It’s an exciting time join the Design Museum’s senior leadership team. We have recently set out our vision and five-year strategy that focuses on how we can realise the transformative potential of design. As part of the dynamic senior leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the board and CEO/Director to drive change across the organization. This role will be responsible for leading financial strategy, leading strategic thinking about future income generation, and enhancing the organisation’s financial and operational stability to enable the museum to realise its ambitions. Leading the Finance and People teams this role has the key levers to shape the future of the museum.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a leadership role;
- Experience at Board level and ability to work in collaboration with Trustees and colleagues;
- Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls

The Role
The Director of Finance and Operations is a key position within this nascent and highly exciting charity. - Lead on the annual audit process with external auditors, ensuring all information is provided on time, to plan and to quality, maintaining unqualified audit reports
- Business partner with non-finance stakeholders to help assess the viability of projects, including focusing on financial aspects
- Develop and maintain financial reporting templates for project management and oversight
- Assist with the development and maintenance of organisational and project KPI processes and systems
- Manage JFF’s IT and facilities functions and relationships with other supplier contracts
- Assist in the collation of board reporting on relevant matters, working to the CEO and COO
About You
A qualified finance professional, with significant post-qualified experience at senior finance level
Have a thorough understanding of best-in-class systems implementation and use (with a particular interest in automation and utilising technology for effectiveness)
Be an adept business partner to non-finance stakeholders at all levels including executive teams.
Have an interest in one or both of the key areas of grant giving for the charity.
Be confident working in a small team environment, being hands-on where required.

This varied front-line role will provide a comprehensive service to our customers and be focused on the relationship between the customer, Thrive, our partners and stakeholders.
Other Responsibilities:
- Carrying out estate inspections to check cleaning, grounds maintenance, identify repairs and hazards such as fly tipping or bulky waste to ensure our Communal Area Standards are met.

- Full Driving Licence and use of a vehicle.

The Role
GWH is looking to recruit a Head of Financial Services who would have overall management of the Financial Services team as well as contractual management of the outsourced procurement and payroll functions and relationship management of NHS Shared Business Services.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide high-level support and advice on all financial accounting matters. This includes leading on the production of the annual accounts and external financial reporting, treasury management, short- and medium-term strategic financial planning and capital planning, including all aspects of our PFI.
- Deliver all financial accounting requirements in a professional and efficient manner and to high standards.
- Lead on financial governance, audit and counter fraud issues including the maintenance and monitoring of Standing Financial Instructions and other financial policies.
- Lead the financial element of the Trust Capital Programme ensuring effective prioritisation, monitoring and escalation systems are in place to address the needs of the organisation.
- Drive continual improvement in the financial services team and across the finance department, making best use of systems, robotic process automation and our resources to provide an efficient, value-add service to the organisation.
- Lead the strategic finance input to our PFI exit programme, which will involve managing considerable uncertainty around scenario planning for the various services in the current contract.
About you:
To succeed in this role you will:
- Be a qualified Accountant with experience, confidence and ambition to lead in all aspects of Financial Services and have significant experience of working in a medium to large and complex NHS organisation.
- Be a strong leader, able to communicate with your peers and team members and have resilience to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands of the NHS and the wider system.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience of leading and engaging finance and other corporate functions to deliver a mature rounded service.

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate Health Advocate to join our team. This role focuses on promoting and delivering a training package to general practice teams, building relationships with local practices, and providing specialist support to patients affected by domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and deliver in-house training on domestic abuse to general practice teams.
- Provide ongoing advice and support to practice teams.
- Encourage health professionals to inquire about patient's abuse experiences and ensure proper response, recording, safety checks, and referrals.

As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for constructing and maintaining the Enterprise Data Platform, including data ingestion pipelines and data models. Working closely with colleagues in the Information Team and across the organisation, you will create and implement data solutions to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and automation of processes, thereby realising the value of data.

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) works to encourage debate, drive collaboration, and build partnerships across academia and industry that increase the probability of transforming discoveries from the lab bench into treatments for people living with dementia. Since funding their first project in 1998, the charity has now committed over £171 million of funding for ground-breaking dementia research.
As part of the ARUK Leadership Team, the Head of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in leading the charity to accelerate progress towards a cure. Working closely with the senior stakeholders across ARUK, the post-holder will lead the organisation’s philanthropy work by defining and implementing the team’s strategy and ensuring that these plans support the charity’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
The Head of Philanthropy will lead a team of approximately 8-10 people. The role holder will also personally lead on relationships with a small group of ARUK’s most generous supporters, and prospective supporters, across Philanthropy audiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a philanthropy team to deliver significant income growth, as well as demonstrable knowledge and experience of major gift fundraising. They will have a background in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and a proven track record in establishing, monitoring, and achieving ambitious fundraising targets.
