We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Engagement Lead to join our team, in a new role working directly with the CEO to ensure that carers lived experience is heard and understood and that carers, including young carers across Essex, have opportunities to participate and contribute. This is a rewarding and varied role, combining direct engagement with carers alongside analysing data and communicating evidence of need to help effect real and positive change.

You will be an engaging communicator with active listening skills and the ability to interpret and apply lived experience to strategic and policy decisions and planning.  You will ideally have personal experience of unpaid caring responsibilities and may have previously facilitated service user involvement. You'll be passionate about harnessing the voice of local carers to secure improved outcomes for carers of all ages across Essex.

Action for Family Carers is a thriving charity which for over 35 years has been providing support for Adult Carers and Young Carers – people with unpaid caring responsibilities for others. We are a Carers Trust Network Partner and hold the Excellence for Carers quality mark. We provide support including information, coaching, counselling, peer support, respite care, and Young Carer clubs across Essex, working within schools, GP practices and a variety of community settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

       Coordinating participation opportunities that enable adult and young carers to influence local, regional and national policy decisions and help achieve positive change

       Harnessing and amplifying local carer voice and experience and engaging carers in service planning, delivery and review

       Identifying themes and trends and ensuring these are communicated to key stakeholders

       Monitoring and reporting on outcomes.

       You will need to be:

       An excellent communicator with empathy and active listening skills.

       Proactive, highly organised and equally at home analysing data or producing reports as in engaging with carers and senior local decision makers

       Confident in the use of IT including Microsoft 365 and CRMs (databases).

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

As a Coach Lead Worker (Landlord Liaison) you will join our team in Birmingham at an exciting time. You will be managing a caseload of homeless members and providing advice, guidance and advocacy as well as delivering an outstanding property procurement service across the private rented sector. In addition, it’s a role requiring commercial acumen and creativity as you partner with private landlords to source accommodation for our members. You will work collaboratively with partners and staff across the organisation to ensure tenants receive the support they need to sustain their homes and landlord relationships are nurtured. There is scope for development of the role and plenty of support. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own and shape it from the beginning.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and knowledge:

• Managing a caseload of homeless people and working towards case management standards
• Experience of working with homeless people and supporting them achieve a positive housing outcome
• Experience of sourcing, procuring, and allocating accommodation and making tenancies work for tenants and landlords
• Knowledge of the Birmingham (and surrounding areas) housing market and the barriers and opportunities faced by people who are homeless
• Understanding of housing law
• Developing, building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience of working in a lettings and housing procurement environment
• Showing resilience when dealing with difficult situations
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative

As Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will help shape Catch22's future growth by building influential relationships with commissioners, funders and strategic partners. • Developing and delivering a structured, agile stakeholder engagement strategy and delivery plan for Catch22.

Qualifications

You will bring to the role:

· A strong track record of building influential relationships with commissioners, funders, government departments, trusts, foundations, strategic partners and other senior stakeholders.

· Experience developing and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies that have supported organisational growth and strengthened market position.

· Exceptional influencing, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with credibility at executive, political and system-leader level, and experience aligning senior colleagues around a strategic approach to stakeholder engagement.

· Strong understanding of public sector commissioning, procurement and grant funding, including local government, integrated care systems and the evolving devolution landscape.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence diverse audiences and translate complex information into clear, compelling messages.

· Experience of stakeholder mapping, engagement planning and measuring relationship effectiveness.

· Digitally confident and data-driven, with experience using CRM systems and market intelligence tools to inform decision-making.

Purpose of the role:

The Support Services Manager position will be based at Bristol and the primary purpose will be to oversee Unseen’s frontline team to ensure that the organisation is fulfilling our obligations under the Victim Care contract by ensuring that potential victims of trafficking are safely accommodated and that they are supported to access the services needed in order to begin the process of recovery from their experiences. 

Key responsibilities and tasks:

Insight and Evidence
· Represent the voice of our network and the end-users they support in our planning, evaluations and decision-making
· Lead on network insights gathering, data analysis and visualisation, and interpreting findings into conclusions and recommendations, using for example, surveys, CRM data, Network Ambassador online meetings and Network Insights Panel consultations
· Proactively contribute to improvements in the customer journey for network partners – from registration through to fulfilment
· Support our collaborative ways of working with the VCSE sector and other infrastructure organisations to meet immediate need, deepen impact and support longer-term solutions
· Help scope, test and implement CRM enhancements to improve how we gather insights and measure impact
· Source, analyse and share relevant external social research and sector intelligence to help ensure organisational decisions and programmes are also informed by external insights, emerging trends and best practices

Network Engagement
· Develop and implement strategies to increase network engagement including visits, volunteering, webinars and spokesperson activities, that inspire our network to tell the story of our impact together
· Lead on network recruitment and retention

BrainWaves Research is a charity working to improve young people’s mental health and wellbeing through research, education and collaboration.

