The Brompton Fountain supports children's heart and lung care at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust encompassing Royal Brompton, Harefield, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital and their partner hospitals.
Based at Royal Brompton Hospital, we work with teams across all sites to ensure patients and their families receive specialised support and resources (whilst in hospital and at home), regardless of where the child is treated within the Trust
network.

The Family Support Officer plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, practical and emotional support to children, young people and families receiving care under the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Working closely with the Hospital Services Manager, the post-holder will help deliver high-quality charitable services, events and projects.

Key objectives of the job 

• Work closely with the Hospital Services Manager to deliver core charity support, including but not limited to researching and distributing essential items, seasonal gifts and treats.

• Assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of events for children and families, varying in scale from one-to-one activities to large events.

• Obtaining and filing photo consent forms for any photography for promotional use.

• Assist with the delivery and development of services specifically for bereaved families, including annual events and support projects. 

• Assist with the upkeep of parent communal areas, including stock levels and general maintenance.

• Order products as directed by Hospital Services Manager

• Accurately recording charitable output, to be used for reporting purposes.

• Arranging travel and accommodation for families as part of our support services.

• Contribute ideas to improve services and identify unmet needs among families.

Communication and representation

• Communication with parents and families during face to face, telephone, email and social media interactions.

• Act in accordance with safeguarding procedures, escalating concerns about the welfare of children or vulnerable adults to the Hospital Services Manager (or charity CEO as required)

• Assist with the creation of regular charity newsletters through copywriting.

• Act as an ambassador for the charity when attending events and activities.

• Ensure that up to date written records and activity data are maintained in  accordance with professional and charity standards. 

• Comply with Charity and Trust policies including, but not limited to, current child protection policy and guidance, confidentiality, and health and safety.

• Be vigilant and aware of all stock, merchandise and resources owned by the charity.

Citizens Advice Milton Keynes is a local charity that helps people to resolve their legal, money and personal problems. We have been providing free, confidential, and impartial advice since 1972 and helped over 8000 local people last year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and confident person to join us in delivering a new project based in local GP Surgeries. The ideal candidate will provide a Social Prescribing Link Worker service, to patients of Crown Primary Care Network (CROWN PCN) in Milton Keynes, working to support patients and staff at each of their 3 medical centres across the area.

The Link Worker will take referrals from the PCN’s practices, and from a wide range of external agencies, and through self-referrals. They’ll work with people to identify issues that affect their health and wellbeing and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan that connects them to non-medical community-based activities, groups and services that meet practical, social, and emotional needs.

This is a challenging role, managing a demanding caseload, working to strict quality standards and playing a full part in multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals. Successful candidates will be able to ensure that all work is compliant with our contract funder – Crown PCN, and Citizens Advice standards.

Applicants need to be:

• Computer-literate, although training on our case recording systems will be given.
• Able to travel between each of the 3 surgeries in Milton Keynes.
• Confident in working to performance targets.
• Able to show good communications skills, both written and verbal. These are essential in the role, as are excellent customer service skills with a non-judgemental approach.
• Prepared to work independently and from a variety of community-based locations.

A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a social prescribing role or an agency providing advice, support and signposting (or similar setting) is desirable.

Many of our clients have complex needs and this role ensures that clients receive mental health assessment and important aspects of the clinical pathway as well as liaison with other internal and external services as needed.

About the role

The role involves assessment, care planning and provision of stabilisation and reintegration to clients with the most complex needs receiving our services. Working together with our therapists, and legal and welfare staff, the ideal candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with significant experience of working in the mental health sector with complex mental health presentations and will have a passion for working with asylum seekers, refugees and survivors of torture.

We are currently finalising our strategy re-fresh and the Glasgow team will be piloting new models of service delivery. This is an exciting development within the organisation and so we envisage the post holder contributing to implementation of the national strategy as well as shaping the delivery within Scotland.

The role

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. You will support young people to recognise and capitalise on their strengths by taking a coaching approach. You will work with young people who have been identified as having higher support needs and be proactive in taking steps to manage risk across your caseload. In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. The Coach’s role will be to engage with our adult beneficiaries, supporting them to identify and achieve their aspirations for themselves and for their families.

