The role

As Programme Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across the entire portfolio of LIF activities, focusing on the LIF Global programme and the LIF Community. This role will involve some international travel.

Precisely, you will support the programme by organising training and mentoring, local and international events for a global network of engineering and technology entrepreneurs; and building and maintaining a sustainable international network of LIF alumni.

LIF empowers entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact in their communities with novel technologies. LIF Global is the flagship, entry-point programme that supports innovators with a technology prototype to create an entrepreneurial mindset, and the LIF Community ensures a sustained mutually beneficial relationship with the Academy beyond the initial programme period.

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the charity and whilst we have a comprehensive product offer, we welcome innovation. As Events and Community Officer, you will be working in the Enterprise Hub team. The Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub supports talented entrepreneurs and decision makers to transform breakthrough engineering innovations into disruptive spinouts, startups and scaleups.

Our entrepreneurs benefit from the prestigious national and global network of the Academy’s Fellows and experts. Programme Manager

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead an established Inclusive and Nurturing Schools (INS) programme to implement nurturing education across seven boroughs in London, commissioned by the London Violence Reduction Unit.

About the Role

The charity is leading on the Inclusion strand of the programme, delivering training to education professionals in 70 schools across London. The charity is working in partnership with Tender, a charity specialising in the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of healthy relationships between children and young people. Tender is leading on the Healthy Relationships strand of the programme.

In particular, you will be responsible for leading the established (2022) programme to keep children supported, and thriving in school, tackle exclusions, and ensure children and young people have healthy relationship behaviours and attitudes.

Academies Enterprise Trust, a trusted and approved Apprenticeship Training provider, has been successfully delivering apprenticeships since 2014. We have recently expanded our reach, delivering apprenticeships to schools and academies outside of the Trust. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and developing our functional skills curriculum (Maths and English) for our apprentices progressing them from their initial assessment level to at least level two as part of their apprenticeship programmes.

The key responsibilities will be:

• Prepare lessons efficiently to conduct them competently.
• Create material to enable interactive and engaging delivery.
• Create schemes of work and lesson plans according to the qualification specifications.
• Set and mark learners' work daily, ensuring feedback is provided promptly
• Keep track of and maintain records of participants’ attendance, participation, and progress
• Complete course and contract-related administrative tasks to specified standards to enable funding to be claimed for each apprentice.
• Supporting the wider Apprenticeships function
• You will have a proven track record of delivering English and maths Functional Skills across Levels 1 and 2 remotely using online technology and delivering face-to-face. 
• You will hold a teaching qualification and Level 3 in Maths and English.

Our programme supporting Higher Technical Education has big ambitions. Known as the ‘missing middle’ of higher education in England, we want to see the declines in level 4 and 5 technical education reversed and more providers emerge who can offer high-quality education and training to help people access highskilled occupations. Key to this transformation is the role of Institutes of Technology (IoTs) – collaborations between further education colleges, universities and employers – and we have been working closely with the National Network of Institutes of Technology to support their success. We are looking for a Project Officer to play an integral part in the successful delivery of this programme, as well as becoming an advocate for Higher Technical Qualifications more broadly. 

This role sits within the small Higher Education Team at Gatsby, and you will work closely with the Project Manager and Director of Programmes to: develop and deliver a range of projects to support our programme objectives; represent Gatsby at external meetings; organise meetings and events; and develop strong working relationships with key partners.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects to support Gatsby’s Higher Technical Education programme, with clear objectives and planning, delivering outputs on time and within budget.
• Research, create and write compelling communications that support programme objectives.
• Co-ordinate regular meetings and external events, including drafting agendas, writing minutes, liaising with and organising contributions from external stakeholders.
• Work effectively with other Gatsby programme teams to ensure higher technical education is appropriately represented within their areas of focus.
• Commission consultants/researchers to undertake pieces of work that will inform programme direction.
• Undertake project evaluations to measure success, analysing outputs/feedback and making informed recommendations to improve activity.
• Manage the National Network of Institutes of Technology website and LinkedIn pages, ensuring they remain a compelling national presence with engaging and relevant content.
• Provide administrative and budget support for beneficiary grants and contracts.
• Create and maintain data and contact information relevant to the Institutes of Technology and other key stakeholders in higher technical education.
• Maintain a secure understanding of all high-level Gatsby policy positions and able to communicate them effectively in written form and verbally.

• Develop the service provided to budget holders, promoting good financial management, accountability, efficiency and value for money.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) looking to run until August 1st, situated onsite at least 4 days a week in Central London. The responsibilities primarily revolve around activities across the university's London campus, encompassing weekly meetings, check-ins/checkouts. The post holder will share rotational on-call duties during working hours, promptly addressing urgent issues with the support of senior team members. Core tasks include managing check-ins, room preparations, assisting students with roommate issues and room changes, addressing student complaints, updating access systems, managing room keys and guest passes, overseeing stock levels, and handling inquiries both in-person and via email.
