Do you have working knowledge in environmental legislation and regulations?

Do you have experience implementing environmental policies in a global organisation?

Are you skilled at collecting, analysing and presenting Environmental Policy related data in a sizable organisation?

Tearfund wants to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential in the world God created, but within its environmental limit. To achieve this, we have an environmental policy to improve our behavior and adhere to all legislation.  To help us achieve this, we are looking for a passionate, self motivated and disciplined person to join our Corporate Priorities Team, working with teams based in the UK and globally.

You will be involved in:

  • Reporting and monitoring environmental impact of the organisation as required by law
  • Monitoring ongoing performance and work on improvement
  • Advise and support teams across Tearfund on how to better their environmental performance
  • Communicating to both internal and external parties involved

You will have experience in:

  • All current environmental laws in the UK centred around The Environmental Protection Act 1990 , ESOS and SECR reporting, and preferably overseas as well
  • Managing environmental data collection systems that connect with finance and external agencies
  • Working with people at all levels
  • Training others within a work environment

So if you have a genuine interest in environmental issues, strong IT skills and experience in Excel and other data-related packages, we would love to hear from you!

We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and those from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds (in our UK workforce) as these groups are currently under-represented at Tearfund.

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from Tearfund's Teddington office and from your home by agreement with the line manager.

Please note: This is a part-time, 24 month, fixed term contract working 21 hours per week. The full time salary is £41,186 per annum and the part time salary is £24,711 per annum.

All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
