Chalk Farm Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is looking for a competent leader with a passion for social housing to manage our housing organisation.

Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. As estate manager, your main duties will be to:

1. Give the TMO the strategy it needs to deliver an excellent housing service for residents.

3. Ensure that the TMO complies with the Management Agreement signed with Camden Council, all applicable legislation, and current best practice.

4. Provide effective day-to-day leadership, management and supervision of staff.

5. Uphold a service culture which puts residents’ satisfaction at the heart of delivery. 

6. Ensure the effective delivery of the TMO’s housing management functions.

7. Work in partnership with the committee to deliver continuous improvement and good value across all TMO managed and contracted services.

This could be you if you have:

• 4 years+ experience of managing staff, and at least 2 years experience of reporting to a board;

• good knowledge of housing law or current issues relating to social housing;

• experience in procuring contracts and managing contractors;

• a proactive, can-do attitude, and an ability to motivate a team;

• excellent numerical and IT literacy, including a record of preparing and scrutinising budgets;

• Either a Level 4 Certificate in Housing, or an undergraduate degree (2:1 or above), and are prepared to enrol in the 1 year online Level 4 course by the Chartered Institute for Housing. 

The TMO is prepared to fund the Level 4 course, and to support a bright manager with a successful track record of delivery to transition into social housing.

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

You will have strong analytical skills, including a track record of qualitative and quantitative research. The role

About TASO

The Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) is an affiliate What Works Centre, and part of the UK Government’s What Works Movement. Our vision is to eliminate equality gaps in higher education (HE). Our mission is to improve lives through evidence-informed practice.

TASO was set up in 2019 and became an independent charity in April 2021. Our work focuses on the generation, synthesis and dissemination of high-quality evidence about effective practice in widening participation and student outcomes. We primarily focus on developing and disseminating causal evidence. 

The Role

The Head of Communications and Engagement will lead TASO’s communications and engagement work plan to raise the profile of the organisation. They will also lead on TASO’s evidence mobilisation work plan, working with the Chief Executive, to ensure TASO’s research and evaluation outputs are effectively disseminated. 

This will involve ensuring a strategic approach to all communications activities, leading on the delivery of external-facing materials and publications, overseeing a vibrant social media presence and events programme. The role will have overall responsibility for a website redevelopment project over the next year. 

• Ensure a strategic and effective approach to communications, dissemination and stakeholder engagement.

• Lead on the design, branding and dissemination of innovative and engaging communications – both print and online, including oversight of the editorial and publication process for all TASO research reports and resources. 

• Lead on TASO’s evidence mobilisation plan, working with the Chief Executive and Research and Evaluation Team to ensure research outputs are effectively disseminated and achieve impact.

• Support the Chief Executive on delivering TASO’s policy aims. Lead on engagement with and monitoring of Westminster activities (e.g. select committees, reports, consultations) and liaise with key communications and policy stakeholders in the Department for Education, Office for Students and other relevant bodies.

• Take overall responsibility for TASO’s online and social media presence. This will involve overseeing a critical website redevelopment project over the next year and also includes oversight of the creation, upkeep and management of digital channels and content.

• Lead on TASO’s media relations, producing high quality press releases and news stories for the website, liaising with journalists, as appropriate.

• Lead on the delivery of a programme of stakeholder engagement events for a wide range of audiences. The events will range from small training sessions to larger events including publication launches and an annual conference.

• Provide line management for communications staff who will support all activities – including two direct reports and overseeing a team of three. 

• Undertake projects and duties as required or requested by the Chief Executive or broader team.

The maternity cover will continue to work closely with the senior team to finalise the engagement strategy and implement from 2025. The maternity cover will lead our Engagement & Marketing team to drive awareness and understanding of the importance of urban trees, deepening our connections with urban communities, growing our communications reach to engage target audiences, and boosting our Individual Giving programmes linked to regular giving, payroll giving and legacies.

The successful candidate will be a proven community engagement professional with senior-level marketing experience, a demonstrable track record of team leadership and experience of developing and delivering against strategic objectives. You will be credible and comfortable operating at senior levels with third sector stakeholders as well as grassroots communities.

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive Officer. You will provide leadership of the organisation and be the lead advocate for the charity with the government, the media, senior stakeholders, supporters and other external partners. About Unlocked

Unlocked Graduates exists to break cycles of reoffending, with particular focus on breaking the link between disadvantage and reoffending. Currently prison is not a place which successfully does this: the average prisoner has 16 previous convictions and 48 percent of prisoners reoffend within a year of release. Unlocked Graduates exists to fix this problem. Our mission is to break cycles of re-offending by developing outstanding individuals to lead rehabilitation in prisons and throughout society.

 About the role

This is a phenomenally interesting role as it offers the opportunity to radically reimagine what incredible training can look like for a singularly powerful role: the prison officer is the only professional who reaches every single prisoner including the most vulnerable and challenging. They set the culture on the landings and have the power to create a safe and secure environment that is focused on rehabilitation. For this reason, at the heart of Unlocked is a highly effective training provision developing the leaders our prison service needs. It is this area that you will be responsible for.

Evidence guides everything we do here at Unlocked. It’s the foundation upon which our award-winning leadership development training programme is based on. We’re looking for a Head of Curriculum with a deep passion for best practice pedagogy, curriculum and assessment to help us continue to develop our participants into transformative prison officers and extraordinary future leaders. You will use your deep understanding of pedagogical theory and an uncompromising enthusiasm for how people learn to oversee an entire two-year programme of study, from initial residential training all the way through to ongoing professional development. 

Our team has worked hard to craft an outstanding training programme for our participants. Our practice-based curriculum and pedagogy is built on the work of Doug Lemov, and the knowledge aspects of the curriculum are embedded in theories of explicit teaching rather than discovery learning for novice practitioners, as per the work of E.D. Hirsch. These theories will be therefore essential understanding for anyone taking on the role. 

Positioned as pioneers in the prison sector, we are proud to have built a strong reputation for developing quality training for a frontline public sector role.  Notably, elements of our training have been integrated into His Majety’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) training of all new staff, and various other countries and related sectors have reached out for us to share our training expertise too. As the Head of Curriculum, you will hold a pivotal role, uniquely positioned to directly influence and create proof points for change across the whole service. 

You do not need prior knowledge of prisons or prison officer training to successfully take on this role, but you do need to be excited by our mission to develop outstanding leaders to break cycles of reoffending in prison. You will be supported by current and former prison service staff and have access to all the information and resources you require to build your knowledge-base quickly. Our ideal candidate will be somebody who is excited by what it is possible to achieve in this sector; who wants to take our already industry-leading training and make it even better.
