How does the Graduate Scheme work?
Our Graduate Scheme is a two-year career-development programme and we ask candidates to commit to staying with the charity for at least this duration. After completing your first year of the scheme there will be the opportunity to take on a new challenge and apply for a promotion to Senior Education Worker. Once you’ve completed the two year scheme, you’re guaranteed a position with us - our Graduate Scheme roles are permanent jobs. As we’re an expanding organisation, new job roles and further promotions are regularly available for those who stay beyond their initial two years.

Working hours
Mon and Thurs: 09:30-18:00 Tues, Weds, Fri: 09:00-17:30 (Some out-of-hours work will be required from time to time - for example, early starts to deliver workshops in schools.) Education Workers are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

Do you want to work as part of a small team to deliver sessions and empower adults with learning disabilities and autism? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player to join our team as an Assistant Facilitator.
Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes helping adults with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs become more happy, healthy and independent. You’ll help people build the life skills they need to make positive long term changes. You’ll support our students in small sessions providing individualised attention to students, both at our training centres and out in the community. You’ll help our students achieve their personal objectives and keep learning in an engaging, fun and stimulating way.
Main responsibilities
- You’ll work flexibly to support students to engage in a variety of projects and classes
- You’ll be responsible for completing daily administrative tasks including recording student learning and maintaining wellbeing records
- You’ll provide flexible delivery support, delivering whole or part sessions as and when needed
- You’ll independently set up, plan and lead free time activities
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll have experience working within social care and providing services directly to adult with learning disabilities and autism (paid or unpaid)
- You’ll demonstrate experience in leading classes, project activities and/or sessions without support
- You’re an excellent communicator, someone who listens with great patience and empathy
- You’re able to inspire trust and confidence, behaving with integrity and honesty at all times

What you’ll be doing
As our Lead Housekeeper you will be overseeing the housekeeping function, always ensuring our learning location is clean and tidy and presents a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
This is a varied and busy role. You will effectively manage the housekeeping team, providing clear direction, motivation, support, and feedback. As well as play an active role in recruiting, inducting, and developing your team.

Field Studies Council Castle Head is located in south Cumbria between the coast of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District National Park. The centre is set in 30 acres of grounds with a diversity of habitats including woodland, grassland and freshwater.
With over 150 beds, 5 workrooms, a meeting room to seat up to 120 and a sports hall we cater for most group needs and deliver a wide range of programmes in field studies and adventurous activities.
