Management and leadership throughout employee lifecycle this includes; Recruitment, Onboarding, Inductions, training, support and supervision, relations, wellbeing support, and other areas.
• Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
• Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. • Deputise for the Director as required.

Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance

• Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
• Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.
• Support services with commissioner led quality assurance framework (QAF) inspections and those registered with the CQC to maintain their portfolios and ensure they are ready for inspection at any time to retain their registrations.
• Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.

Reporting and Analysis

• Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
• Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis

Data Protection

• Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
• Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
• Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
• Proven experience in governance systems and structures which can include auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, policy, procedure, and report writing
• Experience and/or ability to coach, develop, and manage direct reports
• Background in health, social care, criminal justice, and/or supported housing systems
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
• Adequate understanding of the importance and mechanics of document control and writing policy and procedure
• Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
• Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners (known as In-Pensioners). It has a rich history and provides supported accommodation, residential and nursing care for some 300 retired soldiers. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Hospital Chelsea where we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Chelsea Pensioners Veterans’ Outreach  (CPVO ) team in a new role as a Veterans’ Outreach Officer. 

 The CPVO programme is aimed at extending an offer to older service veterans, inviting them to engage with our In Pensioners and enjoy the sense of community and comradeship that is at the heart of the Chelsea Pensioner community. While most of our programme activity is centred on the RHC estate in London, the programme seeks to expand in reach to other UK regions where there is a sizeable veteran population who might benefit from engagement with our team of Chelsea Pensioners, staff and volunteers. There are also plans to develop a digital offer.

 The Veterans’ Outreach Officer will support  the Head of Veterans’ Outreach in developing and managing the programme of activities encouraging engagement and social interaction between In Pensioners and other service veterans thereby helping to alleviate the social isolation and loneliness felt by many older veterans. Responsibilities will include promoting the programme within veterans' networks and finding innovative ways to connect with veterans; the management of themed events both at the RHC and further afield as we seek to expand nationwide. The role also involves significant data collection and analysis to inform the strategy, evaluate delivery, and identify fundraising opportunities.

About the opportunity

Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future.  The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
 

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

· Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.
 

· Manage and maintain existing funder relationships, including proactive and requested reporting to donors.
 

· Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify relevant opportunities for collaboration that promote generating income. Alongside your team, support, prepare and provide expertise on applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Working with your Fundraising Coordinators, research and drive new opportunities for multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations, sharing workload between the team.
 

· Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality, effective applications, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators. 
 

· Monitor when grants are due for renewal and proactively seek out renewal conversations, ensuring Action Tutoring has a healthy funding pipeline. 

· Work with the Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from events, ensuring an attractive range of event options across the country. Manage the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure places are secured, participants are supported and engagement is expanded.
 

· Work with  Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from individual giving, developing campaigns for driving more regular giving and building our strategies to cultivate, engage and thank individuals. 
 

· Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly. 
 

· Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.
 

· Alongside your team, prepare applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships on Salesforce and any other relevant systems.
 

· Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills. 
 

Qualifications criteria:

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).
 

· Right to work in the UK.
 

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others: 
 

· At least two years experience in fundraising (preferably within trusts and foundations fundraising).
 

· Proven track record in securing and stewarding 5+ figure partnerships.
 

· Outstanding written and verbal communicator with significant experience writing and submitting grant applications and reports.

Alzheimer’s Research UK has established a number of high profile and strategic programmes of work and a large, growing portfolio of research funded through our response mode schemes over which help us advance our work towards a cure. The successful candidate will work with the Head of the Gambling Action Lab (GAL) and the Senior Research Officer to bring together a handful of representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling-related financial harms. They will build and maintain stakeholder relationships and play a key role in facilitating group discussions with financial services representatives. This exciting role will also involve driving and promoting the work and visibility of the GAL, and planning and delivering a programme of events to promote our work.

