We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and also strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness. 

About the role 

We are a dynamic, innovative and values-led organisation, with the opportunity and flexibility to develop our services to meet the needs of the people we work with. As part of our commitment to end the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs, we are seeking a Practitioner Psychologists or Psychological Therapists to join our fantastic Clinical Psychology teams in locations around the UK. 

You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences

Residential Support Workers (Mental Health) 

Birmingham, Acocks Green 

£23,400 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

Post holders must be able to work flexible shifts Monday to Sunday. There is also a requirement for the post holders to be available to work sleep-in duties (for which there is a separate allowance paid).

Do you have an interest in working with those who experience mental health distress who are living in a Residential Care Home? 

They are a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands.  As a Residential Support Worker, you will work in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties using a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on maintaining and strengthening their presence in the community. 

You will have experience of working in an adult social care environment or health and social care setting and be able to demonstrate our client's values.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a Caseworker to play a key role in our award-winning SOS+ project. SOS+ educates children and young people around the risks and signs of exploitation, serious violence and gangs, through group facilitated sessions and tailored one-to-one intervention sessions in schools and other community settings. It also takes an evidence-based approach which educates professionals and parents, as well as children and young people between the ages of 10-25 years.

About this key role
A key member of the St Giles Yorkshire team, as well as our Central SOS+ team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering 1-2-1 educational sessions to children and young people on topics such as grooming, weapons awareness, the reality of prison, gangs, county lines and child sexual exploitation. You’ll also need to work closely with partner agencies and attend multi-agency meetings and support the design and development of new sessions and materials. All the while, you’ll be supported by a Peer Advisor with lived experience of adverse experiences linked to exploitation, county lines or prison.

What we are looking for

• Experience of engaging with challenging children and young people, e.g., those with complex needs, who are reluctant to discuss their needs or who are angry and confused
• A track record gained working with socially excluded children, young people and adults, including delivering/facilitating sessions to groups – especially socially excluded children and young people in schools or similar settings
• Knowledge of gangs, knife crime and patterns of offending in West Yorkshire or a similar area, plus a proven ability to negotiate and network with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project
• An Education and Training and/or Mentoring Level 3 qualification, or similar, or a willingness to work towards this
• A flexible and collaborative approach, a positive attitude, emotional resilience, confidence when speaking in front of a group and a flair for planning sessions using a variety of resources

A driver's license and a car are essential due to the rural areas covered.

As a Project / Support Worker Complex Needs, your role will be to provide support to clients to enable them to understand their support needs and to manage these effectively.  You will hold a caseload of clients and be responsible for helping them to identify short term objectives, meet their goals and complete risk assessments. You will also support clients to develop their living skills, develop and manage relationships, build social networks and to access various services.

About you:

• Previous experience of working in the health and social care, supporting vulnerable people, rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs. 
• An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches. 
• The ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health and social care sector. 
• A flexible and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage client group.

Right now, we are looking for someone like you to join our enhanced substance use service in Wolverhampton. You will have experience of creating and delivering group and coursework programmes, and of holding and managing a caseload of complex service users. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to help develop this service and expand our group and coursework psychological intervention programmes.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you will need a passion for working with people impacted by substance misuse concerns. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you will have experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals. You will also have experience of engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

Would you like to be part of supporting and developing innovative support services for people who hear voices, see visions, have other sensory experiences, altered states or unshared beliefs? We are looking for someone with knowledge of peer support and a range of perspectives on mental health to join our Hearing Voices Projects team.

As an organisation that leads on integrating the hearing voices movement ethos into our services, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in continuing our work.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Work with partner organisations to establish hearing voices peer support groups, in addition to facilitating groups.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops on the hearing voices approach and related topics.
• Offer support to a range of people who hear voices (young people and their families, those in prison, forensic units or Immigration Removal Centres) in a variety of ways (email, zoom, phone, face to face).

The role 

We are looking for passionate and adaptable Sessional Inclusion Workers to join our Activities for All service in Leeds.

You will offer short-term, one to one support to disabled children encouraging their inclusion in mainstream play and leisure activities.

 As a part of the role you will encourage universal play and leisure activities to be inclusive of all children.

Working hours will tend to be after-school and evenings during the week and weekends.

The hours are flexible and can fit around studies or another job. 

About you

Essential:

• You will have experience of inclusion work with children and young people with additional needs in play and leisure settings
• Be able to show a knowledge of inclusion policies and procedures
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Be able to work on your own initiative as well as following set procedures and working with others
• Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Be able to travel across Leeds

Desirable:

• A positive approach to the inclusion of all children and young people in play and leisure settings
• Knowledge of services and play provision for disabled children in Leeds
• A positive approach to the issue of risk in children’s play
• Be willing to attend training to support the development of the role

We are looking to recruit as soon as possible a self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking officer to co-ordinate the delivery of a low level mental health and well-being issues service across Dyfed for older people and their carers.

The service forms part of Hywel Dda University Health Board’s mental health plan. The service aims to provide low-level support, for mild to moderate mental health and well-being issues, diverting demand away from primary and secondary health care services.

This service will require an agile and flexible approach, utilising both regulated and unregulated in-home service providers. An understanding of the mental health and well-being issues affecting older people is desirable as is attention to detail.

Post Title: Team Leader

Location: The post will be based primarily at University College London Hospital (UCLH) Euston. However, all Redthread team members must be flexible about supporting other sites when needed. Regular visits to Redthread’s main offices and other projects and activities at various locations across London, the Midlands, and the UK will be required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The nature of Redthread’s work means that regular evening and weekend working is required. You will be required to work shifts to ensure that the team cover from 7:30am to 9pm each day between them.

Salary: £38,424.75 per annum + benefits 

Contract type: 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

What you'll do:

Manage a caseload of clients who have been stepped down from high risk IDVA support
Provide ongoing support with a range of client needs including but not limited to attendance at court hearings, mental health, substance issues, and housing support.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system. Understanding of Marac protocols.
Support clients to obtain orders where needed and any other civil remedies available to them.
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Attending all court and Case Management hearings with clients
Carry out administration tasks in line with the role as directed.
Supporting clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Safety and Support Plan.
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents.
Managing any ongoing risks and creating safety plans when required.
Raising concerns of any increase in risk levels to senior IDVAs.
Attend case management session with IDVA Team Leader
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes.
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the
health and safety of yourself and colleagues.
Encouraging clients to attend relevant programmes when appropriate.
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures.
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills.
Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the IDVA Manager.
