Could you build relationships that help change lives?
Shiloh Rotherham is looking for a Community Fundraiser who is passionate about people, great at building relationships and excited by the opportunity to make a real difference.
For more than 30 years, Shiloh has been supporting adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Rotherham. We provide a safe, welcoming place where people can access practical support, advice, health and wellbeing services, skills and training, and opportunities to move towards a better future.
We are now entering an exciting new chapter as we launch our new three-year strategic plan, and we are looking for someone who can help us grow our income, our profile and our community of supporters.
About the role
As our Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing and growing Shiloh’s fundraising across Rotherham and South Yorkshire.
This is a relationship-driven role. You will connect with individuals, community groups, schools and colleges, local organisations and businesses, inspiring them to get involved with Shiloh and become long-term supporters.
You will have the opportunity to be creative and develop new fundraising ideas, while also nurturing the relationships we already have. From community fundraising events and supporter-led activities to corporate partnerships, campaigns and sponsorship opportunities, you will help turn connections into meaningful support for Shiloh.
You will also work closely with our CEO and wider team to communicate the difference Shiloh makes, share impact stories and ensure our supporters understand how their contribution is helping people move forward.
About you
We are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and passionate about building relationships. You will have at least two years’ experience in community fundraising or a similar relationship-based role, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of fundraising within the charitable or voluntary sector, donor stewardship, fundraising codes of practice, GDPR, CRM systems and Google Workspace would be an advantage.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable, as the role will involve travelling across South Yorkshire.
Why join Shiloh?
This is an opportunity to join a charity with more than 30 years of experience and impact in Rotherham, at an exciting point in our development. You will be joining a supportive, values-driven team where relationships really matter and where your work will directly contribute to helping people facing homelessness.
We offer:
-
25 days’ annual leave
-
6% employer pension contribution after three months
-
Hybrid and flexible working options
-
Opportunities for training and personal development
Our values
Our values of Empowerment, Partnership, Inclusivity and Respect are at the heart of everything we do.
Shiloh was founded in 1992 on Christian beliefs. While the values of the Christian faith remain at the heart of our work, our support is open to everyone. You do not need to be a Christian to work for Shiloh, but you will need to demonstrate empathy with our vision, values and mission.
Interested?
If you are an enthusiastic and relationship-focused fundraiser who wants to use your skills to make a real difference to people experiencing homelessness, we would love to hear from you.
