Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator in our Volunteers team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration, supporting the public and working in a charity environment. The Volunteer Coordinator role will involve onboarding all new volunteers from recruitment to completion, providing a comprehensive and high-quality administrative support service to teams and volunteers across the hospice.

About you

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent IT skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases & internet.
  • PR and presentation skills, e.g. ability to present Dept. at Induction training and meetings.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the reasons why people volunteer.
