The wïsh centre is a Registered Charity in London Borough of Harrow that helps young people to stop self harming so that they can live a life free from the risk of serious harm. Every year we support over 150 children and young people ages 12-25 years through long term psychotherapy and peer support groups. We deliver our work in schools and colleges and at our Centre in Harrow. We have a twenty year evidenced track record of success and a small and dedicated team.
We have a new three year strategy where we will focus on enhancing the capacity of wïsh Harrow so that we can support more young people and will continue to focus on partnership work with youth voice being central to, and informing, all that we do.
Purpose of the Role
The Deputy CEO is a new and exciting role that is pivotal in supporting the CEO in leading the charity, ensuring operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustainable impact. This role combines leadership, governance, income generation, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance to help drive the charity’s mission forward.
The Deputy CEO will work closely with the CEO, enhancing capacity to recruit and retain staff and diversify sources of funding to ensure the sustainability of our service.
You will be responsible for creating new partnerships and commissioning opportunities and help us with income generation and the stewarding of funding relationships whilst keeping an overview of the quality of our services and how we communicate about our work.
You will be entrepreneurial and fast thinking, with skills of persuasion and strategy. Experience of working in the education, charity, mental health or social care field will be an advantage together with a genuine drive to improve life chances for young people.
Evidence of a track record in securing funding and commissioning is crucial.
Leadership & Governance
· Deputise for the CEO when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
· Contribute to strategic planning and the implementation of the charity’s vision and values.
· Prepare board papers, coordinate board meetings, and take accurate minutes to support effective governance.
· Act as a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to high-level decision-making.
Fundraising & Stakeholder Engagement
· Support the CEO in securing funding through high-quality bids and proposals to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.
· Secure leads for commissioning with local schools and colleges and potential partnerships.
· Develop and steward strong relationships with funders, sponsors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
· Represent the charity at external events and meetings.
Operational & Team Management
· Manage and support a small staff team, including recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management and annual appraisals.
· Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) when required.
· Ensure all areas operate efficiently, meet compliance and safety standards, and support the charity’s purpose.
Policy and Monitoring and Evaluation
· Responsibility for Monitoring and Evaluation, including funder and impact reports
· Coordinate and manage policy development, risk management, and charity administration.
· Lead the creation and presentation of annual reports, impact evaluations, and other stakeholder funding reports and communications.
· Monitor KPIs and targets to ensure the charity meets its funding requirements and achieves positive outcomes.
· Support quality assurance processes
Data & Systems
· Maintain effective recording systems for both quantitative and qualitative data.
· Use management information systems to inform practice and identify trends.
· Ensure the website, social media and external communications are robust and effective.

Role summary

Job Purpose
The Senior Systems Accountant is a key role within Islamic Relief’s Finance team, providing ongoing strategic and operational support for our cloud-based financial system, Unit4 ERP (version 7 – Cloud Release). This role ensures that the finance system is optimally configured and maintained to support efficient business-as-usual (BAU) operations across the organisation.
You will act as the organisation’s Unit4 SUPER user and subject matter expert, responsible for system administration, user support and training, issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with Finance, IT, and system users, you will ensure the ERP system supports accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and process efficiency.
This is not a project implementation role it focuses on the long-term embedding, optimisation, and support of Unit4 ERP7 (CR), delivering both strategic oversight and day-to-day system management.
The successful candidate must have:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent with proven delivery of ERP system administration, configuration, and optimisation in a live finance environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unit4 ERP v7 Cloud (financial modules) in a support or administration role.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting principles, and reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency with reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excelerator).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system and user issues independently.

About the role
The FDIO will take the lead in developing the reports, dashboards and insight that directly support fundraising growth. About you
We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience with CRM systems (ideally Raiser’s Edge or similar), strong reporting and visualisation skills, and the ability to work confidently with data importing and management processes. You’ll be analytical, curious, and a natural problem-solver with strong Excel skills and the ability to present data clearly to different audiences.
Experience of predictive analytics or advanced segmentation would be an advantage, but most importantly you’ll be someone who enjoys improving systems and has a proactive approach to data.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs) provide emotional and practical support and information to victims and survivors of sexual violence who have reported to the police, or are considering reporting to the police.
The role of an ISVA is to support victims and survivors by:
·Ensuring their voice is heard.
·Helping them make the choices that feel right for them.
·Accompanying them to important appointments and to court.
·Supporting them with their next steps after the legal process is over, regardless of the outcome of the case.
If victims and survivors are considering reporting to the police, ISVAs can also help them by:
·Providing impartial information to enable them to make an informed decision.
·Offering an overview of police processes and what to expect if they do decide to report.
·Supporting them in their next steps.
CARA provides an ISVA service to adults, young people and children who have been victims of sexual violence from across mid and North Essex, and Uttlesford.
Most ISVA clients are referred to CARA through the Police or the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Clients can also refer themselves.
Duties and Responsibilities
For all clients
· To liaise with CARA’s Information and Referrals Coordinator and First Contact Navigators in supporting new referrals to the ISVA service.
· To undertake risk assessment and support needs analysis with clients.
· To develop individual service plans to address risks/support needs of clients.
· To help clients access services to which they are entitled, e.g. through setting up fast-track referral systems to sexual health follow-up services, making referrals to mental health services, assisting with return to work/absence from work arrangements.
· To provide face-to-face and telephone support (non-therapeutic) to clients and their supporters where appropriate.
· To help clients to develop their own support network.
· To explain criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to clients.
· To provide information in relation to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
· Where relevant and with client’s consent, to keep other agencies informed about important changes in client’s situation.
· To consider safeguarding issues and follow CARA’s safeguarding policy and procedures.
If a client reports to the Police
· To support the client throughout their time in the criminal justice system, explaining the procedures and their role and rights within it.
· Subject to local arrangements and their wishes, to support the client at every step; from the provision of their witness statement through to a trial.
· To liaise with the police and CPS on behalf of the client. To keep them informed about the progress of their case on behalf of the police in line with the requirements of the Victims Code of Practice.

· To manage a caseload of around 50 clients (pro rata), including adults, young people and children.
· To travel to client meetings in a variety of settings, including outreach premises and clients’ homes.

· To note and feedback to other agencies any difficulties clients are having accessing their service.
