Job description

Tearfund's vision is an exciting one: to see people lifted out of poverty, living transformed lives and fulfilling their God-given potential. We do this through transforming communities through the local church. In the UK and International Partnerships team, we have the joy of helping to make that happen.

We're at an exciting stage in the UK and International Partnerships team at Tearfund, as we reach out to a range of UK churches and donors, seeking to secure larger gifts to enable Tearfund to help more people who are living in poverty.

Our vision is to train and equip 250,000 global churches to be centres of  holistic transformation within their communities. We have the privilege of working with a wide range of funders, as well as Tearfund's field staff, technical experts and leadership team. We enable churches and other donors to connect with the issues they are passionate about and to challenge the injustices they see.

We are looking for an excellent Church Partnerships Executive to connect with church leaders that already support us, and build relationships with churches who are keen to learn more about us.

Being a good relationship builder is essential to this role - both internally and externally.

If you are a confident, proactive and self-motivated relationship builder, passionate about justice and the role of the local church, who is able to inspire others, we would love to hear from you. Part of this role involves speaking to churches and taking leaders on international trips.

Interviews for this role will take place on the 13th June 2024. Applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager.

We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and those from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds (in our UK workforce) as these groups are currently under-represented at Tearfund.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
