We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee the DRIVE project.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

About the role:

This role is based in Cumbria.

As a Perpetrator Service Operations Manager you will oversee 4 Case Managers and 2 IDVA's. You will:

• ensure that all support and advice given is in line with Drive Partnership key messages and strategic objectives.
• contribute to the development of the Drive model through service reviews, supporting the Drive Partnership in delivery challenges and implementation of changes to the Drive operational model.
• act as a champion for Drive across the area in all aspects of development and delivery. You will be expected to represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate.
• support the Commissioner and Drive Central Team in identifying and securing resources and implementing future funding plans agreed for the service.
• be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

You will need:

• previous experience leading projects and developing new service provision.
• the ability to complete reliable and timely reports and meet deadlines.
• to be able to manage your own workload.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children, and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. 

Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners, and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.

About the role

Rockinghorse delivers more than 70 impactful projects each year to support sick and disabled babies, children, and young people across Sussex. As our programmes grow, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day delivery of our projects and services.

Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, this role will play a vital part in ensuring our projects run smoothly on time and on budget. You will work closely with NHS Champions (doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals), internal colleagues and external partners to help coordinate activities, gather information, maintain accurate records, and support the successful delivery of all our projects.

This is a hands‑on, operational role, offering an opportunity to develop project management skills within a friendly and impactful children’s charity. You’ll play an important part in ensuring our projects make a meaningful difference to children and families across Sussex.

The location of this position is a mixture of office and site visits within Sussex.

Duties of the role 

Delivering incredible projects that save and improve lives.

Rockinghorse delivers and funds around 70 projects per year – supporting sick and disabled children in hospital.

Project Delivery & Day‑to‑Day Coordination

· Support the administration, coordination, and delivery of Rockinghorse projects across Sussex.

· Organise meetings, site visits, check‑ins, project reviews, and installations.

Supporting the step change in growth of the Statutory, Trusts and Foundations income stream.

Product Marketing Coordinator

This role is critical in ensuring Dot Dot Dot’s property offer meets market demand, business needs, and our social mission.

You will manage key parts of the property product lifecycle - from defining value propositions and preparing properties for launch, through to marketing, viewings, and quality control. Working closely with Marketing and Services teams, you’ll help ensure our properties are well‑positioned, well‑presented, and successfully filled.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining strategic thinking with operational delivery, and desk‑based work with regular visits to properties. You’ll be supported in role by our senior marketing coordinator and head of marketing and business development.

We're looking for two Support Workers to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!

About the role
This role gives you the opportunity to help people build positive relationships and see meaningful change over time. At Your Place, we work to build hope and develop sustainable life skills that support people to move on from homelessness. We work closely with each resident, focusing on their strengths through one‑to‑one and peer‑led support within a compassionate community that encourages progress towards independent living.

As a Support Worker, you will deliver consistent one to one keywork to residents who may be rebuilding their lives after homelessness while navigating multiple needs and complex barriers. You will not be doing this work alone. As part of a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with our Community Partnership Team, Resident Services and Move‑On Specialist to create joined‑up pathways, remove barriers and support successful move‑on.

The Research Grants Officer’s role is to support the Research team to ensure that The Charity effectively delivers our Research Strategy: Accelerating a Cure and our grant programme.

You will assist with all aspects of our pre and post award management processes for all of our current and future funding schemes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Work with and assist the Research Team in the implementation of The Charity’s strategic goals and research strategy.

· Undertake research related projects to further the aims of The Charity to transform the research landscape to support people in living longer, better lives following a brain tumour diagnosis.

· Support the administration of The Charity’s grant application, monitoring and review processes, including liaising with academic researchers and assessment panels.

· Support the peer reviewing of submitted proposals by identifying expert reviewers for those areas, and ensuring reviews and scores are completed within strict deadlines.

· Organise and attend panel meetings including liaising with attendees and venues, preparing and distributing panel packs, and taking minutes and producing summaries where necessary.

· Monitor the progress of current grants through review of annual reports as well as regular engagement with The Charity’s funded researchers outside of reporting timelines.

· Detailed financial monitoring of awarded grants and maintain accurate records of expenditure.

· Maintain accurate electronic records to track grant applications and awarded grants.

· Respond to enquiries about The Charity’s funded research, research strategy and calls for applications from researchers, the public and colleagues within The Charity.

· Assist in ensuring the scientific accuracy of internal and external communications around the research programme, for example in feedback letters, mail outs, newsletters, website content and press releases.

You will provide Early Help Support for Adults facing multiple disadvantages via the ‘Bringing Service Together for People in Places’ (BST PiP) programme for Manchester and the national Changing Futures programme.  Your role will be to work directly with adults liaising with linked agencies and services in the community to improve outcomes. You will need a collaborative, trauma-responsive and person-centred approach to achieve this.  You will identify blocks and barriers within existing systems and find solutions to make wider and transformational change locally. We put the involvement of people with lived experience of multiple disadvantages at the heart of delivering this service and in co-production of future delivery.

About you

You will need experience of delivering frontline services, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds with multiple and complex needs and/or multiple disadvantages. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of Manchester based services and community assets, be able to represent Shelter externally and have an appreciation of the barriers and personal difficulties faced by people accessing local services. Proactive, creative, and collaborative in your approach, you will have great relationship building skills, a flair for leading change and the confidence to challenge the status quo.  You will also have demonstrable experience of working with volunteers and co-production to make decisions.

About the team

The team will be made up of six Navigators based across the City of Manchester, as well as a Peer Coordinator and Peer Mentors. You will hold your own caseload, supported by the Team Leader.  You will work alongside Navigators who are based within partner organisations at the Big Life Group and Back on Track, as well as a team of peer volunteers. The team is responsible for contributing to Shelter’s wider community priorities and work with internal colleagues to deliver our strategy.
