Purpose of role:

The post-holder will support the development and delivery of Royal Holloway Students’ Union’s brand and identity. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager and the wider team to deliver highly-engaging design concepts along with an engaging online presence that keeps members up to date with the work of the Students’ Union.

Be responsible for strengthening our brand identity, proposition, increasing engagement, and supporting the continued growth of the Union.

Strategic Alignment:

The role will make a significant contribution to the overall strategic success of the organisation. Ensuring we have an effective brand that speaks to our members. Allowing them to get the best out of the Union and their University experience.

In particular, the role will support all teams at the Students’ Union to creatively advertise and communicate the work they do and how it makes student life better.

Citizens Advice Hammersmith & Fulham (CAHF), part of the national Citizens Advice network, is a thriving local advice organisation that provides information, advice and casework support to 18,000 local people per year. We are recruiting for the brand new role of Early Intervention Training Coordinator.

The Tackling Destitution Together project is a partnership between Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham and Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank aimed at enabling eff ective early intervention in the borough and focussing on support for local disabled people. The project is a pilot, funded by Citizens Advice and Trussell Trust national bodies for 1 year.

We will do this by; training frontline workers & volunteers on the main issues aff ecting those at risk of poverty and on how to eff ectively navigate systems to resolve these issues. Using training and resources to enhance the conversations held at an early stage and focus on connecting people with information and support before they fall into crisis. Hand holding people through these journeys navigating the system and resolving the root cause of their issues. Embedding research and participation to demonstrate the impact of this approach.

We will know we have succeeded if; our training off er is taken up by those agencies seeing people at crisis trigger points. The agencies we support report improved confi dence to assess and signpost before a crisis. Indicators of crisis, such as food bank referrals, reduce in number. We can demonstrate the impact of hand holding support to prevent people from reaching crisis.

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. About the role:

Overall purpose of the role …

• To provide wide-ranging administrative support to the Head of Publishing Development and Commissioning Editor.
• To provide routine administration of the Society’s online submission and tracking system.
• To prepare book titles for production by ensuring all necessary information is present, including manuscript files, author information and necessary permissions for secondary-source content.
• To collate relevant data and conduct project-based research to guide colleagues and external editors on editorial and business decisions and to drive development.

Major accountabilities …

1. Liaise with and provide support for authors, editors and reviewers using the Society’s online submission systems and autonomously undertake routine checking and chasing to ensure there are no delays, as specified by the Head of Publishing Development.

• Help authors, editors and reviewers with their queries
• Extend deadlines in conjunction with editors
• Support the Commissioning Editor in gathering feedback from external collaborators on a regular and timely basis

2. Work with authors/editors to ensure adherence to ethical policies and to secure timely delivery of outstanding material.

• Undertake initial quality check of manuscripts upon submission including running an iThenticate report, co-author verification and identifying conflicts of interest.
• Assess manuscripts for any content that may require written permission for reuse, and work with authors and editors to ensure this is provided ahead of the article being ready for production. Record any outliers that may impact future licencing.
• Support the Society’s publishing permissions workflow by fielding, assessing and responding to requests, and liaising with colleagues, as necessary

3. In collaboration with colleagues, work to ensure the effective and efficient operation of workflows connecting editorial and production teams by providing general administrative support to editorial and production staff.

• Monitor page extents for new submissions and books nearing production and communicate outlying cases to editors and colleagues 
• Calculate length estimates of books nearing production
• Complete prompt and accurate upload of accepted articles to the production management system within timeframes
• Initiate production process and support flow of relevant information (editorial to production) within agreed timescale, including keeping of accurate notes on manuscript information within Editorial Manager
• Post-publication administration of records, to include book folders, closing records in Editorial Manager, and related tasks, as necessary

Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with our client to help them recruit for an interim Head of Fundraising to join their team. The organisation is a charity founded in 2018 by families bereaved by gambling-related suicide. They operate the UK's only specialist support service for people affected by gambling-related suicide. Their work prevents gambling-related harm for those who gamble and prevents those impacted by a gambling-related suicide from suffering additional harm.

This role is offered on a flexible 6-month contract basis paying a salary between £55,000 to £60,000 per annum pro rata with remote working arrangements and occasional staff meetings.

The Head of Fundraising is responsible for developing and delivering the fundraising strategy to support the charity’s work across its programme areas, including the family support, research, and prevention. They will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and colleagues across the organisation to deliver a multi-income stream plan. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with funders to promote ongoing support. Critically, the post holder will be responsible for developing fundraising propositions in response to the new statutory levy on gambling operators and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the charity’s funding pipeline.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in a leadership level fundraising role delivering a transformational strategic plan. They are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of raising funds from multiple income streams, including trusts, foundations, government and public bodies, and other funding bodies. They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of growing and developing an organisation’s fundraising and income generation capability. About the role

• Be a key point of contact for receiving and processing referrals to the Providence Row, Resource Centre.
• Complete assessments of those referred to the Centre
• Make statutory and non-statutory housing referrals dependant on the persons need and eligibility.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including outreach teams, health services, City of London Police and other support organisations.
• Work within the Team Around Me model, engaging closely with the City Outreach Teams and the Navigator service to develop and implement joint action plans for people rough sleeping.
• Connect City clients with essential health services to address tri-morbidity—the complex combination of physical ill health, mental health, and substance use that often affects individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.
• Facilitate referrals to training, employability, and volunteering programs to support long-term stability and independence.

The Grants Officer will work as part of the Grants & Programmes Team to support organisations applying for funding each year through the Foundations grants programme.  The post holder manages important relationships with potential and current grantees, building trust and an understanding of their purpose and aims and supporting them to submit appropriate and high-quality applications for funding against the funds criteria and Foundation’s priorities. To contribute to wider initiatives, as directed by the Senior Grants Manager to ensure the Foundation maintain high standards and contribute to national data sharing and initiatives that strengthen the work and reach of the foundation. The Grants Officer will report to the Senior Grants Manager and will work closely with colleagues across the Foundation contributing to the delivery of the Foundation’s Strategic Plan, Vision and values.

Responsibilities
To undertake tasks associated with BLCF's grantmaking functions, including carrying out due diligence and assessments of grants applications (under the supervision of the Senior Grants Manager).

Process all applications within agreed timelines, working alongside Fund Leads to review and assess grant applications effectively. 

Work alongside members of the team and Data Officer to maximise use of our in-house CRM database for monitoring and impact reporting.  

Provide grant-making support and advice to potential and existing grantees on our funds and programmes, under the guidance of the Senior Grants Manager, to ensure open and transparent access to our programmes and proactively looking to address inequality and fairer access to opportunities the Foundation offers. 

Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that the Foundation achieves excellence in grant-making and all its operational aspects. 

Carry out other associated duties, which may arise, develop, or be assigned, in line with the scale and general nature of the post. 
 

Performance Management

Contribute to the production of delivery/donor reports as required to funders as requested by Senior Grants Manager. 

Work with Senior Grants Manager to agreed development areas in annual appraisal to ensure high levels of knowledge and expertise are developed that add value to the Foundation. 

Ensure appropriate levels of training are maintained and a good working understanding of the policies and procedures of the Foundation.

Relationship Management
Maintain and share our vision and values and help those who wish to work with us understand the processes and requirements we have. Listen and learn, and share the needs of communities back into the work of the Foundation to ensure we are always 'need led'. 

Representing the Organisation
