Finance Officer

Prospectus is pleased to be collaborating with a UK charity founded by families who lost loved ones to gambling-related suicide to recruit for a Finance Officer to join them on permanent contract 4 or 5 days per week (28-35 hours). The charity operates as a fully remote working organisation however there will be occasional UK travel.

The Finance Officer will support the charity with an in-house accounting function and drafting financial reports to funders. The charity is in receipt of new significant grants and are looking for a motivated individual with an eye for detail and accuracy to join their growing staff team. They need a new member of staff to support processing regular financial transactions of the charity and its trading subsidiary and help the Finance Manager to ensure the organisation is able to monitor its financial risk and compliant with financial procedures.

The successful candidate will bring finance experience having worked in a similar role, ideally from within the charity sector. You will bring experience of financial data inputting including expenses, uploading invoices and working with finance record keeping systems. You will have excellent attention to detail with a willingness to learn and develop. Whilst not essential, it could also be beneficial to be part-qualified or have accountancy training, possibly with some experience or interest in management reporting.
