Salary: £27,113 per annum, FTE
Salary Scale Point: 15
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week
Based: Peterborough – with a mix of community, home and office working.

About the Service

CPSL Mind’s Perinatal service delivers one to one and group support to pregnant women and new mums and dads who are at risk of, or are experiencing, a mental health challenge in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire.

The main purpose of this role is to deliver the support we offer to new parents in our area by providing a collection of tools and techniques to promote positive mental wellbeing through our groups and one to one sessions. The role will specifically be aimed at reaching the Muslim community in Peterborough and bringing the cultural awareness to the support offered.

We are looking for someone who is:

• A Muslim female.
• Passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of new and expectant parents.
• A strong communicator with the ability to build positive, supportive relationships and facilitate groups and one-to-one support.
• Understanding of perinatal mental health, safeguarding and risk management.
• Able to work independently, manage a varied workload and maintain accurate records.
• Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, with a positive, strengths-based approach to supporting people.
• Able to travel across the service area.
