The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs and key stakeholder relationships in South West, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the South West to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally.

Through management of the policy and public affairs function in Northern Ireland, the Policy & Public Affairs Manager will ensure the Trussell Trust strengthens its influence in Northern Ireland and helps bring about the policy changes required to end the need for food banks.
Using specialist policy knowledge about the structural causes of poverty and hunger in Northern Ireland and the UK, and sound political and procedural knowledge, the Policy & Public Affairs Manager will ensure our policy influencing has a robust evidence base and manage advocacy strategies to achieve policy change at different levels of government, with a particular focus on national government in NI (Stormont) and ensuring close alignment with the Trussell Trust’s work to influence the UK Government (Westminster).

Role overview
The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. The Role
This role will ensure the organisation is following robust financial systems and processes, carry out all day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensure timely production of financial information to inform management decisions. As a Disability Adviser, you will establish, deliver and monitor high quality, expert advice and support for postgraduate taught and research students with disabilities, including mental health and general health conditions. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Samaritans Cymru have an exciting opportunity to join their team in Cardiff as Wales Team Coordinator. You’ll provide vital support to the team by coordinating and supporting the activities and operations of the Wales Office. In this role, you’ll be key to planning, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the Wales team. The role
The role offers lots of variation. One day you could be working on project planning with the team, contributing to exciting new suicide prevention projects, the next you could be writing reports for funders or working on funding applications to shout about the amazing work Samaritans does, or providing secretariat support to the Senedd’s Cross-Party Group on Suicide Prevention.
As an effective and efficient organiser, with a positive and helpful mindset, we’ll rely on you to provide critical support to the Wales team across all areas of business planning and administration, including project management and budgeting.
A great communicator with compassion and dedication for our work and cause, you’ll lead the coordination of many fundamental business activities and operations. work in close collaboration with the Wales team members, volunteers in Wales, UK based staff and with our external stakeholders.
This role provides direct influence over the realisation of core strategic objectives, as well as the smooth functioning of day-to-day business operations.

The terms
- A 12-month fixed term contract covering for Maternity leave

Samaritans in Wales
Join a friendly, supportive, and ambitious staff team in Wales. Our office is in the centre of Cardiff (Cathedral Road); an office within a shared building, close to shops. There are around 700 Samaritans volunteers work across 10 Welsh locations. These volunteers respond to calls for help every day of the week via telephone, e-mail, online chat and in person at our branches or at events across Wales. We also work with the public and the media to inform them about Samaritans and explain how we can help people find their own way forward.
We reach out to groups where there is a high risk of suicide and emotional distress. We work in partnership with other agencies to achieve change locally and inform policy decisions which have an impact on suicide risk.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by domestic/sexual abuse. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing holistic support to mothers, children, and young people (CYP) during their time in refuge and as they transition into the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and Delivering Services:
- Provide personalised 1:1 family support services to families residing in the refuge, addressing the impact of domestic/sexual abuse on the family unit.
- Collaborate in planning and delivering activities tailored to parents and CYP, including educational, leisure, and therapeutic services.
- Facilitate the strengthening of parent-child relationships and empower families to enhance their resilience.
Assessment and Risk Management:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of families' needs and risks, utilising organisational assessment tools and evaluation methods.
- Assess and promote parenting skills and children's needs while supporting safety planning for families.
- Manage safeguarding incidents related to children in the refuge, liaising with relevant authorities as necessary.
Development of Early Years/Holiday Play Schemes:
- Create inclusive and engaging play environments and sessions for CYP within the refuge.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts to sustain and expand play schemes.
- Provide supervision and guidance to volunteers and sessional workers involved in play sessions.
Integrated Working and Partnership:
- Collaborate proactively with internal and external services to ensure holistic support for service users.
- Facilitate access to relevant services for CYP with additional needs, fostering partnerships with local institutions.
- Maintain accurate records of service users and utilize Solace's electronic database effectively.
- Engage in fundraising activities and procurement of donations for the benefit of CYP in refuge.
Corporate Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures.
- Promote awareness and integration of Equality & Diversity policies within the community.
- Uphold the service user voice in all aspects of service delivery and development.
- Attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Child Development, Youth & Community Work, or equivalent at NVQ level 3 or higher.
- First Aid/Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Safeguarding training.
