A little bit about the role 

We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. This makes it a great first step into your career as you’ll have real practical examples to take forward. You will work with the Selection Manager and Selection Officers to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate at Approach Social Work assessment centres, supporting assessors and sharing responsibility for ensuring days run smoothly and consistently​
• Manage the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors)​
• Act as first point of contact for candidates experiencing technical difficulties with IT systems used as part of selection process.

A little bit about you 

The role would suit a recent graduate with experience in event planning, logistics coordination, or customer service. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented and excels at managing multiple tasks and priorities. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who can support candidates through the selection process, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth operations at assessment centers.

As the Big Local programme enters its final stage, PSBL are seeking a driven and passionate community development officer to join our team and help realise the vision of the Plaistow South Big Local partnership and establish its legacy.

You will usually be based at our new office at Memorial Community Church, Barking Road, E13. You will work alongside the team, providing support across a diverse range of projects. Early Help Development Worker

The Role

You will work as part of a city-wide team of Early Help Development Workers as well as on a locality basis to ensure that they can combine targeted work with locality needs. This will include a strong element of co production, working with residents and community assets to lead on projects and the development of new groups, services, and activities to meet the needs or improve services within the community.

The role will also focus on increasing children and family’s engagement with local assets by working with them to improve accessibility, identify gaps in provision and encourage innovation and improvements to services.

Duties and key responsibilities include:

• Engaging statutory, community and voluntary organisations in a locality and working with all communities in the city.
• Engaging with a broad range of health, education, early years and social care organisations.
• Working with community providers to enable a ‘live’ understanding of community needs and resource capacity as part of a ‘gap analysis’ of the children and families offer across the locality.
• Supporting residents to lead on community projects and the development and delivery of new groups, services, or activities to meet needs or improve services in the community.
• Working with the Family Hub to align outcomes and workstreams with Family Hubs Outcomes.
• Increasing children and families’ engagement with local assets by working with groups and organisations to improve accessibility, identify gaps in provision, and encourage innovation and improvement to services including local commissioning in line with identified needs.
• Responding to targeted areas of work on a city-wide basis.
• Alongside the Service Lead, develop and deliver communications and engagement plans.
• Engaging with the citywide Early Help network, coordinated by BVSC, including regular attendance at meetings, as appropriate.

• To form ongoing working relationships with people who refer members to Sound Minds such as care coordinators, social prescribers, community mental health teams, local psychiatric hospitals, and housing support workers. 

• To lead the referral team at Sound Minds to ensure the referral pipeline operates smoothly and fits the needs of prospective members.

• To lead on the pastoral care of our individual members. Working with people to help resolve any ongoing problems around areas such as housing, finance, benefits, access to mental health services, having sufficient food to eat and referring and signposting them on to other services.

• Referring members on to other services and ensuring that the offers of Sound Minds are joined up.

• Leading group sessions to help individuals with their wellbeing and recovery journeys.

Programme Officer

Salary: Circa £22,919 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their careers

· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified

· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan

· Providing regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.

About You

You will:

· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities

· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.

· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs

· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes

· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.

· You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

· A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.

· Setting up and running virtual groups.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role

ALAG (Asperger London Area Group) has been a registered charity since 2015.

ALAG is a pan-London membership community organisation, supporting autistic adults without a learning disability. We work in partnership with statutory services and the voluntary sector to highlight the needs of autistic adults.

We are dedicated to seeking practical initiatives and solutions when supporting individuals to come to terms with their diagnosis and to providing the tailored support that is essential to their well-being. One such initiative is the Autism Hub which was established in 2018 in the London Boroughs of Islington and Camden.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing sound, motivating leadership and creating a work atmosphere where our dedicated, talented team can thrive. You will be responsible for leading on delivering the charity's services, which includes managing and overseeing projects, policies and procedures within the organisation. 

You will be working as part of a growing, busy, collaborative and motivated team and be able to adapt well to changing priorities. You will have oversight of a team of 10-12 people including contracted staff, volunteers and directly manage 3-5 members of the team.

You will work alongside the CEO, staff team, trustees and charity accountant in ensuring strong financial management of all projects.  You will report to the CEO and Board of Trustees, attend quarterly board meetings and produce regular reports on the activities and outcomes to stakeholders.

The role will also involve evaluating the organisation’s processes and ensuring they are efficient and accessible, as well as ensuring we meet our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This will inform operational development and future strategies.

Person specification

Essential Criteria 

• An understanding of autism and experience working with autistic adults without a learning disability
• Strong understanding of the duties of statutory services and key legislation that underpins the rights of autistic people
• Knowledge and practice of relevant legislation – Autism Act 2009 and National Strategy, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equalities Act 2010, GDPR 2018
• Experience developing and optimising support services for disabled people 
• An understanding of the third sector and health and social care landscape in London
• Proven track record in an operational, managerial role within the third sector
• A strong leader and manager, with proven experience mentoring a staff and volunteer team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities, and driving towards excellent outcomes
• Experience leading the delivery of high-quality services for charity beneficiaries

• Defining and delivering organisational goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency
• Ability to plan and manage budgets and contribute to decisions on the allocation of resources
• Developing infrastructure- policies, procedures, and processes within the developing service provision

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the operations team, setting overall goals and objectives for team members 
• Ensure robust implementation and efficiency within the agreed processes in conjunction with the operations team
• Monitor use of software and processes used in the organisation to ensure the effective management of data and client journey

• Knowledge of the voluntary sector, grants, monitoring processes