We bring together scientists, educators, schools and young people to build a stronger understanding of adolescent mental health and translate evidence into practical support. Our work combines a major longitudinal research study with evidence-based educational resources for schools.

BrainWaves is a long-term collaboration involving the University of Oxford, Swansea University and The Day News & Media. We are entering an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a proactive and versatile Fundraising Manager to help secure the sustainable income needed to achieve our ambitions.

The opportunity

You will lead the day-to-day delivery of fundraising across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving, developing new opportunities as well as managing and growing existing relationships.

The role may particularly suit someone with strong experience in one area – most likely trusts and foundations or high-value giving – who is ready to broaden their expertise across a mixed portfolio.

You will work particularly closely with our fractional Fundraising Director, who will provide strategic direction and support, as well as experienced specialists in major gifts and events, senior volunteers and colleagues across BrainWaves.

This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy. We are looking for someone proactive, ambitious and organised who enjoys turning strategy into action, building relationships, improving systems and hitting targets. Above all, you will be passionate about our mission to improve young people’s mental health.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising and income growth

• Work with the Fundraising Director and COO to deliver BrainWaves’ fundraising strategy and annual income plan.

• Manage and grow a pipeline across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporates and individual giving.

• Research and develop new prospects, partnerships and sustainable income opportunities.

• Prepare compelling cases for support, grant applications, proposals, presentations and donor communications.

• Take ownership of agreed income targets, deadlines and activity plans, monitoring performance and forecasting income.

• Manage funder and supporter relationships from initial approach through to reporting and stewardship.

Major donors, corporates and supporters

• Work with the Fundraising Director, trustees, senior volunteers and specialist advisers to identify, cultivate and steward high-value prospects.

• Build relationships with companies whose values and interests align with BrainWaves and develop appropriate partnership opportunities.

• Help develop our individual-giving programme, including appeals, regular giving and supporter journeys.

• Manage and improve our use of JustGiving and other digital fundraising platforms.

• Support donor and cultivation events, including prospect identification, communications and follow-up.

CRM, data and fundraising operations

• Take day-to-day ownership of BrainWaves’ CRM, ensuring supporter, prospect, donation and relationship records are accurate and up to date.

• Improve how the CRM is used for pipeline management, reporting, segmentation, stewardship and task management.

• Establish clear and consistent processes for recording and using fundraising information.

• Produce regular pipeline, income and forecasting reports and use data to identify opportunities, gaps and risks.

• Ensure information from JustGiving and other platforms is captured and followed up appropriately.

• Maintain high standards of data protection, fundraising compliance and data quality.

Collaborative working

• Work closely with the Fundraising Director and experienced freelance specialists in fundraising strategy, major gifts and events.

• Collaborate with colleagues across communications, research and operations to develop strong fundraising propositions and materials.

• Support trustees and senior volunteers in their fundraising activity.

• Attend occasional meetings and events, primarily in Oxford and London.

About you

You will be a confident and proactive fundraiser with strong experience in at least one income stream and an appetite to broaden your expertise.

You will be a persuasive communicator and excellent relationship builder, comfortable managing multiple prospects, deadlines and priorities. Following a restructure of the school’s development department, St Mary’s Music School, Edinburgh, is looking to appoint a self-motivated and dynamic fundraiser to help secure and sustain significant grants from trusts and foundations.

The postholder will develop high quality applications, bids and reports for a diverse range of audiences.
The School is keen to appoint someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional relationship-management skills, who will work to develop and deliver a strategy to grow sustainable income from grants and foundations over time.

As Senior Bids and Proposals Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for securing public sector contracts and grant funding that enable Catch22 to deliver life-changing services. Your leadership will help retain vital services, win new opportunities, and drive sustainable growth and social impact.

As part of the Business Development leadership team, you will inspire excellence across our bidding function, building capability, driving continuous improvement, and supporting your team to develop winning bids and proposals that deliver Catch22's mission.

· Overseeing Catch22's bidding function, securing public sector contracts and grant funding that sustain and grow our services.

· Leading and developing Bid & Proposal Managers, driving excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced team leader who combines high expectations with a supportive, inclusive culture where people can thrive. You will bring:

· Recent experience managing a team within a business development or income generation environment.

