About the role:

Dennis Handfield House is part of the Camden adult pathway and is a 39 bed service for males and females. There is a staff team of 5 Complex Needs Worker, Specialist Complex Needs Worker, Day Concierge and Night Team, we also have a Work and Learnings Worker and Psychotherapist shared across SHP.

This is a high-impact role, designed to support individuals with multiple and complex needs, including mental and physical health challenges, substance use, and a history of offending. You will support and empower our clients as they move from crisis towards stability, independence, and meaningful engagement in the community.

As a Project Worker, you will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of some of the most marginalised people in our society. You will play a vital role in helping clients sustain accommodation, access services, and develop the skills and confidence needed to take control of their lives. You will work in close partnership with external agencies and professionals to deliver coordinated support, while also playing a key part in preventing homelessness and promoting long-term inclusion. About you:

• A good understanding of substance use is essential and an awareness of harm minimisation strategies and an understanding of a Strengths and Recovery model is desirable; a good understanding of the Cycle of Change.
• An understanding of the principles of risk and needs assessment, planning, goal setting, and reviewing.
• The sensitivity and flexibility to find ways to work with clients who may have a low level of engagement with the service.
• A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to do welfare benefit, rent and petty cash calculations, write letters, and analyse and extrapolate from written information.

● To support the Custom House and Canning Town community to grow and develop, working with them to build their sense of belonging, community pride and spirit.

No day is the same with the variety of responsibilities as a Learning and Development Officer at SSAFA. We’re looking for skilled, dedicated and passionate staff to join us at our Sheffield Family Residential Service.

Within this role, a passion for providing outstanding care for children and displaying a positive attitude is required.  We work with families who have previously struggled with substance use therefore promoting a trusting, positive relationship is important within the role. You will be working in an on-site nursery within the residential setting where we have both a 0–2-year-old room and an over 2-year old’s room which the children attend.

The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily access by multiple bus routes.

  How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

About The Role

The London Wetland Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join to the team.  This role will help drive visitation to London Wetland Centre, raise brand awareness and increase engagement across social media platforms.

The role will focus on creating engaging content, delivering PR, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver agreed marketing and communications activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Senior Visitor Marketing Manager to create multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive visitation to London Wetland Centre and enhance WWT brand awareness.

The impact you will have

Leading Connection Support’s fundraising activities, you will generate income from existing sources and new income streams, and inspire funders, donors and local companies to support our work. Providing strategic direction combined with a hands-on role, you will lead on funding applications, plan and deliver campaigns and events, and develop lasting relationships with our supporters.

The Fundraising Manager is expected to be an integral part of the leadership team to manage the delivery of the Fundraising strategy.

• To work with the Fundraising Team to develop and deliver Halton Haven Hospice’s community engagement.  To achieve this by identifying, prospecting, supporting and facilitating the development of volunteer networks, individuals, businesses and fundraising groups across the Hospice’s area.
• To raise funds to meet agreed targets and objectives and be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new support as well as maintaining and developing existing support from the community.
• Take responsibility for the line management of the Fundraising Team. and support and coach the development of the Fundraising Team.
• Liaise with all relevant colleagues to ensure that events and campaigns are promoted throughout the community.  To include providing content and gathering stories for web pages, social media and other communications as well as online resources for those interested in fundraising for the Hospice.
• To promote Halton Haven Hospice by organising and/or delivering talks to local community groups, schools and nurseries, businesses and other organisations.
• Record and process donations, correspondence and permissions on the database in accordance with the requirements of GDPR.  Acknowledge support and arrange cheque presentations; liaising with other departments as appropriate.
• The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload, work under their own initiative and provide feedback producing reports and event evaluations both verbally and in writing as required.
• To undertake any other duties which may reasonably fall within the role of the post which will include attending events in the evening and at weekends.

Community Fundraising Manager
Location: This role is based at our Headquarters in Lincoln LN4 2GW, with the option of hybrid working after a probationary period, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Salary: £34,000 - £42,000 depending on experience

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) provides lifesaving critical care to the communities of Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire, funded by public donations. If somebody is involved in a serious incident or suddenly taken ill, speed and time are of the essence.
