This role will develop existing relationships with high-net-worth donors, as well as developing a broader major donor product offering including a patron’s programme and harnessing the potential of the hospital’s clinical networks. Key duties include:
- Developing relationships with new and existing High Net Worth Individuals to understand their motivations and desires to advance care for heart and lung patients.

Bookmark began life just over five years ago with a clear mission; they want every child to read. Currently more than one in four children are leaving primary school unable to read well. About the role
As the Senior Philanthropy Lead at Bookmark, you will work with the Head of Fundraising to manage and grow our philanthropy portfolio within the wider strategy. You will lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both the Philanthropy Manager and Senior Fundraising Executive. Your role will involve proactively researching and identifying new potential Bookmark major donors and working with trustees, staff, and the Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions.
You will own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. About you
To be successful in this role, you must have a successful track record in high-value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts to meet or exceed targets. You must have experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development, and managing their performance to achieve results. Ideally, you will have experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets and managing or working with a fundraising board or high-value committee. You should have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate and experience writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience.

This is a new role for the organisation, deliberately established to lead a step change in how Plan International holistically considers its supporters and how different interactions with the organisation can influence support.
As Head of Supporter Marketing & Public Fundraising you will be responsible for leading the teams that focus on how Plan International attracts, retains and stewards its supporters, delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns that grow public fundraising income and impact.
Plan International UK currently benefits from c.66,000 sponsors, c.42,000 campaigners and a wealth of regular supporters. You’ll lead a team of 22 (3 direct reports) to identify and think about the potential crossover of these audiences, developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that maximise the potential for their support, ultimately growing income and supporter lifetime value.
Culture change and team leadership will be critical to the position and success of this team, with the wider Fundraising & Supporter Engagement Directorate imminently launching its new strategy. As a senior leader within the directorate you will champion and inspire your direct reports and wider team to deliver against this.
By adopting a whole funnel approach you will lead with a growth marketing mindset, considering the bigger picture and marketing campaigns needed to increase brand awareness and draw in new audiences, alongside the multi product approach required to convert them into new supporters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Supporter Marketing and Mass Fundraising team, establishing an agile/solutions-focused culture and growth mindset that works collaboratively to establish great supporter experiences and maximises opportunities to grow income/increase support.
- Oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of acquisition and retention across multiple channels including digital, direct mail, events and face to face – tailoring communication and engagement strategies as necessary.
- Lead the team to develop and deliver innovative marketing strategies that attract, retain and inspire supporters – raising funds and increasing brand awareness accordingly by identifying opportunities and optimisations across the entire marketing funnel and customer journey.
- Manage the income/expenditure budgets effectively, allocating resources optimally to achieve maximum growth and ROI.
- Act as an effective senior leader within the wider directorate and collaborate cross-organisationally with senior colleagues in Plan International UK to solve problems, innovate and deliver on shared objectives.
Person Specification:
- Considerable experience leading an individual giving/marketing/digital fundraising function, demonstrating success and a results-orientated approach.
- Established team leader, able to build and develop high performing teams and motivate them to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Experienced in managing complex multi-product supporter journeys, maximising ROI by ensuring resource is invested effectively across multiple campaigns and different audience segments.
- Proven expertise of managing multi-million pound marketing budgets and effective allocation of resources.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to generate vital income for their work in making a society in which people are safer and feel safer. This will be achieved through sales of Suzy Lamplugh Trust products, including training courses, consultancy exercises, web-based provisions, and resources to reach income and expenditure targets. The role will be required to work alongside key colleagues and teams to develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy for Suzy Lamplugh Trust products, as well as look to continuously improve and enhance products and services.
Candidates should have a broad understanding of the role corporate partnerships play in advancing strategic objectives of charities, and in particular demonstrate excellent sales and business development skills around products and offers. They are looking for someone creative, proactive, and collaborative who can take their training and consultancy packages to new audiences and really extend the impact of the charity's work. The postholder will be required to liaise with senior leaders and the wider commercial team on the progress of sales against budget and contribute to addressing challenges in a solution-oriented manner, while providing analysis of sales leads, and income and expenditure forecasts.

Responsibilities:
Product and Project Management

Supporter Care and Stewardship

- To test and optimise supporter journeys to maximise remittance, average gift and retention, taking recommendations forward to provide the best possible supporter experience and ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.
Marketing and Digital
- To work with the fundraising products manager, internal teams and the community & events marketing team to develop effective marketing activity.
- To help develop approaches and assets, such as content and resources, for products in your care to drive engagement from supporters, remittance and average gift, across a range of channels.
- To work with digital engagement and the community & events marketing team to monitor and report on performance, including the most effective channels, creative and audiences, to help ensure investment is maximised.
