Teddington, Greater London (Hybrid)
£33,202 per year
Full-time

Job description

Are you looking to develop your career and grow your knowledge and experience of logistics in the charity sector?  Are you wanting to enhance your skills in procurement and general logistics, ensuring compliance with processes and delivering a high quality service? Then we have the ideal role for you!

As Logistics Officer, your primary focus will be on supporting our UK teams in the procurement of goods and services. You'll be working closely with many different teams, supporting procurements, advising and helping with their queries and completing general, day-to-day procurement administration.  As well as this, you'll be supporting other logistics activities, such as the administration of the vehicle lease fund and coordination of goods from the UK to our country offices.  As part of the wider Global Logistics team you will collaborate in sharing ideas and developing resources to continually enhance our logistics services.

Along with a passion for logistics and an underlying desire to serve, we are looking for someone who:

  • thrives on developing relationships
  • has had experience in a procurement role
  • is competent in IT with the ability to learn and use new IT systems
  • thinks creatively and has the ability to communicate confidently, clearly and diplomatically both verbally and in writing

Does this role sound like the perfect role for you? Then we would love to hear from you.

Hybrid Working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from our Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager.

All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.

We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and those from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds (in our UK workforce) as these groups are currently under-represented at Tearfund.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