· At least three years' end-to-end bid management experience, with a track record securing large-scale (>£1-million) public sector contracts and grant funding.

· Strong understanding of public sector procurement, commissioning processes and the grant funding landscape.

· Strong commercial acumen, with experience in service design, financial and volumes modelling, and translating operational expertise into competitive, deliverable solutions.

· Strong project management skills, supported by a degree or project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2), or equivalent professional experience.

· Strong bid governance and quality assurance experience, with the ability to develop, review and improve high-scoring responses against specifications and evaluation criteria.

· Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including securing internal senior buy-in and developing external partnerships that strengthen bid outcomes.

· Knowledge of one or more of Catch22's core service areas.

· Willingness to travel UK-wide, as required.

The Friendly Trust is a Wales-based registered charity providing specialist information, advice, and financial administration for disabled people and other vulnerable adults, and for families planning for the future of someone who may lack capacity. Purpose of the Role

Trust Officers play a key role in delivering The Friendly Trust's services. 

The postholder will manage an allocated caseload, providing practical support, advice and financial administration to Service Users and their families. 

The role combines person-centred casework with welfare benefits, financial management, advocacy and multi-agency working. Trust Officers develop professional relationships with Service Users and use their knowledge, judgement and problem-solving skills to ensure that people's financial affairs are managed appropriately while promoting choice, independence and individual rights. 

Where a person may lack capacity to make a particular financial decision, the Trust Officer will ensure that their work reflects the principles and requirements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and any other relevant legal authority under which The Friendly Trust is acting. 

Key Responsibilities

Service User Support and Casework 

• Manage an allocated caseload of Service Users, taking responsibility for progressing work and responding appropriately to changing circumstances. 

• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with Service Users, recognising their individual wishes, communication needs, abilities and circumstances. 

• Provide clear and accessible information, advice and practical support to Service Users, carers and family members on matters including welfare benefits, financial management, trusts and related issues. 

• Support Service Users to understand and participate in decisions about their finances wherever possible. 

• Promote choice, independence and control while ensuring that appropriate safeguards are maintained. 

• Meet with and visit Service Users and their families as required, including home visits and meetings with other professionals. 

• Identify concerns affecting a Service User's financial or wider wellbeing and take appropriate action, including raising safeguarding concerns where necessary. 

Welfare Benefits 

• Support Service Users to identify and access welfare benefits to which they may be entitled. 

• Assist with benefit claims, reviews and related correspondence. 

• Liaise with the Department for Work and Pensions, local authorities and other relevant organisations. 

• Identify apparent errors, underpayments or adverse benefit decisions and take appropriate action to resolve or challenge them.

Financial Administration and Appointeeship 

• Manage Service Users' day-to-day financial affairs where The Friendly Trust has been authorised to do so. 

• Act on behalf of The Friendly Trust in carrying out its responsibilities as a DWP Corporate Appointee where applicable. 

• Ensure that benefits and other income received on behalf of Service Users are used appropriately and in their interests. 

• Work with Service Users to create, implement and regularly review individual money plans and budgets. 

• Monitor income, expenditure, account balances and financial commitments. 

• Arrange payments and other financial transactions in accordance with organisational procedures and the authority under which The Friendly Trust is acting. 

• Identify and respond appropriately to changes in a Service User's financial circumstances. 

• Take reasonable steps to protect Service Users from financial abuse, exploitation and avoidable financial loss. 

• Ensure that financial decisions are properly authorised, recorded and capable of being accounted for. 

Mental Capacity and Decision-Making 

• Apply the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in relevant aspects of their work. 

• Recognise that capacity is decision-specific and should not be assumed solely because of a person's disability, diagnosis or circumstances. 

• Support Service Users to make their own decisions wherever they are able to do so. 

• Where a person lacks capacity for a particular financial decision, ensure that actions are taken in accordance with the appropriate legal authority and best-interests requirements.

Record Keeping and Compliance 

• Maintain accurate, clear, up-to-date and timely case records. 

• Use The Friendly Trust's case management and financial recording systems, including CasparGov, to record actions, decisions, financial information and outcomes.

Hybrid working

Following successful completion of probation, Trust Officers are able to work on a flexible hybrid basis, subject to the requirements of the service. 

Trust Officers are normally required to attend the Cardiff office for 2 x  two-hour duty sessions each week. 

Outside these duty sessions, staff have considerable flexibility regarding where they work, subject to Service User visits, meetings, training, team requirements and other operational needs.
