Job description

Location: Central London, hybrid (3 days per week in office)
Contract: Temporary, until December 2026
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £21.92 per hour (+ £2.65 holiday pay) (circa £40,000 salaried equivalent)
Start Date: ASAP

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, a prestigious higher education institution, in their search for a temporary Student Wellbeing Advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential advice and guidance on a range of student wellbeing matters
  • Conduct triage conversations to assess needs and identify appropriate support pathways
  • Signpost and refer students to internal and external support services
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with established protocols
  • Advise on disability support and reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of case activity
  • Work collaboratively with academic teams and professional services
  • Contribute to service improvements, reporting and development of guidance materials

Key Requirements:

  • Recent, relevant experience in a similar student-facing role within a higher education organisation.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with the capability to work both independently and in a team.
