The role

MLMC is now looking for a part-time Finance and Administration Officer. The successful applicant will manage MLMC’s day-to-day finances providing financial information to the Charity Coordinator and other staff as needed. Additional duties include administration/governance support to the Charity Coordinator and to manage the day to day running of the office (this does not involve any people management). This role calls for an individual with accounts and/or book keeping experience, the ability to run an end to end payroll using a computerised system including HMRC and year end reporting, and excellent administration skills. It is crucial that you will be able to communicate politely, professionally, effectively and clearly with all stakeholders (e.g. fellow staff, customers etc.).
All of the charity’s roles require individuals who show a passion for empowering, working with, and raising the voices of people with learning disabilities.
We need a self-starter who enjoys a challenge, can hit the ground running and is able to work with minimal supervision.

Job Purpose and Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and expanding charity and work within a dynamic team. The finance manager is responsible for support and maintenance of financial services and reporting to senior management. These duties include but are not limited to supporting the Finance Officer, maintaining accounts functions, budgeting and assisting in the drafting of monthly management reports.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the COO the Finance Manager will support and assist the Finance Officer in all routine bookkeeping duties, ensuring the smooth running of financial operations. The Finance Manager ensures that effective methods are put in place to meet current and upcoming regulations of Charities e.g. Charities SORP (FRS102).
Duties (this list is not exhaustive)
· Supervision of regular posting of purchase and sales ledger entries.
· Preparing monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts.
· Compiling Balance sheet reconciliations
· Facilitating the use of account software to generate management accounts reports.
· Preparing quarterly ‘Income and Expenditure’ reports for Managers.
· Preparing interim/final financial project reports for submission to funders.
· Providing accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process
· Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported correctly
· Streamlining and improving accounting systems, controls and process environment
· Reviewing and updating the current organisation's policies and procedures
· Preparing supporting schedules for annual audits and working with external accountants to assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
Knowledge
As an experienced Finance Manager, you must be knowledgeable in the following areas:
· Proven expertise with computerised accounts systems.
· An understanding of Liberty Account software would be an added advantage.
· Understanding of Charities Commission requirements
· Highly proficient computer skills including in-depth knowledge of Excel and major Microsoft programs
· GCSE Mathematics and English
· AAT Level 3 or equivalent
· Good editing, data collection, and record-keeping with analysis skillset

Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for the management and technical support of the Finance function and acts as advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assists in the development of the organisation’s financial strategy, modelling new projects, preparing budgets and reporting on financial performance.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accounts on Xero and all related bookkeeping tasks.
Main duties and responsibilities

Responsibility for bookkeeping on the organisation’s accounting system (Xero);

Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the organisation and individual cost centres, including variance analysis and reports for the Board. This information should include a short narrative on the current position, future prospects, and financial risks and opportunities. The reports will be tailored as necessary for the Board and management;

Provide robust financial information including accurate balance sheets and a rolling cash flow forecast;

Act as key point of contact for project budget holders on financial matters;

Carry out regular reviews of spending under various grants, alerting budget holders and CEO to any actual or potential over or underspend;

Work with CEO and managers on fundraising bids and financial reports for funders;

Produce statutory accounts, files and schedules, in partnership with the3million’s accounting firm;

Monitor records of all funding and funding sources and the appropriate allocation of incoming funding;

Person Specification
The post requires the holder to:

Have an appropriate accounting qualification – in full or part (AAT, ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA);

Have a minimum of three years of professional experience, including experience of operating within a not-for-profit organisation (managing accounts for restricted and unrestricted funds);

Be proficient in Xero Online accounting software and Excel spreadsheets, including experience in using Power Query;

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover. You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

About the role:
Working with the CEO, the post-holder will ensure the charity functions effectively and has long-term financial viability and sustainability. The post-holder, in conjunction with the Treasurer, will ensure the Board meets its fiscal responsibilities and all regulatory requirements are complied with.
You will advise, report to, and consult with the CEO on all matters relating to the management of RSG's financial resources and on external factors that may affect its financial situation. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

About You -We are looking for someone with substantial financial leadership experience.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Proven track record of leading a finance team and providing professional finance business support, preferably within a fast-paced organisation.
- Experienced in preparing organisational budgets for an international or multi-site business.

The role
This role is being recruited in order to provide maternity cover for the Finance & Payroll Manager. The role assists the Head of Finance in the delivery of a high-quality finance service to the charity, through oversight and delivery of key finance processes - including accounts payable, payroll, control account reconciliation and completion of VAT returns.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. We provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Write accurate, inspiring and compelling fundraising propositions and reports for potential and existing major donors

Complete timely event reviews to improve and inform future decision making and planning.
