Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) is a lifeline for children healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. We’re looking for a new Assistant Support Worker to join our team – helping guide children and families on their recovery journey.

Position: Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) Assistant Support Worker

Location: The role is based in our Reading office with hybrid flexible working arrangements to provide for working at home and in the office. The role requires frequent travel across Reading, West Berkshire, Wokingham, South Oxfordshire and Vale of the White Horse to support our service users.

Contract: Permanent part time – 22 hours per week, weekdays. We’re open to discussing working patterns that match both your needs and our service delivery.

Salary range: £15,387 - £16,447 pro-rata per annum (full time equivalent range £25,878 - £27,661 per annum) 

About the role:

The Assistant Support Worker will work across the BB4K service. Following training they will support the service through groupwork, assessments and, subject to development, hold a small case load providing one to one support work.

The objective of the role is to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to enable service users make positive changes in theirs and their children’s lives and reduce the likelihood of further trauma.

About you:

A successful Assistant Support Worker will need personal, professional or academic experience of support work for people experiencing domestic abuse, and an interest in / experience in supporting vulnerable children and families.

• Designing how students engage with learning content so that it drives participation, not just access
• Developing approaches that encourage students to return, interact and remain connected to the cohort throughout the programme lifecycle

• Structuring content in a way that supports ongoing engagement

Cohort experience

• Building a sense of community and belonging across a national cohort
• Encouraging interaction and participation beyond scheduled events

• Identifying drop-off points and introducing improvements
• Using data and feedback to continuously refine the experience

Collaboration

• Working closely with the Communications team to align with wider messaging and campaigns

What we’re looking for

We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Experience designing engaging digital or cohort-based experiences, communities or learning journeys
• A strong understanding of how to encourage ongoing participation and engagement across a distributed audience
• Experience working with digital learning platforms (LMS/LXP or similar), community platforms or digital engagement tools
• The ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-moving environment

Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager — Go Beyond £35,000–£37,000 | Fully Remote | Permanent | Full-time

Go Beyond has given over 21,000 vulnerable children life-changing residential breaks since 1994. Young carers who spend their days looking after parents. Children living in poverty for whom a school holiday means hunger, not adventure. Kids who've been bullied or bereaved and need a week away from their ordinary life.

The charity is entirely self-funded. £1.8 million a year, every penny raised by supporters. No government money. Which means the work this fundraising team does is directly and specifically what makes those breaks possible.

This is the role that sits at the heart of that.

What makes this moment unusual:

Go Beyond's flagship campaign, Ice Cream Moments, launches this summer — backed by Louis Theroux, James Acaster, David Gower and Jenny Agutter. The trustees want to go viral. A legacy programme is built and ready to launch. An alumni programme connecting with 21,000+ former beneficiaries is research-complete and waiting for someone to open the door. And a loyal supporter base of 200–300 regular givers — many of whom have been giving for over a decade — is generating £90,000 a year with almost no stewardship behind it.

Sara, the Director of Fundraising, describes what's needed like this: "Think of this as your own company. Think of this income stream as your domain — you could make it something amazing."

What the role involves:

The Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Communications Manager will own the supporter communications function end to end. This is a project management and strategy role — not an execution role. The doing sits with two direct reports and a network of freelancers. Your job is to build the plan, manage the team, deliver the campaigns and make sure the data tells you what's working.

In practice that means:

• Building and managing proper supporter journeys for regular givers, challenge event runners and Ice Cream Moments donors
• Project managing the full campaigns calendar — four annual appeals, Ice Cream Moments, challenge events, and a growing digital communications programme
• Developing and implementing a data strategy, setting up income dashboards and overseeing the CRM
• Launching the legacy programme and, in time, the alumni programme
• Managing two direct reports: a Digital Marketing Officer and a Data & Admin / Challenge Events Officer
• Writing an 18-month strategy with proper pipelines and income forecasts

What we're looking for:

This is not a pure fundraiser role or a pure marketing role. It's a hybrid — and the right person will see that as a feature, not a confusion.

