Carers Wellbeing Group Co-Facilitator

Southwark, Greater London (On-site)
£15.32 per hour
Part-time (4 hours every other week)
Temporary (Sessional contract)
Job description

We are seeking people with personal experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges to co-facilitate a new Carers Wellbeing Group in Southwark. Delivered through ten-week cohorts comprising six weeks of psychoeducation and four weeks of peer support discussions, the group helps unpaid carers build knowledge, coping strategies, resilience and supportive networks while maintaining their own wellbeing.

Co-Facilitators will work alongside the Facilitator to support the delivery and facilitation of group sessions and discussions, as well as the preparation and clearing of the session space. They will encourage mutual respect and equal participation, draw on their lived experience where appropriate to foster hope, connection and peer support, and work collaboratively to create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment that is responsive to participants' needs.

Experience facilitating groups is not essential as sessional workers will receive support and training. The group is due to be weekly on Monday evenings between 6.30pm-8.30pm at a Walworth venue starting from November.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Closing date: Monday 12th October (8:00am)

Likely interview date: Wednesday 21st October via Teams

We encourage early applications as we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications.
