Summary of key duties:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.
• Lead on and co-ordinate the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a timely manner to the Leadership Team for review and recommendation to the Finance & Audit Committee.
• Produce quarterly and annual internal finance report and management accounts for reporting to the Leadership Team and Finance & Audit Committee, which summarise budget trends, analyse and report variance.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, through liaisons with the Trust’s external auditors for preparing of the SORP financial statements.

Policy and Procedures

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement policies, procedures and systems ensuring best value is achieved across all activities.
• Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring appropriate cover is in place and general administration of the Trust’s insurance policies is enacted.

Payroll

• Maintain payroll processing system and run the monthly payroll.

Facilities Management

• Support the development of a 5 year planned preventative maintenance plan for the Trust’s premises, to support budget and resource planning.
• Oversee the management of the Trust’s premises ensuring contracts are in place and appropriately managed to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the building and that all health and safety requirements are met.

Line management responsibilities

• Provide line management to the Finance Co-ordinator and Workplace & Facilities Manager, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.
• Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manger Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience 

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or experience to this level (E).
• Practical knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports for senior management and compliance purposes.
• Line management experience to foster a productive and supportive team environment.

The Role 
The Head of Health & Wellbeing is a key member of the College and is responsible for managing the delivery of the College’s operational health and wellbeing provision.

The role holder will be closely involved in student welfare across the College, working closely with undergraduates and postgraduates, Fellows, and staff. Strengthening The Future of Macclesfield’s Heritage moves the Trust towards this vision, strengthening fundraising capacity plus staff and board skills, to provide a solid foundation for the future.

The Trust has achieved a great deal over the last 5 years, securing funding from public sources, trusts, and foundations. This newly created role will build on this success and attract substantial support from individuals and corporate sources. It involves working with internal and external stakeholders to raise funds for core funding, projects, and capital campaigns. It is envisaged that the post-holder will work with Trustees and staff to establish a Development sub-group to inform and drive this work. Strategic planning and communications are key to this. Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking
Provide support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making
Undertake support work in partnership with external stakeholders to compliment their interventions
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
Demonstrate strong commitment to the functioning of the staff team and to support colleagues in providing a high level of service and safety to customers
Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc.
Being responsible for the handover of key information between shifts
Provide structured support and guidance to other front line staff in their area of expertise
To lead groups and activities - offering a range of appropriate therapeutic and recovery focused interactions and activities
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures. Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager
Maintain records in accordance with Look Ahead's Information Management policies, procedures and guidance under the direction of the manager.
Keep a clear desk at all times and assist with archiving and secure disposal of records when required.

Lead the creation, coordination and optimisation of compelling digital content that supports PETA’s campaigns.

Salary: £37,000 - £42,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire millions of people to take positive actions for animals by writing, editing, and publishing compelling advocacy copy, including petitions and letters to politicians and other decision-makers

• Maintain and regularly update digital campaign action alerts, which may include updating campaign targets, ensuring the accuracy of the text, and writing campaign updates

• Monitor planning proposals for new factory farms, research and draft petitions specifically targeting new planning applications and other urgent animal rights issues

• Oversee the creation, editing, and publishing of web content, including blog posts and lifestyle features

• Use analytics tools to track content performance and inform future content strategies

• Conduct keyword research, and develop and implement SEO strategies to boost organic traffic to the website

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the accuracy of digital content and its alignment with campaign goals, and maintain a dynamic and engaging website

• Assist the social media team by repurposing and adapting content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and X (Twitter)

• Work as part of the digital marketing team to ensure that online campaigns are as effective as possible

• Support the digital team with additional tasks as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience in digital content creation, web publishing, or online campaigning

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a persuasive and engaging style

• Strong understanding of SEO principles and content performance metrics

• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), Google Analytics, and social media tools.

• Knowledge of HTML is an advantage, but not essential

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Intermediate skills in photo editing using tools like Photoshop or Canva

• Experience with e-campaigning tools such as Engaging Networks preferred

• Strong work ethic with a focus on efficiency, patience, exceptional attention to detail, a positive attitude, and innovative ideas