Be Free Campaign is a youth-led mental health charity dedicated to platforming the lived experiences of young people to destigmatise early and preventive mental health support seeking.
We work with young people across Merseyside and Manchester through schools, community spaces and events, reaching thousands of young people annually. Through our core 6 programmes, young people learn how to engage and connect with support to help them take control of their health and futures.
As the charity enters its 6th year, we are actively looking to engage with racialised and marginalised young people to understand the barriers they are facing in accessing support. 

Role purpose

The Young People’s Equity and Inclusion Officer will work to improve how mental health support includes and serves racially and otherwise marginalised young people aged 11 to 25 in Liverpool. The role focuses on generating insight, co‑producing solutions, and supporting practical changes so that support is more culturally safe, accessible, and relevant.

This is a non‑clinical role centred on outcomes rather than casework. The post holder will coordinate engagement activity, gather and interpret learning, and work with partners to turn that learning into clear tools, pilots, and recommendations for change.

This role is anchored in lived experience. We are particularly seeking candidates who have personal experience of navigating mental health challenges and or barriers to accessing support as a young person from a racially minoritised or historically marginalised community. We recognise lived experience as a form of expertise and insight that is critical to shaping meaningful systems change. The successful candidate will be supported to draw on their experience in a boundaried and professional way, with structured supervision and reflective space embedded into the role. 1. Insight and Engagement
Plan and deliver structured engagement with young people aged 11–25 to explore experiences of mental health, identity and access to support. Use discussions, creative methods, surveys and interviews to gather meaningful insight. Ensure participation reflects racially minoritised and marginalised communities. Maintain accurate records of activity and emerging themes.

2. Equity and Inclusion Development
Identify patterns in barriers and gaps identified by young people. Translate learning into practical recommendations, tools and resources that strengthen equity and inclusion. Embed anti-racist and trauma-informed practice throughout all activity.

3. Partnership Coordination
Work with schools, community organisations and partners to host engagement activity and test improvement ideas. Agree clear roles and objectives for joint work. Share findings to support partners to strengthen their practice. Represent the organisation in local forums when required.

4. Pilots and Improvement Activity
Support the design and coordination of small-scale pilots based on youth insight. Gather feedback, refine approaches and document learning through clear improvement cycles.

5. Monitoring and Reporting
Track participation, demographics and agreed outcome measures. Contribute to analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Support preparation of reports, summaries and presentations for internal and external audiences, including youth-friendly formats.

6. Safeguarding and Quality
Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection policies. Respond appropriately to concerns and participate in supervision and training. Contribute to risk assessments and safe delivery across all settings.

Purpose of the role:

This new role will play a key part in delivering Unseen’s fundraising and communications strategy. We’re looking for a passionate, creative communicator to help grow our supporter base and maximise income to support our work to end modern slavery. 

1. Working with service users (in the community and in safehouses at times) to identify support needs and creating a journey plan to lead them towards recovery and independence.
2. Working alongside service users to help them complete the goals in their journey plan, ensuring they are aware of their rights and entitlements and advocating for them
3. Identifying and managing risk with service users.
4. Supporting staff and clients at within our outreach service, and at times in the safehouses.
5. Managing own caseload of service users, ensuring all administrative work is clear, accurate and up to date.

Role description:

The Bid Writer will be instrumental in driving ambitious income growth by creating compelling proposals, reports, and presentations that showcase the impact of Southampton Hospitals Charity’s work to engage both current and prospective high-value supporters (trusts and foundations, philanthropic individuals

and corporates).

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of high-quality cases for support, philanthropic proposals, update reports and presentations
• Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across University Hospital Southampton to develop compelling philanthropic asks and stewardship reports
• Work closely with the grants manager to ensure that proposals align to agreed grant priorities and funding decisions
• Translate complex information into clear, donor-friendly materials that are brand consistent and tailored to a high value audience
• Identify compelling and innovative ways to articulate and showcase the impact of Southampton Hospitals Charity, using powerful, persuasive writing to engage and inspire high-value audiences
• Work closely with the Director of Income Generation and Marketing to plan a portfolio of work managing different deadlines for review, sign off and submission
• Work closely with the fundraising team to ensure proposals and reports reflect the interests and motivations of supporters and prospective supporters.
