Location: Sheffield
Reporting to: Director of Fundraising

Salary: £45,721.96 to £60,963.64 per annum

Hours and basis: Full Time 37.5 hours per week / Permanent position

Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity is looking for an ambitious and inspiring fundraising leader to join us as Head of Partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead our partnerships strategy, building high-value relationships that generate significant income and create lasting impact for children and families.

About the role

In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead and grow the Charity’s partnerships income, developing and delivering a long-term strategy that drives sustainable income growth, and maximises the wider value of partnerships.

You will develop strong relationships with senior leaders, businesses and other influential partners and stakeholders, identifying opportunities to generate significant income and engagement.

You’ll also provide leadership to the Partnerships team, creating a high-performing culture focused on ambitious income growth, excellent partner experience and long-term relationship development.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver a long-term Partnerships strategy that drives sustainable income growth and maximises the wider value of high-value corporate and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify, develop, negotiate and secure high-value partnerships, building mutually beneficial relationships that generate significant income, engagement, profile and impact for Sheffield Children’s.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of key partners and prospects, developing strong relationships and tailored engagement strategies to maximise income, retention and long-term value.
  • Build a strong and sustainable pipeline of partnership opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking and relationship development, while developing compelling propositions that inspire businesses and organisations to support Sheffield Children’s.

About you

We’re looking for a collaborative and driven fundraising professional with a proven track record in securing significant partnership income and developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience in developing and securing high-value partnerships
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking and a results-driven approach
  • Experience leading and motivating high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and negotiate effectively with diverse audiences
  • A proactive, creative mindset with strong organisational and analytical skills
