Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Fundraising (Philanthropy and Partnerships) is a senior, hands-on role responsible for developing high-value fundraising to complement the Charity’s successful community fundraising and events programme. The role will lead the growth of philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and trust income, working closely with Trustees, NHS colleagues, and the fundraising team.

The position is a dual role. You’ll join as one of three dedicated Youth Workers and will lead on a portion of Free to Be Kids’ year-round follow-on support for vulnerable young people who we have already engaged via our Thrive Outside residentials. Crucially, a core aspect of the role will be leading an average of 8-10 of our residential projects across each year - working on the ground with the children, leading the volunteers, and helping make the projects special, safe, and transformative for vulnerable young people, many of whom have complex needs. You’ll be joining a small staff team of 9, supplemented by a vibrant and committed group of volunteers.

Attendance at approximately 8-10 five-six night residential projects per year outside London is a core component of this role. A full driving licence is not required but may be an advantage.

On offer to the right candidate:

Salary: Circa £29,000-£32,000, dependent on experience.

Hours: Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week. Essential attendance on at c.8-10 residential projects a year.

Leave: 25 days per year, plus bank holidays and up to 13 additional pre-set discretionary reward days in September and during the Christmas period.

Other benefits: 4% employer pension contribution paid on full base salary, rising by 1% per year of service, up to a maximum of 7%, hybrid working, office with great transport links, flexible working (outside core hours), employee reward scheme, a tight-knit effective team with great morale.

Based: Hybrid – our small office in Waterloo, London. Hybrid working is well established with the majority of the team splitting time around 50:50 between the office and home.

Who we’re looking for:

Our next Youth Work hero. You'll be fun, active, energised, resilient, and experienced in work with young people with complex needs, and looking to join an organisation you can believe in and who in return will believe and invest in you.

You’ll have multi years’ experience working alongside young people who might struggle in other settings and will be used to dealing with a range of behaviours and complex support needs, ideally including mental health support needs,with a good understanding of safeguarding. A basic level of comfortableness in the outdoors, resilience to keep going with a smile when it's wet outside, and the silliness to be the first to jump into the lake will see you in good stead for this role.

You’ll have the flexibility to work away from home on up to 10 week-long residential projects per year. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of leading projects for children – whether residential or non-residential. Experience of working on or leading residentials projects themselves is not required but may be an advantage.

We are a small, vibrant, fun and friendly staff team of 9, growing to 11 when these 2 Youth Worker vacancies are filled, supported by a committed volunteer base of around 200.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a newly created position which is a reflection of our dedication to ensure the highest standards of quality and continuous improvement across our adoption services.

The Adoption Quality and Development Lead plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality adoption and adoption support services. The post holder will lead on quality assurance activities, policy development, complaints investigations, and specific projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to continuous improvement. They will be one of PACT’s agency decision makers. They will also manage projects such as the birth relatives project and support digital and training initiatives. The role requires collaboration across teams, liaison with external agencies, and occasional cover for Team Managers.

We are looking for a qualified and registered social worker with substantial post-qualification experience in adoption and children’s services, including quality assurance and inspection preparation. The post holder will lead & deliver public-facing campaigns that build support for nature recovery and shift local and regional decisions. That includes creating campaign moments and public actions through workshops, petitions, creative stunts, digital mobilisation and days of action alongside delivering campaigning workshops to young people and engaging communities of all ages.

You’ll also mobilise people for action, recruiting and supporting activists, volunteers and community leaders across Suffolk. You’ll develop local campaign groups and activist networks, provide training and mentoring and help nurture an inclusive activist culture rooted in equity, diversity and wellbeing. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The starting salary will be between £31,000 and £35,000 per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

Purpose of the Head of Development and Partnerships role:

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Development and Partnerships to lead and grow our fundraising activity at a pivotal time for the organisation. As a national museum and registered charity, we rely on successful fundraising to support our day-to-day operations as well as major capital and development programmes that enable us to share the RAF story with current and future generations.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources and working closely with the CEO, you will develop and deliver an ambitious fundraising strategy covering both revenue and capital income. You will lead a skilled Development team and personally cultivate and secure significant gifts. • Educated to first degree level or equivalent experience

You will lead by example and ensure that employees, volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Running the department commercially, including display and merchandising, stock management and generation, maintaining shop standards, layout of store and opening and closing of store. 

• Supporting the management team in delivering ambitious sales targets whilst maintaining shop standards, commerciality and compliance. 
• Assuming Duty Manager responsibility in the absence of the store management team.
• Opening and closing the store if required as duty manager and responding to alarm call-outs as a listed key holder if required.
• Working a flexible shift pattern to reflect the business needs including weekends and pre-retailing hours. 
• Ensuring the department is presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and attractive window displays. 
• Ensuring that all charity policies, shop standards and operations procedures are communicated effectively to all retail assistants and volunteers and are maintained and followed consistently. 
• Line managing the Retail Assistants ensuring you develop and retain talent by conducting regular performance development reviews, implementing action plans, training, and supporting personal development and growth.
• Taking on leadership of employees across the whole store when acting as Duty Manager.
• Support in managing the sales and profit of the Superstore and where possible exceeding agreed targets across categories (Donated stock, cash, benchmark gift aid, average selling price, sell through, stock processing).
• Ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes. 
• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters. 

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential or have experience in a similar role at a similar level Experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.
• Experience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development. 
• Previous retail experience in the charity sector or commercial sector is desirable.
• To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with good time management skills. 
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. 
• Demonstrably strong planning, guiding and motivation skills to successfully achieve targeted income are desirable.

Secondment/fixed term opportunity for 12 months

We are currently looking for someone to join our Assessment Centre based in Lewisham as a Project Worker. 

Working in this roles, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Work with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions and work towards achieving them.
• Work with clients to assess their support and housing needs and create suitable move on plans.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients in an approachable, caring and person centred way. 
• Work as part of a dedicated team to provide safe, high quality, positive and inclusive service to clients.
• Complete administrative records relating to client work, housing management and health and safety.
• Work on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for unsocial hours worked as part of a day shift after 8pm or before 8am Monday to Friday as well as for all hours during day shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.

About you

This role will suit people with:

• An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people – you may have had personal experience of homelessness yourself.
• Experience helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change.
• Good interpersonal and listening skills, in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an enthusiasm to learn and work with clients with a holistic and person-centred approach.
