Job description

Facilities Planning Managers

£40,000 - £46,000 per annum dependant on relevant skills and experience.

Location – Home-based, with some business travel to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.

We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity that delivers outstanding grassroots facilities, more and better places to play, transforming lives and communities where it is needed most.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of community sport across England. Facility Planning Managers are at the heart of the Football Foundation's strategic planning work, leading the development of Local Football Facility Plans and the rollout of Local Community Sports Facility Plans. Working with partners across sport and local government, you'll use data, insight and collaboration to identify investment priorities that improve access to high-quality sports facilities and deliver lasting benefits for communities.

About the Football Foundation

Over the last 25 years, the Foundation has awarded more than 75,000 grants worth more than £1.3 billion to deliver the grassroots facilities that every community across the country needs and deserves.

As the biggest sport charity in the country, we’re a unique partnership between key football partners with a shared goal – ensuring every community in England has a great place to play.

We’re incredibly proud of the difference we’ve made to grassroots sport up and down the country since we started our journey, but we’re not slowing down any time soon.

What are we looking for?

You must have a sound understanding of the strategic planning, development and investment of community sports facilities, and the contribution they make to increasing participation, strengthening communities and delivering wider social outcomes. You'll have a proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across a wide range of organisations and be confident managing a varied portfolio of work.

Strong communication and programme management skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret complex information, influence stakeholders and develop strategic recommendations that deliver lasting benefits for communities through investment in sport and physical activity.

We are committed to helping our team members maintain a healthy work-life balance, so offer flexible working around core hours to help achieve that.