• A track record of owning campaigns end to end — not being part of them, owning them. Specific examples, with dates, outputs and results
• Genuine data literacy — comfortable in a CRM, able to run queries, understand segmentation. Not expert-level, but curious enough that you're never caught out
• Financial awareness — you ask what the target is before anything else. You work backwards from an income number
• Hands-on as well as strategic — you can delegate and direct, but you can also do
• Strong project management — multiple workstreams, freelancers, deadlines you can't move

Charity sector experience is welcome but not essential. Commercial direct marketing, agency-side or individual giving backgrounds are all genuinely considered.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a People Project Partner - Job Families to form an important part of the team delivering a people transformation project. 

The project is focused on creating clear job families, clear job descriptions, updating policies, benefits and terms and conditions of employment. It will build capability and support people related processes that provide the basis for talent and career development and ensure colleague practices are legally compliant, fair and aligned with our organisational values.

This role is advertised as full-time, 37.5 hours per week, however we would consider applications from those wanting reduced hours at 30 per week.

The Role:

• This role is key to helping us meet our financial goals through creative ways.

• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. Occasional travel to other offices and remote locations may also be required.
• This is a fixed term contract until September 2027.

Engagement Partner Scotland 

Job Description and Person Specification

Reporting to: Area Manager 

Direct reports: None 

Location of work: Scotland – Glasgow/Edinburgh or surrounding area. This post holder will be based at home and will deliver a hybrid model of engagement, combining in-person visits to schools and other establishments within an allocated local area with remote engagement.  

The role will require regular local travel, including some early morning breakfast visits, and irregular travel throughout the UK with minimal overnight stays. A full driver’s licence and use of a vehicle is required. 

Contract type: Term time only 

Contract Length: Permanent

Salary:  £31,500 (this will be pro rata to the working pattern)

Job Purpose 

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Engagement Partner – Hybrid will be responsible for delivering both face to face and remote engagement with schools, teachers, children and young people, and their wider communities within an allocated area. The role will support schools with the setup, rollout and continuous improvement of breakfast provision, and engage with school communities to educate on the importance of breakfast on learning, enabling increased uptake in a barrier and stigma free way by optimising provision and encouraging reach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

• To develop strong relationships with supported schools in the allocated area, enabling, preserving, embedding, enhancing and extending stigma- and barrier-free breakfast provision through a combination of in person and remote engagement.

• To educate and engage the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people, on the importance of breakfast and the implications of hunger as a barrier to learning through assemblies, staff meetings, online support, virtual and in-person events, and regional events throughout the academic year.

• To support the recruitment of new schools by launching new breakfast provisions through a hybrid delivery model, adapting to the requirements of each school and the needs of children and young people, and advising on best practice.

• To support supporter visits, volunteering activity, funder engagement and any related requirements, both in person and remotely.

• To support any media requests as directed through the Policy & Engagement team.

The Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced foundations and / or corporate fundraiser who wants a role focused on business and relationship development. You will join an incredibly exciting team that has grown tremendously over the past 2 years. The role is responsible for a busy portfolio of existing and prospective funders (that give predominantly 7 figure grants), adopting a relational approach to fundraising. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has experience in working with corporate donors and building corporate engagement strategies, experience and relationships with large US foundations or knowledge of the Asian foundation and corporate space.

Job Purpose

This exciting role focuses on raising income for the Start Network and its global initiatives, including the Start Fund, Start Ready, innovation and the expansion of a locally led network. The postholder will be an experienced trusts and / or corporate fundraiser who wants a role focused on business and relationship development. They will be responsible for an exciting portfolio of existing and prospective funders (that give 6-7 figure grants), adopting a relational approach to fundraising.

You will be responsible for carrying out prospect donor mapping, growing a fundraising pipeline, building relationships with prominent foundations and corporates in the humanitarian space, writing technical proposals as required, pitching to donors well-articulated concepts, and building fundraising capacity within the organisation.

It is critical that the postholder is comfortable with developing new relations. We have grown a significant number of new donors within our Foundations and Corporates over the last few years, and we hope to continue the growth of the team in this exciting role, so proof of having grown an income stream is key.

Finally, the Partnerships Funding Advisor will sit within a team of 4 focusing on strengthening and increasing the philanthropic portfolio and will work alongside the Partnerships Engagement Officer, one other Partnerships Funding Advisor and will report to the Partnerships Manager.