“Empty Spaces to Homes” is a ground-breaking initiative focused on a circular buildings approach that already has a feasible proof of concept from piloting, with strong upscaling potential. The premise is simple; unlocking the potential of long term empty commercial spaces to create affordable housing for vulnerable people. As well as the social benefits of adding to affordable housing stock, the Empty Spaces to Homes approach of retrofitting existing structures – at a much lower carbon cost - offers a greener and more sustainable way to meet the housing gap, in comparison to the environmental impact of the new build construction industry. Breaking down long-standing barriers to resource-efficient renovation is essential if the UK is to play its part in meeting ambitious global decarbonisation targets.

Purpose of The role

The UK Housing Advocacy Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading advocacy efforts, shaping policies, and promoting sustainable housing solutions for affordable housing in Great Britain, particularly through our groundbreaking initiative "Empty Spaces to Homes."

As this is a new role, and is being recruited alongside the Head of Global Affairs and Advocacy, key responsibilities will include the establishment of a new function at Habitat GB.  It involves working closely with colleagues across the Habitat GB organisation and contributing to advocacy efforts across the Habitat network at global and regional levels through engagement, strategy and shared learning.  Key responsibilities also include developing communication and advocacy strategies targeting professionals and decision makers in social, environmental and housing sectors, as well as undertaking research and writing policy papers.

Flexibility   

Habitat GB is seeking to rapidly expand its activities and impact to fight poverty across the world. The Role

The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing our global advocacy efforts, influencing policy, and supporting our network of national Green Building Councils (GBCs) in their advocacy work. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing policy positions, conducting research, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and policies worldwide. The Advocacy and Engagement Manger will report to and work closely with the Global Advocacy Director.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

● Support for the Global Advocacy Director: Work closely with the Global Advocacy Director to develop and implement WorldGBC's global advocacy strategy. Assist in coordinating the organization’s advocacy efforts across different regions, ensuring alignment with overall objectives. Provide analytical support, prepare briefing materials, and manage specific projects as directed by the Global Advocacy Director. Act as a liaison between the Global Advocacy Director and other team members, stakeholders, and national GBCs to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

● Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on global and regional policy trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable building. Analyze potential impacts on the green building movement and develop strategic responses.

● Policy Development and Advocacy: Work with Global Advocacy Director to develop and articulate clear policy positions on key issues related to sustainable building and construction and lead advocacy campaigns to influence international, regional, and national policy frameworks and regulations.

● Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within WorldGBC, including programs and communications, to ensure a coordinated approach to advocacy and policy engagement.

● Support National GBCs: Provide guidance and support to national GBCs in their local advocacy efforts, helping them to navigate policy landscapes and engage effectively with policymakers.

● Communication and Representation: Represent WorldGBC at policy forums, conferences, and meetings, presenting policy positions and advocating for sustainable building practices. Prepare a range of materials, including reports, briefings, and presentations, to support advocacy objectives.

● Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the sustainability, construction, and policy-making communities, including governments, NGOs, industry associations, and private sector partners.

Skills, experience and education:

● Minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or a related role, preferably within an international context.

● Deep understanding of international climate diplomacy and national policy-making processes

● Experience managing relationships with policymakers and stakeholders and ability to lead discussions towards tangible outcomes.

● Experience in the design of built environment decarbonisation roadmaps for the public and/or private sectors and project development.

● Specific experience or interest in international work, ideally with a proven record for engaging with a geographically and culturally diverse network of stakeholders.

● Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

● Ability to work effectively in a diverse, international team environment.

● Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.

● Willingness to travel as required.

The Operations and Business Development Lead will play an important role in overseeing effective organisational service delivery and working closely with the CEO to develop the role of the charity within Surrey and beyond. The role requires overseeing delivery of key projects, managing a small team of staff and volunteers, developing long-term business plans and curating relationships with new partners and funders to ensure Include has the resilience to deliver against its mission into the future.

As OBD Lead, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working with the CEO, Finance & Data Lead, Communications & Partnerships Lead & Clinical Lead to develop and deliver Include’s core services and processes, with an eye for sustainability, impact and long-term growth.

This is a hybrid role. You will be asked to assist at events or performances, in addition to regularly attending sessions and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

• Develop, support, and improve service delivery of key activities
